My husband and I went to Double Yolk Pancake House with a friend after he recommended going there. This restaurant has a clear police/military theme. This restaurant has some amazing food, which you would expect if it is frequented by first responders. I was going to get a pancakes or waffle dish before my husband suggested the French toast. And I'm glad that he did. I had the Crispy Chocolate Peanut Butter Stuffed French Toast. The French toast had a crispy corn flakes crust. The chocolate and peanut butter sauce on top was a wonderful addition. It didn't require any syrup. Our server checked in on us frequently. We had a really good meal for a really good price. I highly recommend Double Yolk Pancake House!

Food was awesome! Pancakes were 3 huge very thick tasty pancakes. Service very attentive. Busy but friendly. We met friends there we had not seen in a while and were able to sit and chitchat for a couple of hours without being hustled out. To be able to sit there was very relaxing and not stressful.

Decent breakfast spot. We stopped in one morning for a quick breakfast after seeing the generally favorable reviews. The restaurant wasn't crowded so we were seated immediately. I can't recall our waitresses name, but she did her job. She wasn't very friendly and didn't provide service with a smile or anything though. She just had a very matter-of-fact, robotic like demeanor like it was just another blah day on the job for her. I opted for the hungry man breakfast. It came with bacon, sausage (patty and link), eggs, hash browns, and toast. I didn't care for the sausage, but everything else was pretty good. Nothing spectacular or anything, but it was edible. My sister had the french connection which was french toast, eggs, sausage and bacon. She liked her food sans the sausage... My mom also had the french toast with a side of bacon. They wouldn't allow her to substitute Texas toast (bread) for raisin bread though. She frequently makes this requests because she likes her french toast made with raisin bread and it's never an issue. It was strange that this place doesn't allow it. The portion sizes are very generous though and the place was clean with a nice ambiance. Overall the experience was cool, but I don't plan on returning anytime soon.

My co-worker and I were craving breakfast/brunch. She suggested ordering from Double Yolk. It was conveniently located from work. Decided to try it out for the first time. I can say food & service was good. The lady that took my order was polite and friendly. I ordered the mini waffles that were topped with fresh fruit. Would've liked the waffle to be a little crispy. My co-workers food was just right! Staff/cooks forgot to add butter and syrup to my order. I called immediately and staff member was very apologetic. Asked if I wanted or could come back to get it. I told her I couldn't as I was at work. She was nice enough to comp me for that. I appreciated that she did that for me. I would definitely order from here in the future because of the good customer service experience!!!

Big ole omelette with hash browns. Two pancakes on the side makes it complete.

It's five stars on value alone. Two of us stuffed to the gills for $20 + tip. Add good food, huge menu, friendly staff, and proximity to outlet mall - ring the bell, we have a winner!! We ordered two different omelettes, they were big 'uns. Fresh ingredients and cooked just right. So big in fact, we probably could have split one just fine given the side items. Omelette comes with hash browns or American potatoes, filling but just okay. The best side item were the pancakes. Biscuit and gravy was average: peppery gravy kinda lukewarm with biscuit of the store bought variety. Anyway, I digress. Five stars on eggcelent omelettes and good service at good value.

We talked to the person there and found it was run by his family, and they do an exceptional job. My wife had the Liberty Cheesesteak with added onions while I had a combo Italian Beef/Italian Sausage sandwich - dipped with added onion, hot pepper and cheese. We also had a side of fries. Both sandwiches were big, which you would expect. The Philly had finely chopped steak with the peppers, onions and cheese all mixed in. My wife said it was fantastic. My combo was incredible. The beef was seasoned perfectly and was clearly not sitting all day in the au-jus (which when talking to the owner afterwards he confirmed was the case). You can always tell this because the meat had a nice texture and was not overly salty, but instead as I stated seasoned and cooked perfectly. Additionally, the fries were well cooked, crisp and hot. They take care to keep the oil fresh and clean, so the fries taste like fries instead of old dirty oil. As an added bonus he even treated my pup to a small dish of ice cream which she enjoyed on a hot day. Fortunately, we showed up a little after the lunch rush and was able to spend a few minutes talking about the business and baseball and our combined hate of the dreaded Dodgers. Even if I don't go back there tomorrow, it's definitely a must stop next time through the area.

The place is really only for takeout as there's only chairs for waiting for orders available but the inside was clean and well kept. The staff are really nice and when I asked them if they had a gyro salad that I could order because I didn't see it on the menu they said they could make it. It came piled with nicely cooked gyro slices and the Greek salad underneath was loaded with fresh slices of cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and a bunch of feta and Kalamata olives. The salad came with tzatziki and packages of Greek dressing but I asked for a pita on the side and made myself a gyro with some of the salad. Even with a packed sandwich there was still plenty of meat left to enjoy with the salad. For $14 it was a good value too. Looking forward to being back the next time I'm in the mood for a gyro or any of the other tasty looking things on their menu.

Cheesesteaks, burgers, sandwiches, gyros, shakes, and plenty of sides; there's a little bit of everything. We ordered an Oreo shake, lemon pepper fries, jalapeño poppers, a cheesesteak, and a gyro plate. Everything was made to order and came out fairly quickly, and the owner was genuinely nice and welcoming. The food was a bit mixed. The gyro meat and steak were both decent, but neither really stood out. The lemon pepper fries had a good crisp and solid seasoning, while the jalapeño poppers seemed slightly undercooked and never got that molten, creamy cheddar cheese texture you want. The Oreo shake was a safe win, and our total came to around $50. Not cheap, but not unreasonable for everything we ordered. Overall, a decent first visit. There's enough variety on the menu that I'd come back and try a few other things, but based on this meal, we won't exactly be rushing back.
