It was so bad, I HAD to write a review. I wasn't expecting anything fancy to begin with from holiday inn, but this is a real low point. And If you prefer cleanliness & reliability, I would not recommend this hotel. The staff was polite. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. The king jacuzzi suite was spacious and comfortable. I was excited to have my own jacuzzi, however, there was HAIR IN THE JET. Wifi didn't work. House keeping misplaced my clothing and even though I called it in and it was logged, the follow up was extremely slow. I had to go to the front desk twice and make sure they were searching for my lost clothing. I got my shirt back a mere 30 minutes before I checked out. Although I sympathize with service workers, I really did not enjoy my stay and will probably not be coming back. read more

The Holiday Inn isn't the Holiday Inn of yesteryear. This isn't the same hotel that Chingy made infamous in his song and music video, but an inviting hotel with modern rooms. We met with Ashley, the sales manager and she worked with us to get the right fit for our wedding block. She reserves the right number of rooms for you and your guests ensuring that there are rooms with two beds for the families, and king sized beds for the couples. Not only that but they have a wide array of suites to choose from as well. Ashley ran through all of the rooms for us and allowed us to choose the room that suited us best. She also worked to get us a shuttle to and from our venue and worked with us to ensure that all of our guests made reservations and picked the right rooms for them. She is readily accessible and will work around your schedule to give you a tour of the facilities. My husband and I stayed in the Penthouse Suite. This room is like an apartment. It comes furnished with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and bedroom. For those that wish for a romantic evening in, you can use the in room jaccuzzi, or relax on the comfortable king sized bed. Their rooms come equipped with Directv with a wide array of channels to choose from. This isn't your standard 15 cable channels (5 of which are Asian stations) that most hotels deem passable. All our guests staying at the Holiday Inn kept on commenting to me on how nice the rooms were and that they could not believe that it was a Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn felt homey, and Ashley made the weekend a relaxing place to stay amidst the chaos of our wedding. Normally i wouldnt take the time to yelp a Hotel however..... I booked a room here on Orbitz.com and it was $210/night for a "KING SUITE WITH JACUZZI". ONLINE the room showed a HUUUGEEEEEE room, a Kitchen with refrigerator and stove, a separate living room, King size bed, and Jacuzzi. First of all I called before I booked it Since I'm paranoid like that) to confirm that the room I was going to get, was the one I was looking at in the pictures online, because I didn't want to be disappointed since it was for my birthday, and I was going to have a few friends over before we went bar hopping at Downtown Fullerton. Anyways I Spoke to Karen and she confirmed that YES those pictures were for the room I was getting. So I bit the bullet and spent the $210 since I thought it was worth it for a "Suite" with with a lot of space and all the amenities the pictures showed. I got their at 4:30 to check in when I went to the room and opened the door I walked into a standard sized hotel room, with a couch and a regular sized Jacuzzi to the side of the bed.... no Kitchen or Living room... I didn't even bother to go downstairs and question if there was a Mix-up because I was already running late to my hair appointment and had to leave to finish up things for my birthday that night. Pros: Comfortable bed Conveniently located to restaurants, gas station, liquor store and 3 miles from Downtown Fullerton ($13 for an Uber) Nice Shower Housekeeping was quick with requests for towels, and extra pillows Good parking Other Cons: Check In took forever because their was only one person working No Ice Machines on every floor (Have to go to either 3rd or 5th) Very Small inside Smelled weird when we walked in Some kids kept knocking on ours, and other guests rooms.... and running when we would open the door... Another thing is I left a birthday card their ( WHICH I KNOW FOR A FACT I DID) and when I called later after I checked out so that I could go pick it up they said no one found it..... Like I said I KNOW I left it there. But whatever.... The point is the room was (nice) however, not advertised as in pictures, and DEFINITLEY NOTTTTTTTT WORTH $200 at ALLLLLLLL!!! not even worth $150. You can go to the 'Ana Mesa Hotel' On Harbor and MacArthur and get a Jacuzzi room for I believe $70. I most likely would never stay here again. This is by far the worst hotel experience I have ever in my life had. Absolute horrible customer service. The male front desk employee with a white beard was very rude and when I showed him the reviews on yelp he told me "i don't care about customer service or what the internet says." When I addressed the issue in the morning with the female front desk receptionist, she was also very very rude and even called me a freeloader! I certainly hope there were cameras in the business to actually show the customer I received. Furthermore, I could not even get an extra blanket or towels brought to my room. I was told I had to come downstairs to get it myself!!! What the hell kind of customer service is that!! Then the employee told me he was the only one working.... How is that possible in a hotel that size???? I gave them a 1 star only because there is no zero to give that place. I guess when you hire minimum wage staff you get what you put into it. For those interested in this hotel.... My advice; STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!! I will definitely be writing a strongly worded letter to corporate over this. Normally hotel reviews aren't something I go out of my way to write but I felt I needed to do it this time. The reason I feel that is the excellent customer service from Jose at the front desk. When I checked in on Saturday afternoon I realized I had forgotten my cell phone charger at home.When I asked Jose if they had any people had left he said no but asked what I had. I told him an iPhone and offered up his personal charger for the night. He said he was working Sunday morning and didn't mind sharing it for the night. That is going far above and beyond and I wanted to recognize that. As far as the room it was pretty and it was clean. The room did have a faint smell of cigarette smoke but it wasn't that noticeable and I am overly sensitive to that. The AC worked well although a bit loud. Bed was comfy and I slept well. Breakfast in the morning was also pretty good but I wouldn't pay $11 for it (I got a coupon). read more

