This place couldn't have been any worse! They bring one pizza out to our table. After we touch the pizza they run over and take it and say it was for another table. If I was the other table I would not be happy. We waited roughly an hour for some of the most mediocre pizza I have ever had. I have had better microwaveable pizzas! Only thing worse than the pizza was the service!! Update: The owner just called and is one of the nicest people that I have spoken with in a long time. He is making things right and I greatly appreciate his efforts. We will give the place a 2nd chance in the near future. I am changing my star rating just on his kind demeanor. I should have went to 33rd The staff here was RUDE! I asked for a simple sprite got a doctor pepper?? Pocket pizza was greasy and unappetizing! My food at 33rd last week was better! The appearance of the restaurant gave very much "pizza on the beach". I had buffalo wings & a Greek salad and that Greek salad was everything, it was definitely made with love and the presentation was nice as well. My kids enjoyed their wings and pizza as well. Down at Va Beach, there is no shortage of pizza spots. I decided to check out Dough Boys. This corner location is one block over from the boardwalk. The staff were great but the service was very slow. Mixed drinks were decent. I liked that you could order pizza by the slice. The minimum is 2 slices. I ordered a meat lover. The slices took 45 minutes to come out. Would visit again, but I would need to order pizza first. read more

Sat down for 10 minutes and no one came over so went to the bar to order. The bar tender told us to sit back down and our server would come, and she wouldn't serve us from the bar. Had to flag down a server who was pacing by the bar doing nothing, and asked if someone could take our order. He was confused by my question initially, then went into the back, and then came back and walked right past us. No server showed up after another 2 minutes so we just left. Went in as a party of 3 on a not so busy day for lunch. The wait time was fine and the waitress was nice enough. However when our pizza came out, there was a ROACH LEG on it. It was not immediately recognized because we had a lot of meat on our pizza (aka we had already ate a slice each before noticing it). We do not like to cause problems so we didn't make a big deal of it. We obviously couldn't eat anymore at that point so we paid our bill, went back to our hotel, and trashed our leftovers. For this reason, I would never recommend this business to anyone. Side note: of course I left my phone at the hotel to charge for this lunch. So all I have is my word and the fact that we left said roach leg on our signed bill when we left so that the waitress could understand why we very suddenly got very quiet and left. read more

Tryin to support local businesses is important and dough boys was a place i've been trying to visit. if i had came to visit on the weekday the happy hour specials are a good deal. For covid they are abiding by regulations with their staff wearing masks. The place has a outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Including a drinking bowl for your furry friend. The indoor seating is nice and cool. They are clean and the staff here are friendly. But I did notice the roof leaking with buckets on the floor. Near our table but it didn't bother me as long as no one slips and falls. We decided to try the Greek salad and Sausage alavodka and the large family size pepperoni pizza. They do not have a waiter to take your order. They were able to accommodate us seating yet..You have to pay and order at the bar.. perhaps due to limited workers. The bar appeared a little busy. But i wish i could order and pay after just in case there was a food situation or I had to leave for some reason. Anyways, orders arrived.. The greek salad was good and great for 2 peope I wanted to try the sausage ala vodka and see for myself why it's so special. The pizza was gooey and full of chunks of real sausage. I thought there would be vodka sauce but it didn't seem to be based from the flavor. Still I enjoyed the cheesiness. Was I wowed by the flavors.. maybe not. I did wish the pizza came larger. But for my family of 6 two large pizzas and a large greek salad was a perfect portion for us without any leftovers. The pepperoni pizza came out hot and fresh. It was just your average pepperoni pizza but yet my kids demolished every slice. The service here was good. They would refill my water and check on my table ever so often. We ordered the Hawaiian and Pepperoni pizza and they tasted pretty good. They were a little skimpy with the toppings and wished they put more pepperoni and pineapple on the pizzas. We ordered the Jumbo fries as well and they were both crispy and fluffy! Our server Eda was great! read more

Ordered an All American Pie. Pizza was delicious! I was actually kind of surprised. Dough was perfect! Dough was thin, crispy yet very airy! Don't like that you can't order by the slice, but the pie is doable for two people (10 inch round). Drinks by the cup were over $3.00 ($3.29 to be exact). They automatically charged a service fee which I feel is fair, as many people don't tip. Young boy bringing out food was very respectful and sweet. I would definitely return for another pie! This place is pretty cool inside and they have a outdoor bar seating area too. They have clean bathrooms and neat memorabilia around. The bartender is so sweet and has great service . I had ordered two happy hour medium pizzas 5.00 each with a topping for 1.79 extra. The menu is front and back with specials daily . The pizza looked so good ,but the taste is what threw me off completely. It tasted like a frozen pizza . Sadly I was disappointed when I got back to my hotel. It tasted like cardboard and all five of us agreed. It definitely isn't fire oven kind. I wish I had more items to review ,but this is all I ordered today . Didn't appear to be busy but we had a little wait to get seated, because no one was there to seat us. I actually walked out, and then someone came to seat us. Cocktails arrived before my child's soda. Total bill for large pizza, wings, 2 crushes and a soda was $76, before tip. Tip is requested at the beginning of the meal, before you receive any service. Open concept bar for street side makes the dining room hot and stuffy with flies as visitors. Overall decent experience, but wouldn't go back again. read more

Husband called in order for pizza and a meatball sub, about $30 for both, not too bad for being close to the beach. When he walked to the store, right across from our hotel, he said employees were very annoyed and not very eager to help. He brought back the food, no plates were offered. Pizza was ok, typical beach side pizza in our opinion, meatball sub was good, cheesy, and came with pickle and roasted tomatoes on the side. We went back another time during our stay, actually asked for plates this time. Nicely located across from hotel strip. Probably would return on our next trip to VA Beach. read more

I mean, we walked down the strip, saw a bunch of places serving pizza and finally stopped for a slice. This didn't exactly "hit the spot" but at least I wasn't hungry anymore. To be fair, they told us they were still on a limited post-COVID menu. Still, the wife and I split a medium pizza that was just ok. It was hot and fresh, but that seemed to make it so the cheese would slide off the rest of the pizza when you tried to take your first bite. The seared garlic pizza had no garlic and was raw in the middle and the white pizza wasn't even a white pizza.... All I've wanted all day was Dough Boys, it's my absolute favorite pizza place.
