IF you have a high powered car, do not take it here. After they smogged it, they took it out on the street and parked it way down around the corner. Apparently they must have "gotten on it" because the clutch ( very high quality and expensive) was messed up and very different when I got back in it. I did complain to no avail. Do not let your car out of your sight. I have used them before with no problems, but I will never use them again. read more

I walked in the door and they helped me right away. Its a small check only station, but it's clean, and I was in and out. within minutes. The price is right at 39.95 if you mention yelp and post a review. Tthey don't attempt to influence what you say). The only reason it's not 5 stars is that their yelp profile says they are open until 6 but they are only open until 5, so it makes it hard to go, when you can only do so during work hours. read more

the guy who helped us was grumpy and rude, our car didn't pass smog so he said it would cost fifty bucks to retest. He said he only works sunday so I'm gonna go in any other day but then and hopefully get someone helpful instead of rude.He also denied our coupon off the bat even though we didn't know the older car rules. Smog went fine, but my low rating is for the coupon that they offer on their website. If you pick this shop because of the deal, read the coupon close....... Trucks are extra, but the $10 is for something different. Hence they charge whatever they want with or without a coupon for trucks. read more

No stars. This is obviously a scam since I printed out a coupon on their website and then called up the place to verify all was in order. Even read the coupon to the person an told him that I was renewing my registration. Gave him the car model and the model year. Made sure this was an out the door price. Got there and they would not honor the coupon and quoted a much higher price. DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE. The coupon is a gimmick to get you in the door and then quote you a higher price. If the owner has any honor he would accept the coupon. Evidently that is not in his character. I filed a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (of which they advertise as being a member) and I hope the have their license revoked. read more

The guy at the counter was very rude and angry. I went there around 9:20am and there were no customers and no waiting. After doing some minor paper work, he asked me for the car key. As I was trying to remove the car key from my key chain, he made an off-hand remark to just pull the car into the garage myself since "I didn't seem to want to give him the key and he didn't have time to wait". He seemed to have plenty of time to chat with his friend as my husband pulled the car into the service garage for him. The service was fast since there was no other customer waiting during that time. Strangely rude and dishonest! I went to the Dublin location to have my 2004 Honda Pilot inspected and brought my coupon with me. When I went to the desk, he immediately took the coupon then handed me a paper to sign. I noticed a line that said that an SUV is $20 more. I mentioned that the coupon stated that SUVs cost $10 more. He disagreed. I asked to see the coupon and then he said he didn't want my business if I didn't trust him. I had been quite friendly so I was confused. I said "really?" He said "I don't want your business. You can go across the street." I again asked for my coupon back and he said no, that it was his property. Wow! I am so irritated and surprised that my experience motivated me to complete my first yelp review. 2 hours later... A friendly man called and clarified/remedied the situation. Update: after my Yelp review, Joe called and said that next time I'd get my smog check for $20. He wouldn't honor it when I went in. Seriously?! read more

I want to clearly state that I was at this business on September 21, 2016, at 3 p.m., so the owner can trace to the staff at the counter who was very rude to me. First, I was a bit shocked at the price of $90 to smog test my 2010 Honda Civic according to the price list posted on the wall. My husband told me he got his done for $30 at 98th Ave in Oakland last year. So I called that place and they told me it's $40. The counter person walked in and heard my conversation. I asked him if he would match his competitor and he said $40. To be sure, I asked why the posted price is $90. He answered belligerently that I could pay that price if I like. I said for the same price, I would stay and wait for my turn. Upon second thought, I said I would go to the other place just to get some better attitude for my service. He thanked me sarcastically for not staying. It was clear that he didn't want my business. I rather drive 30 minutes to a place more welcoming and friendly. read more

if you own beamer, this is not the place for you. i took my 750i, and the owner quoted $80 at first, when i questioned him why it is so high for smog check, then he charged $60. my real issue is what they did with car. He told me the ABS, parking brake, drive control signs came on, and it is normal, they will go off after i drive for a little and stop and start. Well, the lights come on every time i start the vehicle, and stay on, until i drive for a mile. i really dont understand why cant he be honest and tell me ahead of time on what the problems with beamers are? there was another beamer that was done before me, and i don't recall him warning the owner about this behavior. i don't like this business, they are dishonest. i guess that is what you get when you look for cheap smog check. read more

I had been bringing all my vehicles to this place since my family and I moved to Dublin. But today changed it all as Mark Espinoza did not let me speak a word in regards to a quote I received over the phone and the amount being charged when my son actually brought in the vehicle. Stated that my son was to have mentioned the quoted price before the smog. Said that I needed to blame my son. I took offense to that and said that I would not be returning and his reply was "good, it would be best for the both us". Called and was told "44 if you come today, 62 any other day of the week. Out of the door. Ask for Joe". $44 being the lowest quote I'd received, I rearrange my schedule, drop the kids off at a friends and show up and come face to face with a lady crushing a tissue and gulping down coffee and repeatedly going "I should have listened to them and never come here!" . Joe shows up and asks me to sign the paperwork without putting any price in. I clarify and ask if its $44 and Joe suddenly tells me of a DMV fee of $3 that everyone has to pay. I ask what his meaning of "out of the door is" and he goes " have a good one"!!!! I walk out and present a "Clear Blue" $39.95 coupon (with an $8 something for transmission) at next door Quality and they honor it! Quality smog check is best!!! read more

I found this business online, and didn't check Yelp reviews in advance. My mistake! I arrived a litte before noon, and went into the office. There was no one behind the desk. There were 3 other customers waiting. I assumed they had 'checked in' and were waiting their cars. After about 5 minutes of waiting and no office staff appearing, I asked the other customers if they were waiting for their cars. They said no, they were waiting to be helped! I stepped outside the office and there was a technician working on a vehicle. There was also someone sitting on a couch in the back, talking on a cell phone. I assume he works there, but hard to say. I asked the tech if he was the only person working. He wasn't very helpful, said no 'there should be someone in the office'. I said there wasn't. He said 'they should probably be back soon'. I waited another 10 minutes, then decided that I had waiting long enough and I left. The other 3 customers were still waiting - without having been helped or greeted - when I left. I called and ask the price for a 99 SUV and was told that it would be the coupon price plus $10. When I arrived the next day, the only person there was on the phone and barely acknowledged me. When he finally did, gave him the paperwork along with the coupon and told him of the phone call. He very curtly told me that I should come back when the person I talked to on the phone was there. I, of course, had no idea who that was. After repeating the info from the phone call he seemingly agreed but wrote up an invoice that added to the coupon price an additional $10 for being a 1999 model plus an additional $10 for being an SUV. I told him again of the phone advice. I told him it was just plain wrong in what he was doing but I would pay it because I wanted to get this behind me. To my surprise (and delight it turns out) he then says he would not serve me. I gathered my papers and left without comment, leaving him in the empty room with no customers in sight as was the case when I arrived, his cheap Fedora and all. As noted, I was delighted to be able to find another place in short order that did it for 29.95 and no add-ons. No chance for my return with the three additional cars that I must smog check each year. read more
