On the first Thursday of every month, I bring treats to my office from a local bakery. This month I found Brown Butter Creations in Glastonbury and ordered a dozen cupcakes and a dozen cookie bars. They've been in business for a while, but their brick and mortar spot in the same Glastonbury plaza home to businesses like Pick & Mix and El Polllo Guapo is new. Service was awesome. Wonderful, wonderful people. Very patient about my Foodie-nerding. I bought four desserts for our family. My primary dessert was a piece of cake approximating the flavors of a Girl Scout Samoa Cookie. Fresh, delicious and not overly sweet. Our other desserts included a chocolate mousse brownie, a slice of cookies and cream cake and a chocolate chip cookie sandwich. I sampled each and they were all great. It is tucked in the corner of a small plaza off of New London Tnpk just South of the post office. Brown Butter Creations was established in 2018, and is run by two sisters, Marika Esteves-Smith and Ashli Esteves-Nelson. Our family absolutely loves Brown Butters Delicious Creations! We have been getting treats from them since they first opened as a cottage Business. We'd see them at farmers markets and we'd also order holiday treat boxes. I still have dreams of the treats I received in my Mother's Day Treat box which also included a beautiful bouquet of flowers from another local cottage business. A small bakery in the Glastonbury area, it's nestled in a strip mall a few blocks away from the town center. I grabbed a few vanilla confetti cupcakes, a pecan bar and a chocolate cheesecake square. WOW is all I can say about the treats we tried today from Brown Butter Creations. We saw them today on Pratt Street at their pop-up with Hartford Prints! What a fun set-up! We got there about an hour in and already a lot of their treats were sold out. Thankfully, there was still plenty for us to try! We split a few cookies including a fluffernutter, brown butter maple, classic chocolate chip, and m&m. SO GOOD. The fluffernutter cookie absolutely blew me away. It had little pieces of what looked like pb captain crunch. Incredible. They had so many other tasty treats I wish we got to try it all!
