I agree whole-heartedly with the other 5 star comments! Within one visit I felt like I was back in my small hometown in Kansas. That is SO rare in the city. Keith is the best! I don't even look anywhere else for nice jewelry. If he doesn't have it, he has catalogs for you to look at. I'd rather wait on an order from him than get it that day from somewhere else. We got my engagement ring from Keith. I haven't seen another one like it. My fiancée is an engineer and he had to study everything for hours and asked no less than 50 questions. This Keith guy (the jeweler and owner) has the patience of a Saint! He took SO much time educating us on diamonds and gave us his opinion on what looked best in our setting. I shopped around before I took my watches in for batteries and repair. I have an extensive watch collection and I wanted to ensure they would be taken care of. First, I called and they were the nicest people on the phone. Most other jewelers I called sounded as if they were rushed and didn't have time to answer my questions. They were patient and explained everything. I had to call back a second time, I forgot to ask a question. I arrived at the store and they were very attentive, listened to my request, as I had some repairs also. They gave me an AWESOME bulk rate for the amount of watches I took in for batteries and repair. They called one of the manufacturers for me, for a very unique watch/band combo and was able to get the information the next day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HINRICHSEN for all of your jewelry/repair needs. I will be visiting them again soon. They have a great selection of jewelry in the store. I looked around a little while I was there. They are patient, listen, and follow through. I saw the reviews from Yelpers and figured this would be the best place to take care of resizing my Christmas gift, a watch. We went in and within 3-4 minutes he was done with the resize. Amazing job. At $14 for the resize, he was amazing. The jewelry there was gorgeous but my husband saw his dream watch. He is addicted to Suunto watches but he found a Citizen watch that we could not pass up. My case in point, boyfriend gifted me with over $1700 worth of jewelry from Diamond Jim in Phoenix and was not what I wanted, could not refund money only exchange, so I exchanged and exchanged...the last of my credit at that store went to Diamond Earrings that were mislabed and I was told I had stripped the backings (I only owned them for 4 days). Beware of this jeweler. I was sent there by my insurance company when I lost my 1 carat diamond in my wedding ring. I knew nothing about diamonds & trusted this business. Lots of things were going on in my life at that time ( work, sick spouse, house etc.) so I took their word. I did not know process on diamond replacement. The diamond he showed me in the store was never taken out of case nor did I get to examine it. I also gave him diamond earrings to take the screw back off as he said he could do this. What I ended up with was some other backs on my earring one of which turned black. These are 14k diamond earrings I've had for many years but could no long tolerate screw back. I also found out way after the fact they replaced my lost diamond NOT with a GIA diamond but with a cubic zirconia worth about $2.00. I only found this out when I needed a new appraisal for insurance or I would never have known. I never received any appraisal for the "diamond" from this jeweler who was supposed to send it to me. Thought the insurance company must've gotten it. So don't be ignorant of practices like I was - Evidently this is not a rare occurrence. read more

I was so grateful to the staff and owner of Hinrichsen for the care they took with my wedding band and engagement ring. Keith took my watches, the friendly assistant offered a plush chair to relax in while he worked on my watches. I kid you not, he replaced 3 batteries and tried to bring my favorite watch back to life, but unfortunately, to no avail. We have to share our supreme confidence in Keith and Staff. Always attentive, the shops ambience makes browsing and dreaming a joy (so many beautiful, quality items... And if you don't see it, they will find it for you). Jewelry repairs, cleaning, reconstruction of older pieces, were what brought us to Keith. When my fiancé recently lost his sweet mom, she made her 4 adult children promise to take her diamond wedding ring (it had 4 nice diamonds, set in white gold) and create something for each one. My fiancé told his family, "I know just the place". He brought the ring down from WA, and with Keiths expert help, came up with four truly special rings. Each ring featured one of the four stones. Each ring was created for their individual preference in appearance. We asked for some very specific things, including using the gold from the original ring, for the two sisters rings. He created a beautiful, balanced ring (the diamonds are prominent, even thought TCW was not huge). The two men's rings are very handsome. Beyond our expectations. It was a huge undertaking for Keith. I think he may have lost sleep over our rather large challenge. He far surpassed our hopes. Everyone loves their special ring from Mom. To make this perfect, Keith engraved each ring with "Love Mom" and the year she was born, and the year she went Home. Precious gift. Thank you, Keith... And everyone in your Store. Nothing was quite right, but he kept asking questions. We ironed it down to a distilling idea, and he hunted through catalogs for additional designs. We found one that could work. On our next meeting, we showed me diamonds in quality beyond what I was expecting, yet still in my price range. He made it clear the ring I had ordered had stones of high quality, so the center stone should match. I wasn't upsold here, he got me a better stone than other jewelers while staying on budget. I know this because I had used a loupe to look at 20 stones prior to coming to Hinrichsen, so I was really impressed with the options he presented. All in all, Hinrichsen Jewelers is an exceptional store, and Keith is awesome. He helped me get something special.
