Meat eater pizza looked good, but the dough wasn't cooked at the center of the pie. My Wife placed a fairly large order yesterday for a total of 5 people and we were less than impressed. I arrived to pick up the pizzas and was told it would be 5 more minutes, thats okay though as I arrived about 5 mins before scheduled pick-up time. What was not okay was that while checking my order for accuracy I realize they had not made the Pepperoni rolls that was supposed to come with my purchase. I then had to wait an additional 10 mins while they made them and while the rest of my order is getting cold. Also we were not impressed with the pizza. Fast delivery service and pizza was good! I was looking for pizza one night and noticed that they were offering the Tuesday pizza roll special. I haven't had a pepperoni roll since my days at UT! I waited until the next day so I can take advantage of their special. They offer daily deals so I was excited to see they had the $1 pepperoni roll. I ordered a pizza as well just to try it. They offer order tracking like other big pizza chains. It was cool to see what magic was happening with my order. The food arrived hot and fresh! The pepperoni rolls were good, but I didn't remember it having so much bread. It must be that I am more carb conscious than I used to be. They are still as good as I remembered. Usually a decent bet, but the last time I ordered was not pleasantly surprised to get a cold pizza that had been thoroughly smashed and was almost half inedible. We ordered our pizzas and salad online. Waited about an hour, and received nothing. I called in and asked for an update on our order and the girl who answered stated that it would be another 50 minutes. When i asked 15 or 50 she rudely said "50!" So I asked for a refund and for my order to be canceled. I'm disappointed in the horrible customer service. We could have simply been notified of the extremely long wait, or even been given an apology for the long wait, but there was a complete lack from DoubleDaves employees. After we got off the phone we ordered from another pizza place and had our order in 15 minutes! This was overall such a negative experience. The staff and management can definitely use some training in the customer service department. read more

The Double Daves Hutto location is the worst!!! Every time I order online for pickup and it gives me a time that it will be ready, it's never near that time!!! I arrive late on purpose and still they tell me they are just making my order....EVERY TIME!!! As much as I love their pizza I like customer service just as much...I'm done with these guys!! We placed an order online, did not get any notification emails or texts yet our CC was charged. 30min go by and the delivery driver wasn't there yet so we called to check on the order. They said they had no order that had been placed and told us to contact our bank to get our money back instead of just making the order then. Awful customer service and I have to say having worked for Dominos this kind of thing is so easy to avoid. Smh. read more

Tonight I started at little cesars but when I was told that it would take 45 mins to an hour to get a pizza that's always supposed to be hot n ready I was like forget this. Had to order pizza today and doubledaves came up on the list in Uber eats. We got a large pizza with some veggies. And a cookie pizza. And sorry to say that both things were taste less. I am extremely angry with the service at the DoubleDave's in Hutto. I submitted my order online at 6:03pm for their $1 pizza rolls (24), 2 salads and 2 desserts. The $1 pizza rolls are their Tuesday Daily Special. If you are going to offer something that cheap, it would make sense that you would have these ready to go; or at least that's what I thought. I've been to other pizza places that run specials and have NEVER had to wait as long as I did at DoubleDaves. We drove to Hutto (6 miles from my house) and I was told my order was "almost ready". There were already a couple of people in the store waiting on their orders and the drivers kept coming and going with deliveries, so I know they were busy. During my wait, the store filled up with people. One gentleman came in to order 4 pizza rolls and was told the wait would be "about 30 minutes", so he left. 30 minutes for 4 pizza rolls? Come on! At 6:53, I finally had enough. I asked the girl at the front how much longer my order would be. She said they were "real busy tonight and that the ovens are just really full" due to the special. I told her I'd placed my order online almost an hour ago and it couldn't take an hour to cook pizza rolls. When she went to look, my freaking order was sitting ON TOP OF THE OVENS already boxed! I was PISSED! I raised my voice in the store and asked loudly, "You mean it's been ready this whole freaking time?" The girl said that they had been waiting on the salads. WHAT? Salads are cold, they should have already been ready. You prep them and stick them in the fridge. I'm sorry, but I do not think I will be returning to the Hutto DoubleDaves pizza. They obviously have no sense in running the place. Management, take note from an angry customer who used to work in a busy pizza joint. 1) The person running the register was not consistent. One person when I got there and then she left to go on delivery. Two different people running it during my wait. How are you supposed to keep track of any cash discrepancies when there are multiple people running a till? 2) If your register person was consistent, they would have a sense of how long the customers in the lobby are waiting. Your register person should be able to keep track of orders in the order placed and be able to fill them in a timely manner. But when you change out your register person, that person doesn't know what's going on: what orders are pending, who is waiting, how long the customers have been there. 3) When you offer something as a special, and a cheap one at that, it should be ready to go at all times. You should have trays of these pizza rolls ready to put into the ovens. I watched a girl take them out of a bag from the fridge and place them on a tray and then put the tray into the oven. Why not prep those trays ahead of time? Fill the trays with the pizza rolls, wrap the tray in plastic and freeze it. Then come Tuesday, pull a dozen trays from the freezer to thaw in the fridge. Then, as orders for pizza rolls come in, you just have to toss the tray in the oven. Then you can give your customers an actual time of when their food will be ready; because you should know how long it takes for that tray to push through the oven. And if you have extra rolls that are cooked, they can sit in a box in a warming oven. *They can sit in an box on top of the oven and be fine for at least an hour, mine were. 4) Salads should be made as soon as they are ordered, if they are not already made. Prepared salads are also fine to sit in the fridge for several hours. This shouldn't be something you have your employees wasting time preparing during rush hour - 6:00pm. Salad prepping is busy work for the slow times. 4) As hot food comes out of the ovens, it should be boxed, orders completed and the order called out to the customer waiting. There were probably 15 customers in the little lobby waiting for their orders when I left. That is way too many people to just be sitting there on food that was most likely already ready. read more

I'd give this place zero stars if possible. We called our order in and they said 15-20 minutes. When I arrived, we waited at the gas pumps for one of the spots to free up at the front. Guess what? It was all of their delivery drivers. I let it go. I finally walk in, about 25 minutes after I ordered, and was told by the cashier that it was going to be about 10-15 more minutes. That's when I started to get a little more upset. It was about 30 more minutes in lieu of the original 10-15 she told me. So I spoke to the manager, which I'm not sure how he got that job, to voice my disappointment. He tried to make excuses for everything and it was very evident that he was terrible at managing his employees. Management at Double Dave's in Hutto on Chris Kelley doesn't care about their customers or their employees, apparently. As a delivery charge, they tack-on an additional $3.79, which they recently increased with absolutely NO warning as if the loyal customers wouldn't notice. I live not too far behind this store and only use the delivery service to support the drivers that make less than minimum wage and rely on tips. They charge $3.50 and then add tax... that's already a descent tip on a $20 order. This change would OBVIOUSLY cut into their employees tip, and I cannot understand why the delivery charge would increase, but the drivers pay remains the same.
