Do yourself a favor and get one of everything from Downtime Bakery! You seriously can't go wrong with anything you buy here. Super comfy, cozy and welcoming environment from the moment you step foot through the doors. There's merch, jam, and coffee on the left hand side and it is displayed beautifully. The fresh bread, pastries and sandwiches are also perfectly placed in a glass case in the middle. I knew I would be dining in today, but I gave in to temptation and got 3 other things to go. The Roasted Squash Focaccia Sandwich - let's talk about size. This thing was the size of my head. I could've easily split it in half but I devoured the whole thing like the true champion that I am. The squash, cheese and other veggies inside this sandwich were having a party in my mouth. There was a cauliflower sandwich as well but the squash one had my name on it. It's delicious and it fills you up. My to-go items: Gluten free banana bread, Eggplant Hand Pie and a small Spanish pastry with sugar pearls (I don't remember the name). I was so happy to be able to grab all three and can't wait to enjoy them later. The woman working the counter was very nice, attentive and efficient. She bagged up my to-go items in one bag and rang me up for everything together with my dine-in items. This bakery is truly one of a kind and it deserves all five stars!

Beyond great bagels and breads, downtime has some of the best cakes ever! They remind me of quarter sheets in LA! They made my dream brown sugar rhubarb cake for my mom's bday! Everyone is lovely and ordering was so convenient and easy. Cannot wait to order and visit again soon!

Such a gem of a bakery. This was my first time coming here and it truly didn't disappoint. Everything here is baked fresh in house and you can tell by the taste. I ordered a sour cream and green onion & garlic bun to go, the Waldorf Salad focaccia sandwich, and the pickled carrot ciabatta sandwich. ALL OF IT SLAPPED. The people here are chill, nice, and live what they do. You can tell by the interation you have with them and the way they talk about their food. I swear I tasted the love when I bit into everything lol. The vibe here is cute, cozy, and small town kind of vibes. If you coming here for the 11 a.m. Sandwiches, make sure you show up at 10:50 cause that line can come out of nowhere. And yes the sandwiches are made with fresh baked bread. Come check this place out!!

So happy to have this wonderful bakery close by. As soon as you enter you'll want to buy one of everything because it smells so good! They're always happy to explain the details of each item and put out the most unique bakes. The bagels are delicious and baked fresh (made the mistake of toasting the first time) these babies don't need a thing but some cream cheese/butter or a sunny egg! My favorite item is the filled brioche, and the flavors are rotated quite frequently. Honorable mentions: baguette, country loaf, quiche, banana bread - excited to eventually try it all! It's a bit small inside with a few tables to dine in, but staff always keeps the line moving quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend keeping an eye on their social media where they post the bakes for that day/week.

There were two ladies working the cafe but once someone placed an order, a line of people would quickly grow. I like that you can grab a coffee and/or cocktail and a pastry. The cocktails are cute and some taste better than others but overall good. Our table needed a wipe down and I was without my Clorox wipes since I changed my bag quickly to meet up with friends. They have a few bistro tables and chairs located outside which is great on nice days and evenings. Lastly, I don't mind the pan with the sign asking patrons to discard their cups and dishes in the pan. These removes the clutter that can quickly pile up on tables.

Char & Stave is a five star cafe, if you consider the delicious craft cocktails and coffee. Love…read moretheir flavor of the week, and you can tell the curators are having fun with different flavors, herbs, and spirits. I also enjoy their coffee and treat myself to a pound of whole bean every few months. That said, their service leaves A LOT to be desired. On three different occasions recently, the service was unfriendly, slow, and borderline inhospitable. During my most recent visit, my friend arrived 10 minutes before me, sat in the bar area, and no one had even said hello to her. When I arrived, we sat for another 5-6 minutes. Nothing. Finally, I stood up and said "hi, can we order a few drinks," and the woman (who was on the phone the entire time) looked up, said nothing in response, walked over to us, and said "what can I get you?" It was a delicious cocktail, but we sat there for another 30 or so, finished our drink, and sat there again. We had to get up, put our coats on, and finally they looked our way, and I asked for the check. I've also noticed that there's usually 3-4 people working during peak hours, but in reality, only one person is putting in majority of the effort. The others are standing around talking or looking at their phones. Disappointing. Reality check, you're in the retail and customer service industry. You have to acknowledge your patrons. If this is the new norm, there are plenty of other places in the area with great cocktails. Hopefully they can turn it around, or hire new staff.
