I brought in my 2019 Audi SQ5 in to Midas because I heard my brakes squeal and I was hoping it might be only brake pad dust . The brake light indicator never went on. They told me my front brake pads were 4to5 mm and back was 8 mm of wear and the front needed to be replaced . Their quote was $1200 for pads and rotors. I paid them their $50 inspection which by the way gets applied into the repair if you decide to do it. I decided to take it to an Audi dealership the following week. Audi mechanics told me my front pads were 6to7 mm and back was 11 mm and not to replace my brakes until my warning light went on. The reason why I decided to take it to a dealership is because I could overhear the sales staff talk to other car owners their sales tactics of quotes for a repair , then a reduction in their quote of $50 for a coupon they found , then an additional discount of $50 if the customer was still upset over the quote for repair. The total quote was still close to $1200 for 2 brakes and rotors . They know the inconvenience of having to pickup your car to get a second opinion so most car owners reluctantly give in to the repair. read more

I'm from Missouri and set an apt late on a Sat night . Online... for a Sunday at 11:00 am. I was needing a donut gasket for my exhaust. They got me in immediately at my apt. Time.. charged me 40.00 to find the problem then my decision from there. i agreed to have it fixed as they suggested. During them attempting to fix they ran into difficulties and asked to keep a bit longer. When I called the next morning they had taken it to an exhaust specialist at no cost to me. And had what they were having trouble with fixed. Again at no cost to me!! They had it done and ready a couple hours later and I was on my way! Summary: Price to value ratio is extremely bad. I brought my 2020 Chevy Equinox here for A/C compressor replacement, spark plugs, and an oil change. While the service was completed on time, I later discovered I was charged significantly above market rates -- including $62 per spark plug and $949 for the A/C compressor part, both of which are far higher than OEM retail pricing. I signed an estimate but was never informed of the steep part markups or given a chance to explore more affordable options. If I had known, I would have waited for lower-cost parts. Honest Review: I am on a fixed budget and try to save as much as I can especially when I felt that my local dealership was charging $25-30 more for a full synthetic oil/filter change at 10K mileage before telling me I needed both the engine/cabin filter replaced (I bought the parts and did it myself lol, only took 15mins). So I told them to just fix the new vehicle issues under the warranties (all technical) which were done on the same day late afternoon by 4:30pm on Saturday, 08/17/24. That was when I noticed that Midas of Dublin was opened until 5pm and had remembered them since getting a full synthetic oil/filter change for my SUV years ago (I didn't drive much during the pandemic since being able to work remotely then later hybrid from home) so I decided to swing by before closing to see if I can schedule something for the day after on Sunday. Luckily, my memory still worked and first impressions always had a big impact on me so I remembered Junior assisting me who is now the Branch Manager of this location which is super awesome; shoutout to you and congratulations! Junior was very nice and cordial as always making sure that I felt at ease with scheduling a last minute full synthetic oil/filter change for my sedan AND even honored leaving my vehicle overnight locked inside their service stations (I had my own ride) to be picked up next day Sunday morning after the service was completed. I will definitely be returning to this location as it is much more cost efficient than going to my local dealership and you do not need to worry about any upselling.
