LeVain Bakery at this location is a straight walk for me up Central Park West. Central Park West turns into Frederick Douglass Boulevard and LeVain is easy to find in this busy neighborhood. I'm usually going to see a lot of places when I walk this far. I typically get a cookie to go and eat it when I stop somewhere to rest. I've never been to a LeVains where service wasn't friendly and timely. Employees know their business and get you on your way promptly. I just had a really unsatisfactory experience with this location. My husband and I had visited this location a few months ago and we saw they carried big beautiful bread. We saw what we considered to be a challah. I'm aware that the primary goods here are cookies. I simply called to ask if they had any challah.
