When my wife worked in West Hartford, Elmwood was a popular office destination for lunch, because they gave you a free cookie with every sandwich! Their menu is an embarrassment of tempting riches, with pastries, pies, deli and breakfast sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, donuts, full cakes, breads, and rolls of every flavor and description. We stopped in yesterday for a few assorted odds and ends- cookies, donuts, and a wonderful loaf of soft rye bread.
