The cheese that fell off as I was biting.

Don't come here expecting a high quality pie. I REALLY wanted to like this place and it has stellar Google reviews but I found it quite lackluster. It's near my house and I was totally excited to have a local pizza place nearby. We aren't pizza connoisseurs but we eat at quite a few good pizza places in the Atlanta area. Ordered a Goodfellas and a Margherita. First off the Margherita had no basil, when it came out my husband asked and they said that they were out. If someone is ordering in the store and you're out of one of the toppings, please say something. Secondly the mozzarella fell completely off when I took a bite. Now fresh mozzarella will melt but this was more plastic feeling. The crust on both pizzas was soggy and the sauce was bland. The best part is the end of the crust, which they finish with butter and parm. That part of the crust is nice and crispy. We only live 7 minutes away so I don't think it's the amount of time between receiving and eating. We had one bite of each and had to throw it away. It was THAT bad. $35 in the garbage. Maybe it was an off day. The staff was nice so at least there's that!

Can't remember the name, but the dough is the best I've had!

This is Ryan Cameron's pizzeria located in South DeKalb mall in the food court. It is fairly new and right past Piccadilly. The pizza came out quick, and you use the kiosk to place your order and pay. I like that you can watch your pizza being made and cooked. A bit expensive for the size, but there are many pizza options, including create your own. There's only one sized pizza option available, each being around $15, and your pizza is ready in about 15 minutes. I ordered the specialty with pepperoni, sausage. mushrooms. onions...the dough is the best I tasted. But I took a star off because the toppings were skimpy.

I had a chance to finally try this new pizza location. The service was great. The ease to order the food on the kiosk was easy and the food was quickly ready thereafter. Now, to get to the taste. The pizza was fresh and had unique tomato flavor for the pizza sauce. I selected the Goodfellas pizza which is pretty much a meat lovers pizza. The crust was not too thin or thick and very fulfilling. Although, not my favorite local pizza, I will be returning for other options to try.

Props to Mr. Cameron for bring his establishment to the hood. South Dekalb Mall is not what I remember it to be from my younger years. Nonetheless, the pizza was subpar at best. Not only is it expensive but the pizza was tiny! The one young lady there was kind. It was mostly self-service. You order your pizza in a kiosk and called when it's ready. I know this is a tech era but I need to interact with people! There is nothing special about dining there. In fact you'll likely grab it to go. There is no vibe. In fact when we entered there was a loud altercation at the salon. Again, I commend the brother for what he is trying to do however long way to go. I won't be back any time soon.

Went back a second time hoping to have a better experience. NOT. Paying way too much for pizza with such "scanty" toppings and NO taste. I truly believe they count out each topping. When he brought my pizza up he opened the box to show it to me. I laughed and said are you kidding? This doesn't look like the photo and it didn't look like it had been in the oven long enough. When I asked to see the bottom crust two pieces were flipped onto the counter so he had to make another one. It was scanty as well. I've tried twice to support because I love pizza. Sorry Ryan I'm done with this spot. Best of luck.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will be returning! The cashier was friendly and engaging. The pizza was fresh and tasty. I had the vegan ( Master Counterfeiter) and the Godfather of Harlem. I really enjoyed both. What impressed me even further was the level of integrity of the staff. I accidentally left my card at the register and received a phone call from Ryan Cameron himself to let me know I left it. I was so grateful that it was in safe keeping until I came back to retrieve it. I will definitely be back to support!

My expectations weren't high, I just wanted tasty pizza. This failed flat. As you can see the crust was burnt and tasted awful. The meat and sauce lacked flavor. For $32 for these small pizzas, we could've gone to Little Caesar's. I won't be going back. The two stars is for the customer service.

Really good quality pizza and fast!

Will try it under the new name Crushers?... this week and see. Them being on the corner, the original name worked, I don't like change lol. Anyway, Corner Slice was a good place to pick up a deep dish pizza. Better than Jets, and Nancy's pizzeria in my opinion primarily because their selection is unique. The texture, and flavor, just an overall nice pizza for someone like me never in the mood for pizza. I had pizza burn out for years just because it's the cheapest way to feed a lot of people and I got tired of it. Corner slice fixed that. The Riker is my go too. I feel like depending who I is making it, they either skimp on toppings or at times it's loaded. Inside is not comfortable for me, it feels kind of grimy and not clean. I pray over the pizza and take it to go. The pizzas are not cheap like chain pizza places. Just know it's going to cost you. But it's good. I think they have games in the back which I didn't expect. The guys that are usually taking the orders via phone and in person are nice.

Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
