This is the place for quality Italian food in Decatur! We went as a date night and were sat down right before the dinner rush though I recommend having a reservation before you go! Parking is very limited in their lot, if not you're going to have to pay for downtown parking. The waiter was fantastic and he answered all of our questions as well as support staff being attentive and conversational. The food. Oh man, straight to heaven with every bite. Try their appetizers, all of them if you can. The pizza? One of the best in the area!

La pizza è fantastico! From the friendly waiting staff to the Italian ambience, Sapori di Napoli is truly a Decatur treasure. If you're looking for the best Neapolitan pizza in Atlanta, look no further than this gem. Absolutely love eating here!

Good food good vibes good service!! The waiter was such a fun time and the restaurant was giving local family owned. Only took a star off because the food could use some more spice/flavor. The pizza was great, so thin and delicious! The pasta was good as well and you can tell it's homemade!! I was disappointed with the fried mac and cheese tho it was lowkey giving Kraft brand. Tiramisu was my favorite thing overall, it tasted homemade and absolutely delicious! Food 4/5 - only taking a point off for the Mac and cheese, spices just weren't there Service 5/5 - got seated pretty quickly for a Friday night and the waiter was so kind and checked on us frequently!! Vibes 5/5

My family and I had a great dining experience at Sapori di Napoli. We sat outside in the enclosed patio area. They have heating which made this a great experience in December. The servers were very friendly and welcomed our toddler. The food was fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed our meals. We didn't have any space for the desserts but they sure were tempting.

Shop was old school in setup and the pizza was good. A little expensive, but very good Neapolitan pizza. Our server took great care of us and made sure our drinks were topped off. Would definitely go back.

I visited Italy in August of 2025 and my tour guide told me about her cousins who live in America and own an Italian restaurant in Georgia, Sapori di Napoli. I knew I had an upcoming work trip to Atlanta and made a plan to visit the restaurant. The dishes were absolutely amazing. One of many things I'm missing about Italy is all the wonderful food and Sapori di Napoli took me back immediately. It was just as good and even better than the pasta and pizzas I enjoyed on my trip to Italy. A true Italian tasting experience right in the heart of Georgia! I'm sure everything on the menu is wonderful, but we specifically enjoyed the Pappardelle Boscaiola, Tagliatelle al Salmone, a Margherita Pizza, Insalata Mista Sapori, Focaccia, Cannoli, and Lemon torte. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a patio for outside dining. There is also free parking. Sapori di Napoli is a truly fabulous dining treat that shouldn't be missed! It was worth the trip and I can't wait to go back!

Came here for dinner on a rainy night and sat out on the covered patio. They have windows they can shut so we stayed perfectly dry. Had a fantastic gluten free pizza (not pictured) with prosciutto, tomatoes, and arugula. It was very crispy and I LOVED the prosciutto. The table had two other regular pizzas which everyone else loved. Knocked off a star because we never got our drinks that were ordered. They took it off the bill when we reminded the server we never ended up getting them, but it was just a little disappointing. Otherwise, service was good and we will definitely return when in the mood for pizza!

Came here on a Friday night to see the place more than half-way full. There are both indoors and outdoor seats (with space heaters) available to pick from. I shared an Insalata Mista Sapori, Tagliatelle alla Sorrentina, and Filetto pizza. The salad was well dressed and topped with the fun grape, goat cheese, and nut. For the pasta, though, I found it to be overly salted but still tasty. The filetto pizza was essentially a margarita pizza but with cherry tomatoes on a thin crust which was pretty authentic for what I've tried. Overall, I had a good experience with the food quality and the service being attentive. I wouldn't mind coming again if I was in the area but I would like to try a different dishes instead but still the salad.

Today I had really good Neopolitan pizza for the first time in Georgia so far. If you've seen my many pics of pizza, more than half are Margherita pies so I've done my research. I was also served very well by Paymon who loves what he does. He's so passionate about Italian food and all things Italy and expresses that so well. I also had the pleasure of meeting another server named Gina who's from Aruba, sociable, sweet and hardworking. I would say if you visit this place ask to sit in their section because they make a great team. Back to the food, this is authentic coal oven pizza from the oven used, to the San Marzano tomato sauce, to the bufalo mozz and the double zero perfectly salted dough. I definitely want to try something else the next time I go back and I will definitely be back. P.S. There's a covered patio for dining and they offer free parking.

Ordered a pizza here for take out on a Saturday evening and it was delicious as always! The restaurant offers free parking, but the lot is always very crowded and can be tough to find a place. Luckily if you order take out someone will come and bring your food to your car, but as I was arriving someone else was leaving. This was a good thing as my order was not quite yet ready at the time predicted. So I ended up waiting ~10 min longer which was no big deal. The workers there are quite attentive, and made sure I was being helped. In the restaurant seating, it was quite empty, especially as it was a very nice day so more people opted for patio seating, which is very nice and shaded. My pizza itself was great. The cuts of meat are all very flavorful, the crust was cooked well, and the fresh basil on top makes it taste great. Highly recommend for a more high end pizza!

My niece brought me here for dinner on a Tuesday night. It's not super fancy, but the food is simple and delicious! The service was a bit lacking. Our server definitely was nowhere to be seen after we put our order in. We realized we hadn't ordered drinks and eventually flagged down another server to order drinks. We had our wine in odd glasses, but as I said it's not fancy. This is the kind of place you could bring a group of people and everyone would find something delicious to eat and would hang out and have a great time.

Sapori di Napoli holds a very special place in my heart. It's the restaurant my boyfriend and I had our very first date at 6 years ago this upcoming May. I made a reservation last week to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and we were seated immediately after checking in at the host stand. There was a line ahead of us to speak to the host, so we were glad we had a reservation! They had a reserved sign on our table and everything! Upon being seated, we were soon met by our waitress. She was kind and attentive. We enjoyed glasses of Montepulciano, complimentary bread, the Insalata Regina, and the same pizza we ordered on our first date: the Popeye. It was just as good as we remembered! We loved everything, from the cozy ambiance to the welcoming staff to the delicious food! Thank you for serving us--we'll be back!

The ambiance is cute. The bread service is some of the best I've ever had. And the cocktails are fire. Had the lemon chicken at the advice of our waitress and it was incredible. The pasta was great. Cesar salad solid. Wine list strong. Can't say enough.

I was wondering why so many people had either recently left poor reviews or had downgraded their…read moreprevious reviews, and after my most recent visit I unfortunately understand why. Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....

Since it was a nice day outside, we decided to dine al fresco. Once we were seated, we encountered another wait, but this time it was because they hadn't assigned a server to our table. We had to get someone's attention because we noticed other people seated after us were being waited on. We ended up with Sienna as our server. She started us off with complimentary bread. We decided to order our cocktails, appetizers, and entrees since we had been waiting. I had the sangria, and my husband had the limoncello. We enjoyed both cocktails. For appetizers, we had calamari and cheese sticks, and the cheese sticks were definitely our favorite--they had a unique twist. For entrees, we ordered the lamb ragu and the chef's special, which was seafood ravioli. To end the night, we had the brownie sundae with salted caramel gelato. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. Although the service was a bit slow at first, Sienna was attentive. We look forward to visiting Paolino again in the future.
