Bolognese

First time we've been here. The menu was really good and different. We got the Arancini appetizer. Which is deep fried risotto balls. The house made pesto that came with them (along with marinara) was to die for. I'm usually not a huge pesto fan, but this was legit! Wish I could take some home! My husband got the Paella. He wasn't a fan of the crispy outside of the rice, and it came with chicken instead of the listed scallops. So he wasn't thrilled about that. I got the Bolognese. It was so good. Loved the noodles. How I wish it was homemade pasta. That would have made it a 10/10 but it was still great, so I'd say an 8/10. We also got a huckleberry margarita. I thought it was really good. Was a bit sweet for my husband. I definitely want to go back to try some more of the menu.

Doña Magnolia has just opened with their new and fresh menu and it is absolutely amazing. The full menu isn't available yet, but about 80% of it was! The menu has an eclectic mix of Mexican, Italian, Asian, and French flavors. The arancini has the perfect cheese ratio and the garnish of greens, marinara, and pesto was a wonderful touch. I would order a side of pesto if I could, because it's that delicious. The Rosé Pasta had a wonderful flavor fusion of garlic and marinara, topped with a perfectly blackened and juicy chicken breast. The New York Steak was PERFECTLY cooked to taste and the chimichurri on top was absolutely to die for. This broccoli and squash had the most amazing buttery flavor ever. The service was outstanding, our server was so attentive and polite. Head chef and owner(s) were checking in periodically to make sure that our food was cooked properly and to gain insights on our opinions on flavors, etc. The vibe in here is perfect for quite a few occasions. I would get lunch here with friends, date night dinner, or even just hang out at the bar. There are 2 TV's in the bar area which are super nice if you want to catch a game. Overall, I am so pumped the new owners took over this space. It is very clear that a lot of love and thought went into re-opening this lovely space and I can't wait to see it flourish. 10/10 would recommend and I think everyone needs to check out this new spot and support the new owners!

We had a big group dinner here with a set menu…read more The cocktails are lovely, I got some sort of spritz. Everything is really great but also HEAVY. On the set menu were: -Truffle Ricotta Toast -Lemon Pasta (Limone) - super lemony, pasta is obvously fresh -Vodka Pasta (All Vodka) - so cheesy and yummy -Steak - I love fatty so this was wonderful -Chicken Parm - Can't really go wrong with this one Staff were lovely. The interior of the spot is so gorgeous - I love the blue-gold color palette and the vintage decor.

The ambiance is lovely. Good wine, interesting cocktails, freshly made focaccia ( at $14/ serving…read more-it should be) salads are tasty. But this restaurant is very pricey for inconsistent food. We've been twice now- didn't love it enough the first time but wanted to give it a second chance. The lemon pasta was divine the first time- but my carbonara was unflavored paste- I literally thought I had COVID and lost the ability to taste food but everyone else's food tasted good so that theory didn't hold up. This time I ordered the lemon pasta and instead of creamy, delightful and tasty it was a little bland and watery. The waitress "fixed it " by offering me more Parmesan to thicken it. I'd added prawns- they were nice. My companion ordered the veal parm- the tomato sauce wasn't amazing and the breading was a bit heavy. He wasn't impressed and didn't finish the dish. The risotto was just OK. Again, it's very pricey for just OK. The food isn't trash but if you've had great food you don't want to pay so much for just ok. We would rather spend the money at Luna or Francaise or Wooden City. Dessert was yummy. The first time we went we arrived first seating and it looked like the AARP theater crowd, the last night we went seemed like a galantine's preview! So if you're there for the drinks, appetizers and ambiance it's quite nice. I can't endorse it whole heartedly because the entree's weren't consistently good enough to give the full 5 stars. Service was fine and we tipped accordingly. Good luck!

Extremely extremely extremely underwhelming for a $148 tab…read more The leisurely is an option where the entire table has to participate. They charge you $57 a person, and you share the meal. I felt as if our server should have told us immediately that this was a shared option, but even then to make every person pay $57 is nuts for the portion of food that you receive. We are content creator, so we happen to record every dish that we received. ( the leisurely) First thing they brought out was roasted nuts and marinated olives. (6/10). Some of the olives were hard, but the roasted nuts were pretty good. 2. My wife is allergic to shrimp so they were gonna bring out the grilled ponds but instead the chef decided to bring out brussels sprouts. (2/10). It was awful. I almost gagged legitimately, and my wife felt the same, the brussels sprouts also had a foul smell to them as if they were spoiled. - it was paired with the winter salad. In my opinion, that was the second best thing that they brought out. It was very rich in flavor, colorful as well. 3. They then brought out some pasta. Tagliatelle Pasta. This is the best thing that they brought out. The noodles were fresh and the meat choice ( roast) paired very well and it was mildly flavorful, enough to swing both ways but we'd say it swung in the right direction. I'd give it 8.5/10. 4. They then brought out steelhead trout with couscous and cauliflower with roasted carrots. - I think the audacity to give two full grown adults. A 1/3 portion of fish is quite literally disrespectful. It was so disrespectful until it just made me want to leave even more than I did whenever they brought out the brussels sprouts. The piece of fish itself was not seasoned, but it happened to pair slightly with the couscous and whatever sauce. It was quinoa actually.. (6.5/10) flavor wise. I hate really complaining about food, but this was so underwhelming.. that I may have contested the bill if my baby didn't poop out of his clothes during the visit. I will likely update this review with all of the photos once we upload the video just so everyone get an idea. ---- Overall, we would've been much happier, ordering individual dishes off the menu. I don't want to shit all over this place because I do believe it has potential, but I would not advise anyone to do the leisurely. The couple behind us actually didn't eat any of their food either and they apparently chose the same option and she was very upset so I'm glad that we weren't the only ones. I don't think we will return back to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.