Very nice hotel conveniently located off the highway about 20 min for John Wayne and 45min fr LA. Room was nice and cool, clean, and well maintained. Parking is mostly on the deck as there's not much out front. Wish they would give you more yummy smelly bath products other than the very small tube. Guess I could ask for more. Walk across the lot to the little plaza and enjoy BBQ at leadbellys, you won't be disappointed. read more

Terrible customer service! If I could leave no stars I would. Booked a room on booking.com. Went in with my confirmation and was told my CC was cancelled. So I travelled from far and now was told I had no room that I thought was booked because I never received anything from booking stating otherwise. The dark haired rude lady dismissed me saying we r booked and can't help u. So I was a bit frantic returned to my car and again on Booking .com I looked up the same hotel and what do u know it said vacancy! I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again. Very disappointing. Stay: 8/17-8/18 Price: $130 - hotel.com Pros: - the room was spacious - had a nice jacuzzi tub - very quiet even though its pretty much off the freeway - has a Chevron gas station with gas that was cheaper than SF - they have makeup remover toilette for ladies and gentlemen who forgot to pack them - decent sized fridge that didn't come at an extra price - free parking and WiFi - very friendly staff, they greeted me every time I left and came back to the hotel Cons: - the AC is a bit low and far away from the bed so I couldn't feel like very well at night - the ice machine is only located on 2 floors, unlike many other hotels, so if you aren't on those floors, it kind of sucks Verdict: I wouldn't definitely book the Jacuzzi room from this hotel on future visits. I appreciate the small things when staying away from home, like a fan in the bathroom, extra elbow room, smart and plentiful bathroom storage space, quiet, lots of pillows, etc. All that and more is what you get from Holiday Inn - Fullerton. Stayed here for a week for a business trip. All in all it was a very good experience. The room was spacious and clean. The wait staff was friendly and courteous to my questions. They offered free breakfast buffet which was OK, I mean it was free. They also offered two draft beers for free during happy hour. I never made it back from work in time to capitalize on that. The location offers a lot of food options in the immediate area. The parking and Internet was free which is always a plus when it comes to a work trip. Horrendous customer service. Steve, the Customer Service Manager, was rude and condescending upon check in, and didnt explain the charges to me when I gave him my CC. He just told me the rate was $50 more than what he quoted over the phone, instead of explaining that it was a security hold for room service/damage to the room. I didnt get an invoice when he charged my card either. I was so put off by this that I told Dennis, the General Manager, what happened. He didnt seem interested in the issue because he didnt ask who I was or my room number, so if you have an issue with the room you will probably get a similar response. The room was ok, but if you factor in the price, this hotel is a below-average value at best. I got a speeding ticket once and the police officer who pulled me over was nicer to me than the people who work here. read more

