I'm sooooo happy Glide decided to open up in Decatur! I've been to their original location and really enjoy their pizza. This location has a full bar and new items have been added since my last visit. Very limited parking is available around back, but there are plenty of paid lots nearby. The space is bright and cheerful. I sat at the bar. I decided on the hot honey burrata pizza, lemon pepper wings and a frozen margarita. The lemon pepper wings were bomb! I asked that they be fried crispy and they came as requested and were seasoned well. The pizza was delicious as well. I truly enjoyed the contrast of the creamy burrata with honey. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and left deciding this spot will definitely be in our rotation. Pizza by the slice (we all ordered pepperoni) for $4.50 each. I was hoping to order the fried mozzarella and chicken wings but unfortunately were told they sold out. The staff said they were going to work on their ordering since they were out since Friday. The inside has a throwback aesthetic that's simple while also including a wrap around bar with a few TVs. The back is a work in progress but will have arcade games. I absolutely love glide pizza. I frequent both locations. They make the best ranch dressing in the city and they bottle it and you can buy it and take it home. The pizza crust the sauce the toppings everything is so good. It just delivers an amazing slice of pizza. Rumor on the street (i.e., TikTok) is Glide has the best pizza in ATL, so I had to give it a try. I stopped by with my brother and his fiancée on a Friday night and we were immediately enchanted. The decor is just perfect, and for being a Friday night it wasn't awfully crowded. When we put in our order (which took a hot second--the line moves pretty slow) we went to wait for the pizza to come up. Over the next 30 minutes we chatted about the upcoming wedding, updated each other on our jobs, dug up some old college gossip, and beat a few more dead horses--all before our pizza arrived. After that, our conversation centered on "wow, it's been over 30 minutes since we ordered our food" and "I'm so hungry... this better be worth it." Well, they eventually gave us our food (yay) and folks, it was indeed worth it. TikTok did not lie. For next time, though, the kitchen should really work on speeding up order times a tad. P.S. They also close at 9:00 on Friday/Saturday, which is a bit of a drag in my opinion. In town visiting family, this place is literally within walking distance of their home - it's a pretty new location as they have others elsewhere. I've been going to Glide for at least a year, since before they moved locations in Decatur. The original location in the shopping strip with the brewery had stellar pizza, truly delicious and consistently sized/cooked/topped. When Glide moved to their new Decatur location and were doing take-out only orders, the pizza I got was weird, overcooked, and had wonkily-handled dough. I thought this was just due to new staff in the kitchen... but their product has been inconsistent since then. I've been at least 10 times since , dining in and ordering to go, and each time has had progressively less quality and finesse than their old pizza. The flavor is relatively the same, but the crust has gotten thinner and more burnt. The company keeps opening locations and hiring new staff and their product is suffering immensely. This pizza no longer justifies its $30 price tag, which I was very happy to pay a year ago. I used to hail this as my favorite pizza spot, but now it doesn't even deserve its 7.7 rating (7.8 if you believe Birdsong's slick suggestion). I'm honestly just sad about it haha. read more

I ordered 1 piece of pepperoni pizza, they told me it would be around 30 minutes and at this point I was committed so I waited. It took over an hour, for 1 piece of pizza. While I was waiting on the inside it was cute, and loud, but that's not their fault. Once I finally got my piece of pizza, it was really bad. The bottom of the pizza was burnt and there was not a ratio of anything else. It made me feel like home. As a man from the East Coast who has lived in Atlanta on and off for over 27 years, I will say this, Glide pizza made me truly feel line being back home, in the 3rd grade up North. They pass several tests when it comes to pizza, the sauce, the stability/bend-ability(consistency) and the overall flavor are all top notch. It's been very hard to replicate the vibe of being in South Philly or Brooklyn on a Friday night, just chilling at the local pizza spot endeavoring a slice and vibing but they have it. The patio and the people enjoying their pies were very lively and astute. Very neighborhood feel, which I appreciate. I'm very happy that we now have this in the ATL. Decent pizza in Decatur if you're looking for something simple. Unfortunately parking is pretty rough, but we got lucky and got a spot right at the front. Glide and Inner Voice are connected so it's perfect if you want to get a pizza and a drink. There is a line for both for you to stand in and order, and the whole pizzas we got took around 20-30 min to make (the people who got slices got their pizza in about 10-15). We shared a garlic cheese and a pepp city for 4 of us, but their pies are MASSIVE so one pizza would have been plenty! Out of the two I really liked the pepp city! I'm a big fan of sweet and spicy so I liked the meat combined with the peppers and some spicy honey on top. I thought the garlic cheese was alright, but it felt like garlic overkill. I finally tried out Glide a few weeks ago and I definitely get the hype. The pizza has a really nice crust and it is New York style while not being too thin. We went on a Friday night to get a few slices; I would suggest going at a less busy time for slices, and it was very busy. I wanted a cheese slice but they didn't have any so I got a garlic slice instead along with a pepperoni slice and a homegrown slice. They definitely prioritize whole pizzas so if you want to guarantee any flavors just get a whole pie. The slices are pretty huge so you might just end up with leftovers. They don't have a ton of flavors but what they do offer are probably the most liked basic flavors so you'll probably like something they offer. The garlic slice was pretty good, I wished it had a little bit more garlic flavor though. The cheese was cooked nicely where it wasn't too stringy. Everyone else liked their slices too and I thought the pepperoni slice was good, the sauce had a nice flavor to it. The slice might be cold when you get so if you get it to go be prepared to warm it up. I'll definitely go back at a less busy time to try a cheese slice or to just get a whole pie. read more

Hands down the best New York style pizza you're going to find in Georgia. I am from up north and this is spot on! The pepp spicy pizza has fresh jalapeños, pepperoni, parsley, Calabrian chillies, and mozzarella. Ask for the hot honey packet on the side and together it creates such amazing flavor. The garlic cheese was my absolute favorite! Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, Garlic, and parsley. Simple and super satisfying if you don't want red sauce. I love pizza crust and the dough is just so crispy, and soft enough to enjoy. We sat at the Inner voice Brewery and I had the pizzabeer and berry Jaime. Both were great! The people at innervoice were very friendly. My only complaint with Glide Pizza was that I purchased a garlic cheese slice to go and they gave it to me in a paper bag with two paper pates on both ends of the pizza. The grease started to leak through the bag causing a mess in my car. I would expect a small pizza box to be available for to go slices but I won't let that ruin the experience.
