In a one-word review...AWESOME! 10 out of 10!!…read more I have been SERIOUSLY craving a (really good) Cuban sandwich lately! After doing an exhaustive search of the local Bend fooderies that offer a Cuban sandwich and reading several of the resounding reviews for Manzanita Grill, I decided to try the Manzanita Grill Food Truck (just off Empire). Wow! Truly AWESOME!! What a great Cuban sandwich!!...and I got coleslaw for my side item. Maybe the best coleslaw I have ever eaten and I LOVE coleslaw!! Pricing was very reasonable! Services was very friendly and really fast! Left me very impressed - I will be back soon and often!! 10 out of 10 guys! Thank you!

Manzanita Grill's road flag is the only indication that there's delicious food around the corner. And trust me when I say the food at Manzanita is delicious because it was. Anchored by the Van Henion bar/tap room, Manzanita Grill offers Mexican fusion at reasonable prices. I got a breakfast burrito and my wife got a specialty burrito. We shared a stuff popper appetizer which was a meal on its own. The poppers come with a dipping sauce that was rich and flavorful. The lady helping us was very patient while we were deciding and brought the food to our table. Definitely worth a return trip.

This review is long overdue as I have probably eaten here 20 times now, but I can say that Maki…read moreMaki is consistently delicious and some of the most legit sushi you will find here in Bend. The rice-to-fish ratio is spot on (they don't use a ton of rice on their rolls) so you really taste the flavor of the sushi as opposed to just filling up on rice. My favorite rolls are the Edison and Sunshine rolls, both of which are gluten-free. They have also accommodated a GF salmon poke bowl, which had a delicious sweet sauce and loads of fish. Be sure to check them out at The Lot if you're in the area!

I will not be returning to maki maki…read more While I absolutely love the food at maki maki, in fact, it has been one of my favorite places to eat in all of bend since they opened, after the experience i just had, i wont be back. I had a crazy interaction with the two people running the cart who were both incredibly rude. Specifically the lady that was working at the time. I ordered the wrong menu item and when I admitted my mistake and asked to get the other item I meant to order, the lady scoffed in my face and shut the window on me. I even said "you can be nice about it" wich she then YELLED at me that it was "my fault" as I walked away with my food IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. Very sad how people can be so quick to jump to negativity and anger. Maki employees if your reading this, i think you'll find your lives to be much easier if you choose kindness. Love your food, hate your attitude.

A one star for me is a rare occurrence but, seriously.... Just avoid this place…read more.. To call this a tiki bar is an insult to the entire culture around Tiki. Let's just start out with the atmosphere.... This place is just covered in craft store plants and Amazon decorations. No character nothing special. Now I could've gotten past that if the drinks were OK. I didn't have super high hopes, but I was very excited to find a Tiki Bar in Bend while I was traveling for work. So I started out with just a classic Mai Tai after looking over the menu and being pretty disappointed that it's just the most basic "tiki" drinks in existence. The Mai Tai was flat out awful, and I mean AWFUL. It tasted like water mixed with lime juice. No alcohol taste in anyway, and not even a drip of Orgeat taste. It is so bad that it upset me, and it's completely clear like water. I did decide to stay cause I needed a break from the long week of work, but I just went straight to rum straight. I could've overlooked this, if there was even any slight conversation at the bar with the bartenders, but they had no interest in talking to the people that were there, three of the people at the bar were employees, and the entire time was just them talking together about how much they don't like rum or even the drinks on the menu. Wild. Past that they were talking about how they store their juices, and that they don't date label them in any way or throw them out after a certain amount of days, they just come in and taste them to see if they've gone bad. Get the f*** out of here.... A quick Google search will show you that most citrus juices start to oxidize within the hour, and orange and pineapple are not far behind... Don't even come here and give it a try, just go somewhere else.... This place should not be in business.
