That didn't stop them from finding us a seat and delivering incredibly speedy service. She didn't directly answer our questions about the menu so we had to repeat them a few times. 4/5: the arancini was lukewarm in the center while the Italian "Mac n cheese" was fried perfectly. The smoked salmon pasta was good with two exceptions: the onions weren't caramelized like the menu said AND they really should include a veggie like asparagus in it. The Diavola pizza was good but barely had any cheese. The cannolis again were good but the filling had the wrong consistency. They tasted prefilled even though our waitress said they're not. This is the place for quality Italian food in Decatur! We went as a date night and were sat down right before the dinner rush though I recommend having a reservation before you go! Parking is very limited in their lot, if not you're going to have to pay for downtown parking. I visited Italy in August of 2025 and my tour guide told me about her cousins who live in America and own an Italian restaurant in Georgia, Sapori di Napoli. I knew I had an upcoming work trip to Atlanta and made a plan to visit the restaurant. The dishes were absolutely amazing. One of many things I'm missing about Italy is all the wonderful food and Sapori di Napoli took me back immediately. It was just as good and even better than the pasta and pizzas I enjoyed on my trip to Italy. A true Italian tasting experience right in the heart of Georgia! I'm sure everything on the menu is wonderful, but we specifically enjoyed the Pappardelle Boscaiola, Tagliatelle al Salmone, a Margherita Pizza, Insalata Mista Sapori, Focaccia, Cannoli, and Lemon torte. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a patio for outside dining. There is also free parking. Sapori di Napoli is a truly fabulous dining treat that shouldn't be missed! Came here for dinner on a rainy night and sat out on the covered patio. They have windows they can shut so we stayed perfectly dry. Had a fantastic gluten free pizza (not pictured) with prosciutto, tomatoes, and arugula. It was very crispy and I LOVED the prosciutto. The table had two other regular pizzas which everyone else loved. Knocked off a star because we never got our drinks that were ordered. They took it off the bill when we reminded the server we never ended up getting them, but it was just a little disappointing. Came here on a Friday night to see the place more than half-way full. There are both indoors and outdoor seats (with space heaters) available to pick from. I shared an Insalata Mista Sapori, Tagliatelle alla Sorrentina, and Filetto pizza. The salad was well dressed and topped with the fun grape, goat cheese, and nut. For the pasta, though, I found it to be overly salted but still tasty. The filetto pizza was essentially a margarita pizza but with cherry tomatoes on a thin crust which was pretty authentic for what I've tried. Overall, I had a good experience with the food quality and the service being attentive. I wouldn't mind coming again if I was in the area but I would like to try a different dishes instead but still the salad. read more

Today I had really good Neopolitan pizza for the first time in Georgia so far. If you've seen my many pics of pizza, more than half are Margherita pies so I've done my research. I was also served very well by Paymon who loves what he does. He's so passionate about Italian food and all things Italy and expresses that so well. I also had the pleasure of meeting another server named Gina who's from Aruba, sociable, sweet and hardworking. I would say if you visit this place ask to sit in their section because they make a great team. Back to the food, this is authentic coal oven pizza from the oven used, to the San Marzano tomato sauce, to the bufalo mozz and the double zero perfectly salted dough. Sapori di Napoli is a warm, welcoming neighborhood pizza joint with really good pizza, and really friendly but spotty service. I came with a large group and we probably could've been somewhat promptly seated but the person who had taken our name initially for the waiting list apparently completely forgot about us until half an hour later when they saw us sitting outside and we reminded them we were waiting and they then realized we'd been waiting. It also took a pretty long time to get menus and to get waters and place our order. After that, though, it was smooth sailing. Pizzas came out hot and fast, as did our beers. The carnosa and margherita were my favorites. We also had the tagliatelle bolognese which was excellent. Between the six of us we had four pizzas and one pasta, and we were stuffed and had just a few pieces left over. For all that food it was pretty affordable, and we had an excellent time. I would definitely visit again, just be prepared to remind folks that you're waiting on a table, as they seem a bit understaffed. read more

