I'm not a casual bagel lover, have lived in this area a long time and have tried just about every bagel--and used to love kismet in Ardmore and went often, racking up punches on my card. I live in Manayunk and this is my first time heading down to their new location here, and I was so excited to pull out my full punch card for a free sandwich. Unbeknownst to me, my $80+ spent on bagel sandwiches is no longer honored, with no explanation or notification online or on socials?? As long time lovers of the Kismit in Narberth, this was extremely disappointing. I ordered online and showed up at the shop about 10 minutes later. We ordered two bagels with cream cheese, super simple. When I got in and squeezed past all the other waiting customers an employee asked me my name. She told me they were out of one of the bagels I ordered and she let me pick what to swap it out for. It then took twenty more minutes of waiting in the restaurant for my two bagels. While waiting I saw almost every other customer order, wait, receive their order, and leave. I watched them scramble for the whole twenty minutes to complete orders, constantly having to ask the poor employee who was packing the orders for help. This then pushed them even further behind every time she had to stop what she was doing to help the others. Finally, I get my bagels and go home. And the order is wrong. I waited thirty minutes for two bagels with cream cheese and both the bagels are not what we asked for. The one I was able to substitute, but the second one they just gave me a plain. I'll be sticking to the Narberth location from here on out. Manayunk NEEDS to hire more employees to fulfill the demand they have. Cutting costs by having a skeleton crew is obviously costing them quality. read more

So glad that Kismet Bagels have made their entry into the Manayunk area! Pro-tip- Order ahead and skip the lines, it gets super busy in the mornings. And you can smell the fresh bagels a block away! They do have a few tables to enjoy the bagels in there. Drinks menu looked great as well. We tried the egg, cheese & shug one, a veggie one and added Latkes to the third! Really good, but I wasn't a fan on the Jalapeño Cheddar one. Next time will go with a different one. Over all super happy. They have a great spot in manayunk! read more

Wanted some brekky in Manayunk so ended up stopping in for a bagel and latkes. This location just opened recently and I've never had a kismet bagel before so wanted to try em. Staff are quite nice and ordering is quick, though the wait was a bit on the longer side. Menu has many standard bagel and sandwich options, and they have many coffee choices as well. The bagel sandwiches seemed a bit pricey so I just opted for a basic bagel. Everything bagel was tasty though a bit on the small-medium side. Decent enough with the seasoning and texture. Garlic and herb cream cheese wasn't as flavorful as I'd expected, though might've been overpowered by so much seasoning on the bagel. The latkes were also just okay, a nice little fried treat. I love how Kismet Bagels is in Manayunk. The lines were so long on the weekends. They ran out of everything by the time I came (I did come around 1pm when it was about to close). I got a coffee which had just been freshly made and was quite delicious. I really liked how they save a lot of room for cream. They also have a multitude of cream options. I also got a pumpkin bagel with the veg. The pumpkin bagel was delicious with the veggie smear with tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions. read more

Lucky enough to get a parking spot right in front of this gem in charming downtown Manayunk. Bagels were fresh and had a great crust - I enjoyed the sea salt rosemary BEC. We got another bagel with a shmear that was awesome too. The service was kind and prompt and plenty of tables to sit and enjoy. Lots of people coming and going so this place is popular for sure! Bagels have been good. They are quick. I order ahead and when I come in they quickly get me my bagel with a smile. I have had the lox which was good, but the plain bagel with butter has been good too. I thought that online when it says add latke, it would be a side-- it is not. they put it on the bagel. read more

The Jake is meant for whitefish salad lovers, but when I opened my sandwich today it was mostly a huge tomato and big chunks of onion with little to no whitefish. If you are obsessed with everything bagel seasoning, then you will LOVE these bagels! I got these via a too good to go order! Very fresh and the taste is amazing.
