They have a whole bunch of toppings to choose from and I stuck to the classic glaze and sprinkles. It's little pricey 6 for 6 bucks! 3 staff on shift, one was counting money (cash out in the open - not very wise), one was helping a customer while chatting with a friend who was standing by the counter, the last one was checking her phone and drinking water (was she on a break??). We were essentially ignored the whole 5 minutes until the staff who was helping another customer finished. He was nice enough to recommend a flavor my son might like, and let him try the other flavor. Doughnuts don't have much flavor. A bite-size (literally) for $1, but 6 doughnuts minimum. My son and I agreed Dunkin's doughnuts taste much better. I could get 10 munchkins for $6. Coffee didn't have any taste at all. The girl who was counting money was RUDE. She ignored everyone and was rude to the staff who helped us. She asked us if we ordered. I said yes. She asked what we ordered. After I told her, she said 4 words: "$8.50", "what sauce (to the staff)", "$9.50", and "receipt?" All without any hint of customer service. I'd give 1 star but the staff who helped us was nice. Last week Friday, I Walked into the turnstile market extremely excited to finally try out these donuts. But although the donuts were good, my overall experience was not. I was taken cared of by a kind,sweet gentleman; but while I was being served i couldn't help but over hear a argument with one of the workers and a man who seemed to be a boss of some sort. They were bickering intensely, and seemed like the employee was being talked down on. Since this just opened, I figured I should give it a shot. Asked the girl which flavors she liked and she handed me a piece of paper and said house favorites are listed on the menu, then walked away. This was at 7am, not busy. So I looked it over and ordered 4 flavors: Cacaoboy (I was rudely corrected that this is pronounced cowboy...in what language?), Purple Pig, Urban Monkey and Pumpkin Pie Brulee. Brought them into work, everyone agreed, they all tasted exactly the same. We could not tell which ones we were eating. It tasted like sugared fried dough. 2 stars because I like fried dough but definitely not worth $11 for 12. Go get a zeppole on the streets. read more

I chose to get 6 donuts (3 pumpkin creme brûlée and 3 strawberry speckle)... they were NOT FRESH AT ALL! Not warm, the cashier took them from a dish that looked like they had been there for hours, the dough was cold and 3 of them (so, half my order) were so hard, that I couldn't bite into it. This donut shop is located in the turnstyle underground plaza of Columbus Circle. It was very mediocre. I was craving donuts and was not satisfied. They are small not very fluffy donuts with a variety of flavored sugars. We tried the strawberry one that was really lacking flavor. We also had the chocolate one that was almost too flavorful. They would have been better in a dipping sauce. I did enjoy that they were hot though. Service was quick and the people who worked there extremely nice. Loved eating warm fresh doughnuts! Hit the spot perfectly for my fresh pastry craving! Got an assortment of the flavored sugar coatings. My favorite was the House of Cardamom followed by Urban Monkey from the 5 flavors I tried. Did not indulge in any of the glazings but definitely will next time. The service was great. These are a cute little novelty kind of thing. But nothing too great. We ordered 12 - 4 different flavors - for $11. The old fashioned glazed was our favorite. The rest just had a flavored powder on them, nothing too special about them. The big bummer was the service. I really wanted to like this place because a) they make doughnuts and b) I pass by it quite often. Maybe I was just having a bad day but I just didn't understand the two flavors free deal. The minimum order is 6 mini doughnuts for $6 and it appears you can pick two different flavors. The girl couldn't really explain what that meant and kept saying stuff wasn't available so I just ended up with the glazed doughnuts. Big mistake. It tasted like a giant french fry with vanilla glaze. Way too fried, not sweet at all and crunchy!!! I also ordered a fruit punch from their fountain machine and it had a really weird metallic after taste. So that was my experience and I won't be stopping there again!! read more

But it's a little hard for me to say that Doughnuttery was delicious. I was disappointed when I went there a few days ago and got the 6 count doughnut deal. This meant I could pick two different flavors. It was the cheapest option, but still a little pricey. I chose the Matcha flavor and the Paris Time flavor, which is a lavender and vanilla flavor. I was a little disappointed to discover that the doughnuts were smaller (WAY smaller) than I thought, especially for the price. Also, I could not distinguish between the flavors as they both tasted like sugar coated doughnuts. The process seemed unprofessional, as they just toss the doughnuts in a paper bag and throw some scoops of sugar, or the (flavorless) flavoring with them and close the bag and proceed to shake it until they're coated. All in all, if you want an expensive treat that is mediocre at best, then I would recommend Doughnuttery. read more

I returned another day since it is on my way to work and i received great customer service from Ana and Jody they answered all my questions, gave me suggestions and made my donuts on the spot. I'm not sure if this is the right location but I'm going to take a bet it probably is. I went here completely by accident on a mission to find the A train in the city. Just so happen to find this place and was super excited! Donte and Eddie were awesome with service. It was late and I didn't really know what to try so they put together some sweet mixtures and it definitely hit the spot! The donuts were fresh and the customer service was AMAZING. I rarely leave reviews but in this case these two guys definitely need some recognization. Don't even bother. The donuts are good. I'll give them that. But the staff seem like they hate having any business. I bought 24 from them. Not a small number. The staff were all on their phones. The person that was packing them up was going at snail speed. When they finished packing them you'd think they would give me the bag over the glass counter right?! Since I was standing right infront of them! NOPE! They went to check their phone that was changing on the back counter.......and after that was done. They handed the bag to the women at the cash wrap. She too was on her phone. As I walked over to her to get them she didn't move or pick her head up. I had to ask her, these are mine right?! For her to even notice that she was holding the bag, which was already paid for. She looked up at me, didint smile didnt say anything, just pushed the bags towards me and went back yo her phone as she turned away from me. I will NEVER recommend this place.