Ordered a pizza here for take out on a Saturday evening and it was delicious as always! The restaurant offers free parking, but the lot is always very crowded and can be tough to find a place. Luckily if you order take out someone will come and bring your food to your car, but as I was arriving someone else was leaving. This was a good thing as my order was not quite yet ready at the time predicted. So I ended up waiting ~10 min longer which was no big deal. The workers there are quite attentive, and made sure I was being helped. In the restaurant seating, it was quite empty, especially as it was a very nice day so more people opted for patio seating, which is very nice and shaded. My pizza itself was great. The lasagna was meh. Very soft in texture, sauce lacked depth, meat was filling was scare and unfilling - wasn't impressed. The limoncello - fantastic. My niece brought me here for dinner on a Tuesday night. It's not super fancy, but the food is simple and delicious! The service was a bit lacking. Our server definitely was nowhere to be seen after we put our order in. We realized we hadn't ordered drinks and eventually flagged down another server to order drinks. Sapori di Napoli holds a very special place in my heart. It's the restaurant my boyfriend and I had our very first date at 6 years ago this upcoming May. I made a reservation last week to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and we were seated immediately after checking in at the host stand. There was a line ahead of us to speak to the host, so we were glad we had a reservation! They had a reserved sign on our table and everything! Upon being seated, we were soon met by our waitress. She was kind and attentive. We enjoyed glasses of Montepulciano, complimentary bread, the Insalata Regina, and the same pizza we ordered on our first date: the Popeye. A solid spot for pizza there's no doubt about it. The quality is there, the authenticity is there, the place is really chill. Sometimes it's the people that make the restaurant better and that's the case here. I really feel bad I forgot my waitresses name but she's a very nice lady from Columbia. Right I bet that helps lol, but she was cool as we talked about life and future goals. She kept referring me all her favorites on the menu and indefinitely had to order them. Sometimes you just have to go what they recommend on the menu and I'm happy I did. I'm really glad I stopped by. Lol I originally had driven out here looking for another restaurant only to realize I had it before and I just wanted something different and where there wasn't already a location in my state, so I just went walking around trying to find a good place to go and saw the sign and went in. They were not overly friendly, but that's OK. We sat inside, but wanted outside. Was a 10 min wait for someone to clean an empty table... no thanks! The menu looks great, so we ordered the Arancini (rice balls); 4 for $8 with tomato sauce... FABULOUS!! I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana with salad $16 & AMAZING!!! So soft, full of flavor & was probably the prettiest version I have ever seen. Not over breaded, had texture & oh, just perfect. I was so full, but ate the WHOLE thing. I have a pic of it!! And this dish had homemade bread- really great. I wish they had a drizzle of olive oil. We got cannolies to go; 2 for $8. I haven't eaten them, but will have a bite with my children later (if they don't eat without me)! A total comeback!!!! I left satisfied from my fun company & great meal. Really loved takeout from here, so much so that we want to visit in person! We placed a delivery order through Grubhub so of course the pizza was not piping hot when it arrived but the fact that it still tasted so good lukewarm told us that this place was the real deal. We had the spicy olive mix, salsiccia e funghi pizza + prosciutto, and an eggplant parmigiana. The total for food came out to $50 so this certainly wasn't a cheap dinner, but it was worth it. Plentiful and fresh ingredients, plus an unexpected small side salad and bread. Although the pizza wasn't huge, we still had leftovers. I don't even really like eggplant that much and yet the eggplant parmigiana was delicious even upon leftover reheating! Definitely our new neighborhood favorite for Neapolitan style pizza. read more

I ordered takeout Bolognese and Insalata Italiana. I was in downtown Decatur and wanted Italian but wasn't near Arditi's so pizza was out of the question. I decided to go with pasta which I thought would be great. The bolognese was like eating water. Very bland. I definitely would not order it again. Purely food based review: Half & Half appetizer - Came with Italian style fried rice balls, which were ok, and fried Mac & cheese, which were pretty good with the tomato sauce. White pasta - Really good, one of my favorites. Pasta is cooked perfection and white sauce literally goes with anything. Salmon Pasta - Another decent option. Have to admit there isn't much meat in it but taste is good. The Pizzas - We had three different pizzas and overall they were all good. If you like Italian style pizza you'll like this place. Sweet from the grapes, salty from Kalamata olives, crunch from nuts, sharp from goat cheese, buttery from the avocados and fresh from the greens. The pizza I was not impressed with. DECENT PIZZA IN DECATUR i've seen sapori di napoli for a while now and finally tried it out. the place is pretty nice with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors (patio and on the sidewalk). there is free parking to the side of the restaurant which is nice. to start, i got the caprese salad. I've had a fair share of caprese salads and this one was subpar - very bland. the mozzarella and tomatoes weren't flavorless and the sauces (oil and vinegar) came on the side. it definitely needed a little salt and pepper to pick it up. the Margherita pizza was better than the caprese. it was decent, but again, nothing amazing. i liked the sauce and the crust was pretty good, but i felt like it was lacking something. if you're looking for a decent Italian spot with a variety of options, then try it out. i wasn't wowed by the food, but it was still alright for what's in the area. read more

We sat on the outside patio and the ambience was nice but after getting a drink and placing our orders we were forgotten about. We noticed roughly 40 minutes had passed and other tables had been sat and received their meals before we received our salad. after inquiring it took about 20 more minutes which lead us to believe our order was missed. This place has amazing Italian food that's super authentic. The only con is the noise level and the super wobbly table. Prices are a tad higher, but this is downtown Decatur. The hubs and I shared the lasagna special along with the bianchina pizza. I really wanted the tiramisu so that was dessert. The lasagna was really good. The pasta seemed really fresh and somewhat melted in your mouth. Lasagna dishes usually aren't my thing since some places throw in too much meat. This one though, had the perfect ratio of meat and cheese that would just slide off your fork. This special was $17. The white pizza had buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino romano, and parmigiano cheese. This is def the closet to the real Italian deal. The hubs' coworker who also went to Italy agreed that this is pretty similar to how it was in Italy. The cheeses were really good on the thin pizza bed; it wasn't oily either. The crust was airy and crispy. For the 15" size, this was enough for two adults for a total of $20. The tiramisu here was different than other places. From past experiences, flavor intensities varied between restaurants. We didn't know that tiramisu originated from Italy so this may be the more authentic taste. The coffee flavor wasn't as intense while the sweetness level was much more prominent. For $7, it was pretty good. Overall, this spot was great with the pizza being really authentic to how we remembered it from Italy. Everything we had was delicious. The customer service was great as well. I've been wanting to try Sapori di Napoli for a while, and decided to finally try it tonight. But first, a little background. I had major surgery on my leg an foot about a month ago. I have to wear an exterior leg brace and use a walker for a couple of months. When we arrived, there were a number of tables, inside and outside. We were told to wait a couple of minutes. The owner (I presume) showed up shortly thereafter and took a look at me and told us there were no tables available. We asked how long the wait would be - keep in mind there were open tables. It's quite clear this establishment discriminates against disabled. I'm thinking of filing a formal complaint. read more

My daughter and her boyfriend brought me here for a late lunch on a recent Sunday afternoon. We started with the Italian olives and the fried mac & cheese, which are a good place to start. I ordered the Rucola pizza - bufala mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, topped with prosciutto, arugula, and pecorino romano cheese, and baked in a wood burning oven. It was stellar.
