The Bagel shop is in a newer developed space along Route 4 (aka busy Farmington Avenue). The odd thing I couldn't get through my head was how the site was designed. The back of the shops face out to Farmington Ave and the store fronts and parking are in the rear? Usually it's the other way around. Terrible advertising for the businesses. Just the same, I managed to stop, ordered two Everything bagels with White Fish spread and a large dark roast coffee. I was met with "...white what...". I repeated and added, "...its Jewish thing, which is delicious on a bagel. " Sorry we don't have that." Hmmm . Well I'll have a thin smear of creamed cheese, which they had plenty, on my two toasted Everything bagels. I prepped my coffee and in a flash the bagels were packaged and bagged. I was given a "have a nice day". Get in my car, unwrapped the First bagel, ahh an Everything. Later the second was unwrapped back a my home office and a Toasted Sesame Seed jumped out at me. No offense Sesame lovers, I was hugely disappointed my simple order got twisted. And to top off my dissatisfaction NO WHITE FISH SPREAD!

For me, the bagels here aren't my thing. I love a NY bagel, but these are just more like the type you'd get in the midwest (where I once was) or get from a grocery store. That said, they loaded it up with scallion cream cheese and price is right. Overall, it's a change from some of the other bagel places around here and there's definitely a market for it. There was a blonde lady working constantly complaining about her job and other workers in the store. I understand that food service is not an easy job but it was disrupting the restaurant environment. I made me uncomfortable because I think she may have been drunk on the job. she was constantly talking about drinking mentioning to other people I believe were customers or friends. Regardless, I don't think my daughters will be coming inside with me anymore if the workers are going to be intoxicated.

Located in Unionville pretty close to the Farmington River, this adorable coffee shop will provide you the fuel before or after your walk. They offer lunch, breakfast and coffee options. They have a spacious interior as well as a few tables outside. Their large menu of coffee, teas and energy drinks was intriguing. I had to get the Peeps Latte when I saw it listed on their Specials menu. It was ready quickly. This was adorable looking, it had three colorful peeps sitting on top of the marshmallow cold foam. This vanilla based latte, was equally tasty as it was looking. After my pick me up, I picked myself up and went for a walk, the trial is really intended for cyclists, but we made do. You can tell it was freshly baked. We also got a habanero bacon cheddar bagel with spicy cheddar bacon ranch spread. I also got a French toast muffin, which tasted exactly like French toast! I did get the lucky charm March special, however, they ran out of cold brew coffee and it was being brewed overnight. I was able to substitute a regular coffee with an espresso shot. I lived in the Bronx at that time and on the main shopping street near me was a bagel bakery-you walked in and saw the vats where they boiled them and then put them on a conveyor to bake. I started bringing home bagels for her and soon my whole family started asking me to bring some for them - next thing you know, I was bringing 12 - 13 dozen bagels whenever I drove home (I have a big family)! The bagel bakery began giving me a discount for such huge orders. The only kind I refused to bring were garlic - my car (and I) would smell like garlic long after I arrived. As wonderful as those bagels were, Blue House makes the best bagels I've ever had. And the whole Vibe there is so welcoming -always friendly and helpful staff, so many great products, and a lovely area to sit and enjoy my chai and bagel.
