    Bar Pie
    AC R.

Didn't expect to Love it but Wow! So let me just say upfront. I hate Detroit-style pizza. Deep dish has never been my thing. I'm a New York slice guy all day. But the bar pie here? Closest thing to NY-style they had so I gave it a shot. The cheese was perfect, the sausage was top-quality, and the sauce just the right amount, a little lighter than usual, which could have been a touch better but I could've easily eaten two of them. Honestly, I came in expecting not to like it, and it ended up being a solid 4-4.5 stars. I eat a lot of pizza, and this place is a must-stop. I have a bad stomach and the grease was a little much even on the thinner crust but overall a solid spot.

The food here has absolutely delicious. As someone who isn't the biggest fan of pizza, I was happy to see that they had a variety of options on their menu. I opted for the chicken parm sandwich but the pizza that the others in my party got looked very good. I had to bump down the number of stars because of the wait time and the fries were extremely greasy, I felt like I could've wrung them out. Once I got my food, I was pleasantly surprised with the taste. The environment of the restaurant is a casual eatery but the food here is a little more elevated than that, with their unique flavors.

The food is fresh and on point as is the service and ambiance. Love the real ingredients that lesser pizza spots around offer; especially the chucks of fennel infused sausage.

Regular Detroit Style with pepperoni and ricotta

Great little spot for some hearty Detroit style pizza! We opted for pepperoni and ricotta with Calabrian chilis on the side! The pizza came out with the crispy cheese on the edges and fluffy crust! So good! This style isn't my go to, but it hit the spot on a cold winter night. Service was nice and we ate there and had leftovers to take home.

Tried this spot for the first time & was not disappointed! The pizza is very delicious with crispy edges that are packed with flavor from dripping sauces. Good portions for the prices too! I definitely want to go back & try some other pies!

Corner slice was a little out of the way but I was inclined to try and I was so glad I did. I like things that are close to Detroit style pizza, for obvious reasons, and they did a pretty good job at the deep dish square. On the inside there's a TV and there's a small bar area and they have about 10 to 15 seat slots for people to say. So it's not a really big shot. Outside they have some seating outside along the restaurant itself but it's not like you can take 20 of your friends to come here because you will not fit. They had free parking but it is limited so you may have to park at the side of the building instead of in front (because it's in a small strip mall plaza). I ordered a pizza for takeout but I ended up eating it there so I sat down and it was comfortable. They had Star wars on the TV while I was eating. The people there were pretty nice and they get good customer service. Even though I didn't really need a lot. I would at the pepperoni and bacon on my pizza, it came out hot and fresh. Had the crispy edges like I like, toppings were very good, and a sauce was very flavorful. It was a very filling pizza and it tasted good. I would 100% go back.

I didn't grasp this in advance, but this shop had a nice little space to eat it; it was not pure takeout. Most people, including me, were doing takeout, and there was a park area by the nearby railroad which was fine on a nice evening. This place is primarily offering Detroit-style pizza, a trendy creation, but this was up there with the better ones I've had. The extra crispy crust and the cheese around the rim delivered satisfaction, while the option for half toppings allowed me to get a good mix of peppers, spinach, and mushrooms. Crushed red pepper and parmesan packets were free, standby options from a bygone age but not ones you see as often now. The option for vegan cheese was available, which I suspect is not the main reason people come here but good for them for offering. I didn't find my pizza too salty, but it certainly was indulgent.

We've passed by this place several times and finally decided to give them a try. We did a pickup order for a movie night at home. My husband was out and picked it up for us. The place is pretty small, so there's really nowhere to check your order inside. And the order was basic, so he figured it was fine. By the time he got back, we were both ready to just sit down and eat because we'd had a long day. As you can see in the picture of our receipt, I'd ordered 10 lemon pepper wings but what I received were definitely Buffalo wings. Also, I didn't think to take a picture before, but I only received 9 wings. Again, I was pretty hungry and, thankfully, I like Buffalo wings so I just went ahead and ate them. Plus, neither one of us felt like going back out that night. The wings were just okay, considering they weren't what I ordered and the skin could have been darker/crispier. My husband said the pizza was just okay in his opinion. He liked the bits of crispy cheese, but he didn't love the sauce or the crust. He just may not be a Detroit-style pizza guy though. The main reason for the three stars is the issue with the wings.

This was my first time trying Detroit style pizza. I love a good pan pizza, and the Rika was a good selection. I have never had hot honey on pizza and it sounded like a wonderful experiment. I am also into spicy, so the jalapeños were a tasty addition. The staff was friendly, ordered at the register, then watched my pizza cooked to order. My son and I also ordered a Mariner pizza which we had plenty of leftovers and which heats up nice at home. The wings were also tasty. There is an additional dining area in the back and a small game room with arcade games. This is definitely a family friendly environment! I would come here for a new pizza experience!

Finally had a chance to try corner slide. They are well known for their Detroit style pizza. I ordered a regular size "Riker". The pizza had red sauce, hot honey, hot ham, pepperoni, jalepenos, and Calabrian peppers. It was super delicious! I wasn't the biggest fan of Detroit style pizza but I am not. The crust was so good! I will say the toppings could've been dispersed a lot better and maybe more. Also this is their spicy pie, didn't think it was that spicy. The regular size pizza was good for two people with an extra slice or two leftover. I ordered there, since it's Detroit style it does take a little big long to cook. I thought the pricing was fair and the inside was quaint.

My favorite flavor combo is the Hot Honey Lemon Pepper. I've also tried Ranch (fried regular, then tossed in dry rub) and Honey Garlic+Teriyaki, all delicious but the HHLP are number one for me. The options are endless. Even the fries are always fried just right, golden brown and crispy. The only negative about the place is their mix of lemonade, fruit and peach punches. To me, they're weak and all taste like sugar water. Always find myself having to ad something to it, or opting to just get a fountain drink. S/O to the the guy taking the orders (the white guy that's always there). He's great and keeps things running smooth in there. FOOD We stopped in for a quick Friday dinner and ordered the burger, brisket dip with waffle fries, and a tendies basket. The burger was juicy and cooked to order (medium rare as asked!) with a nice toasted bun. The brisket dip was tender and flavorful, and the sweet waffle fries came out hot and crispy too. The tendies basket was solid: well-seasoned, not greasy, and a good portion for sharing. Overall, the hits were the brisket dip and waffle fries; the burger and tendies were reliable. Craving a greasy comfort food spot for the day, and this was pretty darn solid for the price and friendly fast service! AMBIANCE The vibe is relaxed and neighborhood-friendly with an outdoor area with standing room and the TV.