We kinda like this place for long weekends. Next to the freeway but you can't hear it. It's also minutes away from some of our favorite restaurants and DLR. I noticed there is a new BBQ place in the next door strip mall (Leadbelly's). This is going to require some investigation. I was checking in to this hotel today. The reservation is under my husband's name. But my I'd and same address was not enough for the front desk clerk. She was rude and condescending said we need to change the reservation to my name or my hubby needed to be there in person. Now mind you we travel for a living. This is not my first check- in with out hubby on premises. This undertrained over worked desk clerk needs to go back to customer service school or get a job in a back room where nobody is bothering her and rules are black and white. Maybe accounting?? Just came back to check in with my name on reservation. Was told by Alyssa that I was being rude when the only thing I asked was for to check me into my room please. If she needed to see rude she needs to watch her tape of how she treat frequent travelers. I will stay here again but hopefully she will be long gone or moved where she has no contact with people. Wow, I can't say I agree with the below review. The place is Ok. My room was clean and very comfortable. I did think it was slightly overpriced but the in-room jacuzzi is cool. I didn't utilize room service so I can't rate that but the 2nd floor pool was cute and clean. I did notice quite a few prostitutes roaming around the hotel and surrounding businesses but you can only blame that on the hotel patrons and not so much on the hotel itself. I have a mixed feeling about this place.. It had a good review on tripadvisor so I picked this hotel over other hotels near Disneyland. I don't regret very often but I wish I had stayed elsewhere. First impression I got when I arrive, this place is tiny.. I mean it practically has no lobby Secondly, the parking is limited and the space is very small. Luckily we drove a small vehicle :/ I checked in on Friday and planned to check out on Sunday so a 2 nights stay Upon arrival a nice front desk clerk a mid 30-40s he was very polite. When we checked into our room on the 3rd floor as soon as we walked in the room smelled strong of smoke. I called the front desk to let them know that I booked a non-smoking room. The old lady who's at the front desk tells me "It is a non-smoking room" so I tell them I would like to switch out. She tells me to come back down so I go back down. No apologies from the staff, I get a "thanks for letting us know" "Someone will get charged for that" Well okay. So they give me a new room 521 We go up and the room smell isn't too pleasant here either. But no smoke so I max on the fan. One thing I DID like was the jacuzzi tub It's huge and I honestly think this is what sells the hotel. Everything else about the hotel is just meh. Oh and the king size bed is actually comfortable. We spent all day Saturday and when I'm about to check out, I noticed I was charged for a beverage of room service. I explain to the short-white-haired lady that I hadn't ordered anything from room service because I was out most of the time and that was mistaken. She continues to try to convince me that the ticket says my room number. We go back and forth about this for a while and now she says it's Sunday so she can't check who processed the order because I guess the room service comes from the restaurant down stairs which was closed. This lady was flat out being rude to me. I got furious at this lady's attitude treating me like I'm someone who won't remember if I ordered something. Very frustrating. Of course after I left the hotel on a UGH note they didn't get back to me so I had to call them to make sure. So they did mistake the room number on the order and charged the wrong person. ME Again no apology for THEIR mistake. I reported her to the guy who answered this time and I think he knew exactly who she was and he said I can talk to the manager there. Very nice hotel, with a bar in the lobby. Room was clean with a Jacuzzi hot tub and movie channels. Having read about bed bugs in previous posts we were worried. We always check over every single hotel bed we stay in and we didn't see anything. BUT upon check-in we mentioned bed bug problems to the front desk guy and he could of cared less. Thought maybe he'd reassure us, but said he had no idea, and that it's possible there were bed bugs. That guy should not be handling your customer service. Also, a black, chunky residue in the bathroom sink upon arrival--weird. CONS: overpriced!! $190 isn't what I expect to pay at a Holiday Inn. Breakfast not included...extra $11 a person. Love this place - Have a hard time giving it 5 stars, but it's pretty dang good. Everything you expect in a hotel room and more. Good things: Free WiFi. massive Jacuzzi with monster jets, which I actually used after working out. It takes like all night to fill up, but damn. TV is good here - lots of channels, and good ones too, half-dozen flavors of HBO if that's your thing, but I always give props for offering the MSNBC, just in case you're not a Glenn Beck fanboy. The room is comfortable, it's recently remodeled, and the bedding is dream-inducing. They also offer a P90X session each Tuesday - I know, crazy, right? You have to show up at 6:30, so I missed it this time. Breakfast is nothing special, but well-prepared. The bad things: The workout facility is primitive and small. But if you have it to yourself and you just do dumbbells or treadmill, you're in luck. The pool is outdoors, which is OK sometimes. Parking in the garage can be a little bit of a hassle, but I got lucky this time and snagged a spot in the surface lot. There's a lot of retail nearby, food and otherwise. Enjoyed my stay so much, I stayed another night! Definitely recommend you try this Holiday Inn. Leigh Anne was a complete doll and helped us with all of our questions. I highly recommend staying here for a romantic getaway. In n out, Pollo loco, Sonics, Denny's and other great places to eat are in the same plaza as the hotel are within no more than a 10 minute walk. Honestly probably less than 10 minutes so getting some delicious grub is easily accessible. If you're looking for a good night out downtown Fullerton is 15 minutes away! read more

