When we went to pick them up, whoever was manning the shop rudely informed us that "You just bought all my chocolate and glazed donuts, now I have nothing to sell. There are people who come in every day to buy those donuts and now I don't have any and it takes six hours to make more!" A counter displaying an array of yummy doughnuts, a self-service coffee station on the corner and a picture-posted menu on the wall, which in my opinion is helpful in deciding what to order. I must agree with B H. regarding the friendlyness of the Staff; not great, but nice. By the way, the napkings are on the little basket by the register and by the coffee station for you to help yourself. I had the chorizo & egg croissant and it was amazing (and not too greasy!) The bottom line: If you are looking for a fancy seated breakfast place with fancy plates, coffee and prices, this is not your stop (though you will miss out on the great food). Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was definitely disappointed when leaving this place. First off, I ordered #27, which is a bagel with ham, egg, and cheese. It came with MAYO slathered on both sides of it; this is unusual, no other bagel place does this to their breakfast bagels and I really would have appreciated a warning. It was disgusting. But since I didn't want to seem like a b**** I just sucked it up and had to waste hella napkins trying to get all the mayo off. Second off, I ordered a hot tea. The tea bags are there for you to grab yourself, as are the cups as well as all the different types of coffee. I assumed I could get hot water to fill my cup on my own, but I was wrong so I had to ask her to get it for me. She said "oh yeah" and my first thought was, why didn't you automatically give me a cup with hot water if you clearly are the only one who can provide me with the hot water? This part isn't such a big deal but is now amplified because of the other disappointments! Thirdly, we were never asked whether we wanted our food "for here or to go". But of course every single customer after us was asked whether they wanted it "for here or to go". (I didn't notice about the people before us). That's just rude. Of course we just took our wrapped food out of the wasted paper bag they gave us and still ate it there. Lastly, it IS a donut shop. We didn't try the donuts but they looked great and honestly, how can you f*** up on making donuts though? (this is why I am giving 2 stars and not 1, I'm sure this place does a great job with donuts, but not with anything else including customer service) We just didn't want to drive all the way to Capitola to Main Street Bagels, which is my absolute favorite place for breakfast bagels/sandwiches.
