    Big Apple donut

We came here for the Apple donut and it was... okay. Nothing special or memorable about it. It looks cute from the outside though. The sole taste is very light and minor. I appreciate the location since it felt like a warm little safe haven while escaping the cold windy weather in Times Square. The little seating area is nice. The little paper hats are cute and fun for kids. Appreciated that you could order at a kiosk or walk up to the counter to order (didn't see an option to self order the Apple donut though).

Despite its valuable time square location, it still provided free hot and now donut! I saw the location exclusive red apple donut on the display board and thought why would anyone buy this. However seeing the actual apple donut with shining red gloss frosting and perfectly shaped and decorated, I can see why this could be an awesome souvenir for a donut lover.

Excellent location in Times Square only a few blocks from the hotel we were staying at. At this location, since it is so popular, you have to wait outside and then the Security Guard lets you in. Delicious donuts as always and they have a specialty Big Apple donut which is delicious!

Stopped by yesterday to redeem my 3 free birthday donuts on the app, and also purchase an additional 6 donuts for my family. It was crowded inside and most people didn't know how to use the kiosk. There was a line for the bathroom and a short line to walk up and purchase which is what i did. The young man that helped me was very nice and worked quickly. Def a cool location with a lot of tourists but the donuts are Amazing

This Krispy Kreme location is definitely a fun place to visit, as it is right in the heart of Times Square. You can watch them make the donuts fresh and certain times of the day, and they offer store-specific merch if you want to grab a fun souvenir. They have a wide variety of donut flavors to choose from, and service was quick and friendly - tons of cashiers kept the line moving smoothly, even with the tourist crowd. I got a strawberry sprinkle donut that was fresh, light and fluffy. However, the coffee was disgusting - bitter and just not enjoyable. I had to throw this out, and grab a coffee elsewhere. Overall, it's a lively spot worth visiting for the experience and the sweets, but not for coffee.

The perfect place to stop for a doughnut in the heart of Manhattan. My friends and I came in for some hot donuts after waiting in line and watching a today show taping with Reneé Rapp as the concert guest we needed a little sweet treat to help pick us up after being awake for so many hours without sleep. I got myself a hot glazed doughnut, and it was the perfect Krispy Kreme doughnut everything about it was fabulous. It was warm. It was gooey and a little bit crispy. It hit the spot. This is also a great place to use the bathroom if you are in town Square there is a key code but if you ask the security guard or one of the people working there, they will give you the code. Also if you need to buy a doughnut to use the bathroom the donuts are not that expensive, so it's an easy way to use the bathroom downtown.

This is the coolest Krispy Kreme. It has quite a long line to get in but it moves quickly. They had cool specialty donuts I have not seen anywhere else. The seating and esthetic inside was cool.

No place better to have warm, fresh donuts!! The wait is always worth it! Nice location and great service also!! Indoor seating if you're lucky to grab a seat

Pretty spacious and nice Krispy Kreme! While there was a long general line for ordering, the self service kiosks were empty, and my friend and I were able to order right away. We got a few donuts, including some glazed/chocolate variety. The donuts were satisfying and expected coming out of Krispy Kreme. One of my favorite Krispy Kreme locations!

Krispy Kreme is where it's at, especially when you can get them fresh and hot. They have a cool glass window which you can watch the donuts being made fresh. Then you get to eat one of these, they gave us each one free since we were purchasing other donuts. This location also has lots of merch you can purchase which is cool and they have free old-fashioned hats to wear. There's also some location exclusive stuff, featuring a big apple donut! I will say there was a terribly long line and we did wait for a while. We also had to wait before even entering the establishment. But it was worth it.

Krispy Kreme Time Square location is a very nice location to visit. At this location customers get a first hand view of how the donuts are made, the donuts are prepared fresh. The service is very good. Despite the location being in the heart of Times Square, the staff keeps everything, and every one moving along. The atmosphere is donuts heaven. Krispy Kreme are the best donuts, grew up eating them. Definitely give this location a try.

The flagship Kristy Kreme in Times Square always has fresh donuts and you can see them being made sometimes too! It's a basic Krispy Kreme, but if you have to go to one, this is the one! I love their donuts! They also have an exclusive NYC donut, but it is expensive for what it is.