This hotel seems like it would be a good fit for business travelers, more so than families that are vacationing to Disneyland. It is a bit on the smaller scale and due to location, I see more business people than familes (which I am glad because I don't have to listen to screaming kids). I stayed here for a few days while my fiance was on business and I was visiting family. We were surprised that the room came with our very own private jacuzzi. They have happy hour at the bar downstairs. We had stiff cocktails and complimentary jalepeno poppers. Can't complain there. I was delighted by how comfortable the king size bed was. They had soft AND firm pillows which worked out perfectly because most of the time, you get stuck with only one option. I prefer the soft and fluffier pillows and my fiance prefers the firm ones to avoid waking up to a stiff neck. The room had a decent size flat screen TV and spacious bathroom. The decor was pretty modern. We were well rested those three nights. The breakfast food was mediocre. Continental style almost. You have the DIY waffle station that I am sure confuses every first timer. You have to grab a cup, pour the batter from the machine, then find the oil spray to spray the waffle maker, then pour the batter in. You wait, rotate it at 360 degrees, wait again, and finally when the light turns green, your waffle is ready. The waffles are the best, so if you are feeling lazy and go for the pancakes, the waffles are much much better. Trust me on this. There are muffins and pastries that are your standard average, some fruits (if you're late, they run out of cantaloupe), and scrambled eggs, bacon, and even sausage. It is a good variety but do not expect a Vegas buffet. This is more basic and not the best quality. It is convenient and much better than Jack-in-the-Box next door. There is ample parking all around the building. If you arrive after 5pm those spaces will be full, but there is a parking structure behind which leads you straight to the elevators, so either way, you never have to walk far. I would come back based on the quality of the rooms and the added bonus of the jacuzzi. I had my beauty rest and it was not noisy at all, so I would recommend staying here. This hotel is right off the 57 freeway and is very convenient to get in or out. Overall, it is a good value since the rooms are affordable for what you get. read more

The place is okay, however the experience I had after checkout was not, I been trying to get my refund for a non authorized charged on my card for a late fee check out. I reserved a room for 2 person. I checked out of the hotel around 11-ish along with my partner. The front desk manager ARIANA checked us out. After a few days I noticed a late fee charge. I called the hotel and ARIANA said that she did remember checking us out but that the system is automated and could not process the refund. Then she suggested i dispute through my bank. Nothing got resolved and according to "Steve" if I can proof that I was not at the hotel with a receipt, it would help my dispute case. Although after a few weeks of chasing a receipt, he then added that after further investigation there were people in the room. I was still going to be held accountable for those imaginary people that his supervisor housekeeper and assistant saw. He also said he had recording of the people in the room. That me being off property still held me accountable after I checked out and returned the 2 keys given to me. I must be a great magician to pull that trick of being in 2 places at the same time. I then asked if I could see the evidence, or go personally to see the recording. At that point he did not want to let me talk and choose to not acknowledge my request and said "have a good day!". read more

I chose this this place only because it was close to my sons job. Customer service was meh. The manager Steve Holmes was being stingy with the blankets. We had asked for 2 extra blankets. I have a daughter who's autistic, and needs her own blankets. He told me he only had 1! I'm like really! He said cause they were all sold out. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BE BACK. Marriott or Embassy Suites are way better than this place. Not accommodating our need for 2 blankets was so amateur! Let's hope we have a good night , if we don't I'll be back on here! read more

We stayed here for three nights. The second night we had a hard time sleeping because the fan kept cycling on and off all night and it had an odd smell. We let the management know and they were great. They gave us a credit for the room and switched us to a different room for the last night. The staff are very cordial and the mattresses and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast buffet and the coffee were wonderful. We were not impressed with the swimming pool however. It was very small and not up to our expectations. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. read more

The girl on the phone was very friendly when I booked my room, had to stay here for a night for work and everything went very smooth. Free wi-fi was a big plus. The price was very fair, and they even gave me a coupon for breakfast. The room was very clean, looked like no one had ever stayed there before! I would definitely use this hotel again, and will be recommending it to family or friends that come from out of town. They also book meeting rooms for banquets and the rates looked very good. Really enjoyed staying here. The room was very clean and comfortable. It's right across the street from Cal State Fullerton and only a 16 minute drive from Disneyland and has very reasonable rates. We took a company car which ended up having mechanical issues. Steve, who was working the late shift, offered to help us out on his own time with getting us where we needed to be.
