Getting donuts from here is the way to go. They are the perfect size so that you can actually be happy with just having one, or depending on your appetite, have a couple or few to eat different flavors. The flavors of donuts are creative and fun, and the shop itself is small and cute, which fits its donuts appropriately. They are not expensive and we usually leave with many to save for later. The dough is fresh and soft, and the variety is great. read more

I really like this place. I come through Long Beach a lot and always stop here for some delicious coffee and a few donuts. These people obviously take some pride in their work and its not a typical Dunkin' Donut or anything like that, definitely different in a good way. My only complaint is that they always seem to be out of glazed donuts when I'm there but that probably means they are just flying off the shelf. read more

Haven't been in, but tried pistachio and s'more doughnuts. For a gourmet doughnut place, $2-2.50 is totally reasonable. Pistachio was aiight, s'more was wonderful, topped with gooey marshmallow and melty chocolate deliciousness. read more

This place is excellent. Every time I'm visiting someone outside Long Beach, I bring a box of donuts from the Dough Hut, and every time they are a huge hit. I'm very happy that there are authentic places like this one that haven't been eaten by chains and large corporations. read more

Love these donuts!! The place is very very small so I usually take out. The doughnuts are on the small side but they are nice and dense..very filling! I totally enjoyed them! I had many!! Different flavors actually taste different!! I find all the donuts taste the same at dunkin donuts whichever flavor you get...hate that. read more

I went here today. It was excellent. I tried almost everything, but my favs were cinnamon, and chocolate with sprinkles. Owner was very nice. One thing that happened. My bill came to 10.50. I gave the girl a 20. She thought I gave her a 10. She asked if I had the .50. I thought she was asking cause she didn't have ones or quarters. She asked the manager if it was okay that I didn't pay .50. He said yes. Then she didn't give me change. I said ahhh I gave you a twenty. She gave me my change. Honest mistake, but make sure you check what bill you give the clerk, as it could have been bad. I will be back and a must stop if at the beach. read more

Phenomenal doughnuts in very interesting flavors. The maple bacon is awesome. There were thick quality pieces of bacon on the doughnut and the maple wasn't too sweet. The cinnamon doughnut also was excellent. It had strong cinnamon flavor and wasn't sickly sweet. I love this place. read more

It's just ok. Coffee was good, but Gentle Brew is better (I prefer stronger coffee). About the doughnuts... I really wanted to like them as I want to support local business. However, they are too cakey for my taste. If you like fluffy and airy doughnuts, then you might be disappointed with the texture of these. Apart from this, the doughnuts tasted like they were fried in stale oil. It's weird coz they were fresh, but with the flavor of rancid oil, unfortunately. The taste coated my mouth and stayed there for a few hours. I'm giving 4 stars anyway, coz if they were fried in fresh oil, I'm sure the flavor would be better. The texture is still a matter of preference. The service is friendly enough and the price is not exorbitant. read more

I'll be gross here and say that two days TWO DAYS later when I bought a dozen of each flavor they had available on a Friday arvo, two hours before closing--these doughnuts still managed to be addictive and miraculously zero grease that you could taste that wasn't used to cook these lady like pillows of cake dough coffee is equally BOMB. There's nothing bad to say about this place. The west end gained a great shop when they opened up. The staff is friendly, the donuts are delicious and unique. Honestly it's always pretty bad EVERYTIME I go in. The donuts are always incredibly dry and stale, they only have 3 flavors usually and that's if you're lucky. The service is terrible and even judging just the donuts primarily they aren't even good quality. As I said before they are dry, too floury and stale most of the time. No originality to any of the three when I go in there, it's usually just the flavors no one wants. I've never seen them make a new batch even when I go in at anytime. The only flavors I ever see there are maple bacon and a terrible tasting chocolate. Never going there again read more

Their jelly doughnut is life-changing and if you stop in at the right time, you can watch the doughnuts being made right in front of you. O-M-G this place is a foodies dream! Went in 40 minutes before closing and the staff greeted us warmly and the donuts tasted like they just came out of the oven. The jelly donut I had was something I never could have designed better.