Came here on a Friday evening and it was crowded. There were staff trying to direct people as they came in, but it was still confusing. We tried to order at the kiosks, but got shuffled to the line to order at the register. It went pretty fast and the shift lead took our order. He was distracted and talking to other people so I had to give my order 3 times. They have a variety of flavors. The custard filled did not have very much custard. The truffle was good. Still prefer the original glazed. Try to avoid this location due to crowds and disorganization. Loud ambiance.

    Anyone know the store hours?

Main store(inside) is open from 8 am to 10 pm but our walk up window is open 24 hours for hot original glazed doughnuts and hot coffee.

The Boston cream had a rich, smooth filling with the perfect chocolate glaze, and the strawberry sprinkles donut was perfectly sweet and nostalgic. What makes this place special is that it's both affordable and consistently delicious! They have all the classic flavors but also some specialty donuts if you want to try something different. The old-school ambiance gives it a real Brooklyn charm, and it feels like stepping back in time. Just remember to bring cash because it's cash only; but it's absolutely worth it.

The shop has a retro vibe reminiscent of a 1950s diner, offering a wide range of pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast options, making it a beloved local fixture for over 60 years. During a visit to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, I decided to explore the local food scene. As I researched, this donut shop kept coming up as a top favorite among locals. My daughter and I stepped inside, and it was buzzing with activity. The place had a nostalgic feel, and it's a cash-only establishment. There are so many donuts to choose from, but my daughter went with a Red Velvet, while I opted for a Sugar Raise--a classic sugar donut because it was my first time here and I wanted something simple. The donuts were decent. The Sugar Raise wasn't extraordinary, but it was fresh. I gave my daughter's Red Velvet a try, but it didn't quite hit the mark; instead of a subtle cocoa-vanilla flavor, it was pretty heavy on the chocolate. The service was friendly, and I'm glad we took the chance to visit this longstanding bakery, which has been around for more than six decades.

Anyways, one order of the mini donuts, they are super customizable and if you need help picking and choosing flavors and toppings, the staff member can provide suggestions and pairings. I got the Ube and Pistachio and they both taste great, especially when they're freshly made and warm. I've also tried the Strawberry Covered Chocolates and those strawberries were massive. The problem with massive strawberries is eating them. If I had a knife, I could cut them into smaller pieces as eating them on a skewer stick got really messy. Also the strawberry itself overpowered any of the chocolate taste, so it didn't balance well in terms of taste. For sure favored the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.

I was also eyeing the croffles because they looked almost like ice creams. Filled donuts are bursting at the seams with custard that tastes like egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla and little else. The orange cream cheese donut is generously frosted with, I'd guess, a mixture of cream cheese, marmalade, powdered sugar, and cream. Based on what we've tried, the donuts at Caroline's are old fashioned, unadulterated and excellent. I recently picked up four donuts for the fambly: the aforementioned orange cream cheese, creme brulee, Boston cream, and raspberry glaze donuts. This was in the afternoon around 4 p.m. and all of them were perfectly, wondrously fresh. The person at the counter (the male proprietor, I think) assured me in his charming French accent that they freshly fry donuts several times a day. Creme brulee was the fan favorite with the hard, crisp, sugar shell on top cracking delicately under a knife to reveal a loose, rich, custardy filling. But across the board, donuts were beautifully made (both aesthetic and delicious!), and well frosted / glazed / filled. The raspberry glaze by itself was a touch too sweet for our tastes, but applied with restraint so the overall effect was balanced. We are not in the donut market very often, but have had this place bookmarked ever since my esteemed Yelp colleague, Alan S., reviewed it last year. Now that we've tried these beauties, I think we're going to find many excuses to be back (e.g. for Hannukah sufganiyot, anything round for Lunar New Year, anything fried for Diwali, anything that can support a candle for birthdays, etc...).We really like this place and we suspect you will, too.

I'm talking about an establishment that makes high-quality gourmet treats. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to see this one opening in the neighborhood last year. I have been to Caroline's several times since it opened its doors to the public. I've tried a few of their items, including the glazed twist, Boston creme, coffee donut, and strawberry filled. The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet. The dough is light and fluffy and generously coated with granulated sugar. What a treat!
