    Big Apple donut

We came here for the Apple donut and it was... okay. Nothing special or memorable about it. It looks cute from the outside though. The sole taste is very light and minor. I appreciate the location since it felt like a warm little safe haven while escaping the cold windy weather in Times Square. The little seating area is nice. The little paper hats are cute and fun for kids. Appreciated that you could order at a kiosk or walk up to the counter to order (didn't see an option to self order the Apple donut though).

Stopped by yesterday to redeem my 3 free birthday donuts on the app, and also purchase an additional 6 donuts for my family. It was crowded inside and most people didn't know how to use the kiosk. There was a line for the bathroom and a short line to walk up and purchase which is what i did. The young man that helped me was very nice and worked quickly. Def a cool location with a lot of tourists but the donuts are Amazing

Excellent location in Times Square only a few blocks from the hotel we were staying at. At this location, since it is so popular, you have to wait outside and then the Security Guard lets you in. Delicious donuts as always and they have a specialty Big Apple donut which is delicious!

This Krispy Kreme location is definitely a fun place to visit, as it is right in the heart of Times Square. You can watch them make the donuts fresh and certain times of the day, and they offer store-specific merch if you want to grab a fun souvenir. They have a wide variety of donut flavors to choose from, and service was quick and friendly - tons of cashiers kept the line moving smoothly, even with the tourist crowd. I got a strawberry sprinkle donut that was fresh, light and fluffy. However, the coffee was disgusting - bitter and just not enjoyable. I had to throw this out, and grab a coffee elsewhere. Overall, it's a lively spot worth visiting for the experience and the sweets, but not for coffee.

The perfect place to stop for a doughnut in the heart of Manhattan. My friends and I came in for some hot donuts after waiting in line and watching a today show taping with Reneé Rapp as the concert guest we needed a little sweet treat to help pick us up after being awake for so many hours without sleep. I got myself a hot glazed doughnut, and it was the perfect Krispy Kreme doughnut everything about it was fabulous. It was warm. It was gooey and a little bit crispy. It hit the spot. This is also a great place to use the bathroom if you are in town Square there is a key code but if you ask the security guard or one of the people working there, they will give you the code. Also if you need to buy a doughnut to use the bathroom the donuts are not that expensive, so it's an easy way to use the bathroom downtown.

This is the coolest Krispy Kreme. It has quite a long line to get in but it moves quickly. They had cool specialty donuts I have not seen anywhere else. The seating and esthetic inside was cool.

No place better to have warm, fresh donuts!! The wait is always worth it! Nice location and great service also!! Indoor seating if you're lucky to grab a seat

Pretty spacious and nice Krispy Kreme! While there was a long general line for ordering, the self service kiosks were empty, and my friend and I were able to order right away. We got a few donuts, including some glazed/chocolate variety. The donuts were satisfying and expected coming out of Krispy Kreme. One of my favorite Krispy Kreme locations!

Krispy Kreme is where it's at, especially when you can get them fresh and hot. They have a cool glass window which you can watch the donuts being made fresh. Then you get to eat one of these, they gave us each one free since we were purchasing other donuts. This location also has lots of merch you can purchase which is cool and they have free old-fashioned hats to wear. There's also some location exclusive stuff, featuring a big apple donut! I will say there was a terribly long line and we did wait for a while. We also had to wait before even entering the establishment. But it was worth it.

I haven't had Krispy Kreme in a long time. All three donuts were absolutely incredible. They were super soft and addicting. The Hershey's one was my favorite! I may or may have not have eaten all of them in one sitting. Lol Service was also quick.

Came here on a Friday evening and it was crowded. There were staff trying to direct people as they came in, but it was still confusing. We tried to order at the kiosks, but got shuffled to the line to order at the register. It went pretty fast and the shift lead took our order. He was distracted and talking to other people so I had to give my order 3 times. They have a variety of flavors. The custard filled did not have very much custard. The truffle was good. Still prefer the original glazed. Try to avoid this location due to crowds and disorganization. Loud ambiance.

Krispy Kreme Time Square location is a very nice location to visit. At this location customers get a first hand view of how the donuts are made, the donuts are prepared fresh. The service is very good. Despite the location being in the heart of Times Square, the staff keeps everything, and every one moving along. The atmosphere is donuts heaven. Krispy Kreme are the best donuts, grew up eating them. Definitely give this location a try.

The flagship Kristy Kreme in Times Square always has fresh donuts and you can see them being made sometimes too! It's a basic Krispy Kreme, but if you have to go to one, this is the one! I love their donuts! They also have an exclusive NYC donut, but it is expensive for what it is.

I needed a sweet pick-me-up after missing a train home. While the ice cream flavors looked interesting, I opted for a blue coconut iced matcha latte instead. They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y. I look forward to trying other donuts and sweets from Bear Donut in the future!

All of the staff members are efficient and sweet, even when the shop is busy. Even if there's a line or they are making a bunch of orders, their service is consistently extremely fast without sacrificing quality. This spot is one of the more well-known doughnut shops in the city, and after trying it, it's easy to see why. We ordered the Hazelnut doughnut and the Pistachio doughnut, and both were excellent. The Pistachio doughnut was lighter and had a great balance of sweetness with a nice pistachio flavor throughout. Both doughnuts were soft, fresh, and packed with flavor without being overly heavy. The location inside Grand Central gives it a really cool NYC vibe as well. It's the perfect stop to grab a coffee and doughnut while exploring the city or waiting for a train. Filled donuts are bursting at the seams with custard that tastes like egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla and little else. The orange cream cheese donut is generously frosted with, I'd guess, a mixture of cream cheese, marmalade, powdered sugar, and cream. Based on what we've tried, the donuts at Caroline's are old fashioned, unadulterated and excellent. I recently picked up four donuts for the fambly: the aforementioned orange cream cheese, creme brulee, Boston cream, and raspberry glaze donuts. This was in the afternoon around 4 p.m. and all of them were perfectly, wondrously fresh. The person at the counter (the male proprietor, I think) assured me in his charming French accent that they freshly fry donuts several times a day. Creme brulee was the fan favorite with the hard, crisp, sugar shell on top cracking delicately under a knife to reveal a loose, rich, custardy filling. But across the board, donuts were beautifully made (both aesthetic and delicious!), and well frosted / glazed / filled. The raspberry glaze by itself was a touch too sweet for our tastes, but applied with restraint so the overall effect was balanced. We are not in the donut market very often, but have had this place bookmarked ever since my esteemed Yelp colleague, Alan S., reviewed it last year. Now that we've tried these beauties, I think we're going to find many excuses to be back (e.g. for Hannukah sufganiyot, anything round for Lunar New Year, anything fried for Diwali, anything that can support a candle for birthdays, etc...).We really like this place and we suspect you will, too.

The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet. The dough is light and fluffy and generously coated with granulated sugar. What a treat!
