However, that day was National Doughnut Day so of course it was packed because they were giving free donuts. The donuts you can choose for free was the classic donuts. I also bought some Knicks inspired donuts & the banana pudding. It was really good. Unfortunately, I didn't take more pics because I've been there a few times & I thought I reviewed it before. Huge Krispy Kreme store with plenty of seating and free samples during hot light...which apparently is on most of the day and night! You can line up and watch the donuts get made as it goes through each step on the conveyor belt. This store has a specialty New York Big Apple donut that is beautiful and has a pretty box for the single donut. The price is steep at $13 but I'm sure some people are willing to pay for it! There is a line to purchase donuts or request a free fresh glazed donut. It goes relatively quickly. read more

Date of visit: April 13, 2026 While we weren't necessarily hungry, the "HOT" sign was on at this Times Square location of Krispy Kreme and with just a single location back home that is not conveniently located, we succumbed to our weakness and ordered a half-dozen for the three of us from the kiosk. The kiosk was a great idea, as it helps with lines. Too bad the employees inside were more concerned with talking to each other than cleaning as the seating area could have definitely used some help--it was hard to find a place to sit while waiting for our number to be called. And then imagine our disappointment when the donuts weren't actually hot. Like at all. Not even lukewarm. I am sure we could have complained, but honestly, it wasn't worth the time. We came here for the Apple donut and it was... okay. Nothing special or memorable about it. It looks cute from the outside though. The sole taste is very light and minor. I appreciate the location since it felt like a warm little safe haven while escaping the cold windy weather in Times Square. The little seating area is nice. The little paper hats are cute and fun for kids. Appreciated that you could order at a kiosk or walk up to the counter to order (didn't see an option to self order the Apple donut though). read more

Excellent location in Times Square only a few blocks from the hotel we were staying at. At this location, since it is so popular, you have to wait outside and then the Security Guard lets you in. Delicious donuts as always and they have a specialty Big Apple donut which is delicious! read more

Despite its valuable time square location, it still provided free hot and now donut! I saw the location exclusive red apple donut on the display board and thought why would anyone buy this. You can watch them make the donuts fresh and certain times of the day, and they offer store-specific merch if you want to grab a fun souvenir. They have a wide variety of donut flavors to choose from, and service was quick and friendly - tons of cashiers kept the line moving smoothly, even with the tourist crowd. The perfect place to stop for a doughnut in the heart of Manhattan. My friends and I came in for some hot donuts after waiting in line and watching a today show taping with Reneé Rapp as the concert guest we needed a little sweet treat to help pick us up after being awake for so many hours without sleep. I got myself a hot glazed doughnut, and it was the perfect Krispy Kreme doughnut everything about it was fabulous. It was warm. It was gooey and a little bit crispy. It hit the spot. This is also a great place to use the bathroom if you are in town Square there is a key code but if you ask the security guard or one of the people working there, they will give you the code. Also if you need to buy a doughnut to use the bathroom the donuts are not that expensive, so it's an easy way to use the bathroom downtown. read more

The problem with this place is if you order an item that isn't as popular, it's probably going to taste a little stale. KK donuts are best when they're fresh or eaten within three hours of them being cooked. Stopping by on a Sunday afternoon for an iced coffee and donut before catching my Amtrak train home. Ordered ahead by about 5 minutes as the store always seems to have a line. Was able to walk right in and my order was already ready. I got the original glazed donut and it's so good fresh. It's good hot, but also just a bit cooled is the right temperature for it. You can order on the line with the cashiers or on the app for pickup. There's a designated pick up area. I ordered on the app and it was ready for pickup when I got there. This is a big location. I've only tried Krispy Kreme once in Vegas a long time ago...I was waiting nearby so I decided to walk over here to kill some time and try them again. It was actually completely packed. Like .. wtf it's just donuts.. not even specialty donuts. There's a bunch of kiosks to order from if you don't want to order from a human. The wait wasn't too bad. It was just a few mins even though there seemed to be a ton of people waiting. So we tried the reg glazed, the one with cream and one with lemon. Surprisingly... the favorite was the lemon. The texture of the donut was the best and it wasn't too sweet or tart from the lemon. The one with cream was way too sweet .. I had one bite and any more would have given me diabetes. The regular glazed chocolate seemed like the donut part was more bread like but I needed it to counter the sweetness. I'd come back for the lemon.. Over $9 for 3.. even though I've had much more exp desserts...those were higher quality. This was just okay but I'm glad I tried it after so long. All Long Island stores suddenly closed. Damn. I have a co worker with me who is from down south. I told him after dinner, I'm going to grab a fresh Krispy Kreme doughnut. We walk into the store and it is massive. There's a long line but its moving quickly. The line is passing all the great Krispy Kreme merch: Hats, tee shirts, sweartshirts, coffee mugs, all adorned with the Krispy Kreme logo. The December Donut is a special Big Apple Doughnut, it comes in a commerative box. I am like a crack head at this point, I don't need a stinkin' box, gimme a glazed donut asap! Their coffee? I'm not usually a donut person, but visiting this location was surprising. It seems like the flagship spot with a full factory conveyor belt setup visible through large windows where you can watch the entire donut making process. That part alone makes it worth stopping by at least once. However, the service left a bad taste in my mouth. Things felt a bit chaotic and disorganized. I will give credit to the person at the door who was doing their best to keep the line moving, but once I reached the front, the staff seemed overwhelmed, inattentive, and I was even skipped over, which was frustrating. I ended up not ordering anything because of that and just let my party go ahead. The environment was also very hectic, filled with pushy tourists, rude foreigners and people with little regard for personal space or manners. It made the entire vibe feel uncomfortable. Especially having to be with a 7year old whom was disregarded too. Until things are implemented better and they streamline their service, I don't think I'll be coming back to this location.