The chicken was sparse and looked like frozen grilled chicken that was heated, maybe three pieces. The menu said there was carrots, celery, artichoke (one piece) and other veggies, also very sparse. The Sea Food Fettuccine had very small clams and salad type shrimp very sparse. Both entrees sauces were very tasty. The salad was great, bread was ok. The butter was very good and had rosemary in it (delicious). The menu stated to ask the waitress for dessert options, it was a celebration of our anniversary so we asked. She stated there were no desserts, but if there was one it would be chocolate lava cake or cheesecake. The dinner came with ice cream so we opted for Vanilla. To our surprise the ice cream did not come in a bowl scooped, but in a small plastic ice cream container with a spoon stuck in it. What a disappointment. $70.00 later and we were out of the restaurant. I wish we would have gone to the Olive Garden at least we would have known what we were getting for our $$. We did order one appetizer for $12.00. It felt like this business would not be in business too much longer I am sorry, but I would rather cook at home then spend $80.00 (including the tip) here.

The ambiance is very tacky to say the least. There are these tacky fake vines hanging from a very white painted fake gazebo look. It feels like a cheap patio setting. If they cleaned up the atmosphere and brought in a warmer setting it may feel more like a nice Italian restaurant. The food was ok. We've gone several times now with friends and no one had positive reviews on what they ordered. It was ok is all was said. Clean up the atmosphere, it's time. That indoor gazebo look is horribly outdated.

She remembered details from earlier in the conversation, kept the energy upbeat, and handled a small mix-up with our order with total grace and a smile. That kind of poise is rare. We had a group of eight and there was a lot of "not ready yet" which the staff handled with ease. Food came out quickly but mostly all at the same time. We had a few items that came out later but it was reasonable and expected. Ambiance is very nice, simple but elegant. You would feel comfortable coming in dressed up or casual. Let's get to the nitty gritty, the food quality was very good, taste was a knock out. The pasta and sauce was good enough that I was looking for specific tastes so I could recreate it, that's what I hope for in a restaurant! And there was fresh bread, oh how I could wax poetic about fresh bread and so few restaurants are on this very simple add. Dessert - I'm always hypercritical of crème brûle because like bread it's pretty simple ingredients but takes some care, Muzuna's nailed it. All in all you should stop in for dinner and you won't be disappointed!

We had a 6:00 reservation, bumped it to 5:30, showed up at 5:00 anyway (because of course we did), and they kindly seated us in the bar area. Cozy little spot... no complaints there. Our waitress was great. Friendly, patient, and willing to roll with my nonsense... which is saying something. I had a free birthday entrée (buy one, get one free), promptly ordered something that wasn't on the birthday menu, realized my mistake, and pivoted back to my usual Mizithra Cheese & Browned Butter. Zero regrets. It's my go-to and it absolutely delivered. I ordered the Hearty Meal, which apparently translates to "Sir, here is a mountain of pasta." I barely finished it. I absolutely should not have finished it. I finished it anyway... because I am fat and that is how I roll. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala. Her official review: "The chicken was OK." However... she loved the Mizithra pasta (a lot). She also enjoyed the Foundry Punch enough to have two, which is always a good sign. Between the two of us, we demolished about a loaf and a half of bread like it was our job. Dessert was spumoni ice cream. My wife had a little. I had mine... and then the rest of hers. Teamwork. The atmosphere was great. It was quiet, they had the playoff game on, so I got dinner and sports... win-win. Prices and value were exactly what you expect from OSF... no surprise fees, no menu gymnastics. They got very busy shortly after we arrived. When we sat down, it was us and one other couple in the bar. By the time we left, every table was full. Nothing wild happened, nothing bad happened... just a good, solid visit. Will we be back? Yep. And next time I might pretend I won't eat the entire plate... but we all know how that ends.
