We are locals and have loved this diner for years back when it was Market Street Cafe as well. Glad to see they've extended their hours but not happy with the new menu. Breakfast sandwich used to have yummy English toast bread and runny yolk...now it has subpar Texas toast with overcooked egg and undercooked bacon. Daughter had Belgian waffle that was over cooked as well. We felt the food we ordered (and the menu itself) compared to a Denny's. Really disappointed as this has been a favorite spot for us. I call this spot a hidden gem! The overall experience was great! We were able to use yelp to be placed in the waitlist. We arrived after our time window but still seated rather quickly. The service was great but the kitchen was a bit slow with a few items (the skewers and oatmeal brûlée). However the highlight of the meal was the brûlée and it did not disappoint. Despite only ordering four dishes, one was served significantly later than the other three. Out of kindness we didn't eat until we all had our meals and as a result two of our meals were eaten cold. We went based on my sister's review which was consistent with other glowing reviews. However I don't feel inspired to visit again. Food took at least half an hour to arrive and wasn't worth the wait as one other reviewer suggested. Potatoes were burnt. We had to ask for napkins and a spoon for coffee. Breakfast was great! I had the Rise and Shine skillet and it was a good sized portion and the cost was much more reasonable than the restaurant that used to have this storefront. If I could give no stars I would. This was our first time eating there and what a terrible experience. The wait time was normal as we expected, but the service and food is not worth the wait. After ordering, we waited for thirty minutes and no food. When I asked the waitress, she said they were really busy. To be honest, I think she forgot to put our order in until I mentioned something about why it was taking so long . It was the look on her face that sold her out. When the food finally came, after a forty minute wait, the two omelettes were cold. The waitress had forgotten to put the order in for our blueberry pancakes - so another twenty minute wait for those and cold on arrival. Two omelettes with little to no cheese $24, two blueberry pancakes with a few blueberries $10, one orange juice $7, yes $7 and one coffee $3 - total $47 with tax! Unbelievable. We drove to "try their vegan menu" - we were excited that there was a new option for vegan breakfast. Few suggestions...... have non dairy milk for your coffee.... the vegan "Just Egg" if you don't carry it .... let guests know up front vs 30 min after ordering..... if you use Beyond Meat for a breakfast skillet ... consider presentation.... throwing a vegan patty on top of the skillet just felt last minute.... wishing you success. read more

The best breakfast and brunch. Have been coming here for many years. From the U.K. and haven't been for three years due to covid. So pleased that it hasn't changed just gets better. Been three times in two weeks with a large group of us and the service and food excellent everytime. We have lived here for 30 years and can say we will not be coming back anytime soon . They have KIDS working the host area which were the most rude n disrespectful to us. The Young girl rolled her eyes at my husband as he asked about getting a table outside . Then as we finally followed another girl outside which i think may be a manager ( have no clue how) very rude and unprofessional and had an attitude because the table they told us was ready WAS NOT. Thanks to our wonderful server Chris helped make our experience better . He was GREAT!!! Owners!!!!! please please train your staff to be friendly to ALLLLLL Customers. Another fabulous breakfast at Downtown Diner! Mom had the steak omelet - perfectly cooked pepper (green and red) and onions. I had the Cinnamon roll waffle and O.M.G. I've never had a better waffle! Food was good, however they don't allow dogs on their outside patio. Very strange, especially in Celebration where every restaurant allows dogs outside. There's a gate to the patio so you don't have to walk your pets through the restaurant either. Love to bring my dogs with me to eat so it's disappointing we can't bring them here. read more
