They have changed the name from Brava to Alegre. First time here, and I'm not sure if there was an ownership change, but previous reviews speak highly of the couple who ran it, and it did seem there was the same Husband & Wife set up---with a nice younger waiter who took care of us. Food was fine. I tested them with a Relleño order, and he did a good job. The poblano was fresh, and that will cause a rather runny plate of food, which might horrify some, but not this guy. Lift plate, tilt and slurp all the delicious liquid, put plate down....and finish the cheesy pepper. Nice little place on Francis. I grew up working in a Mexican restaurant so I'm kind of a snob when it comes to tacos. That being said, this place was "almost" perfect! I ordered three tacos de adobada - the adobo wasn't quite hitting the mark for me but I could tell this was made with love and with experience. I think the adobo sauce it was cooked in needed more cloves, salt and a little more chile guajillo (or California chiles). The cilantro and onions were chopped by hand, and you could tell they were fresh. The pork was very tender and you could tell it wasn't sitting in a pan all day. The salsa verde was ok, maybe blended too long but it was also very yummy. The tacos also came out less than five minutes after I ordered - so fast! Asked them if their horchata was homemade or powder, the owner said powder so I skipped it. If they make it homemade in the future I'll definitely be trying it. As an LA native born to a Mexican mother.... I've got high standards for Mexican food and had trouble finding anything decent, until fiesta brava! I ordered a burrito and it was fantastic. The flavor of the meat was on point as well as all the toppings I got in it. The menu itself boasted all kinds of traditional Mexican goodies like enchiladas, mole, menudo, pozole etc. They also had a bar selling margaritas and what not. The interior is humble and feels more like a quick eatery than a restaurant but that didn't take away from the experience. I'll def be returning to try out the rest of the menu! read more

Tortillas are fresh, and the tacos really didn't require any additional salsa or hot sauce because they're so flavorful (I added anyway because I love salsa). The al pastor and chorizo are especially amazing. We were recently in Texas, where tacos rule the world. These tacos would hold their own in such a world, and they most certainly rule the known taco universe in Spokane. If you're in Spokane and haven't made your way to E. We were looking for a good little mexican place to eat while we're in town. Found this and so happy we did. First off...the place is smallish. Very clean. Easy parking. Staff was fantastic! Food was very good. Love chips and salsa & theirs didn't disappoint. We did not try their salsa verde, but the red was great. Everything tasted very fresh with quality ingredients. We tried the California burrito and a taco salad. Loved the Tomatilla sauce! A former drinking buddy once took time from her shitty life to tell me on Facebook how I'm going to "turn into a taco". Well, ever since that day, every time I visit a Taqueria I make it a point to tag them in my taco pics. I had just landed in Spokane and was starving' Marvin! I told my wife I wanted tacos and Taqueria Fiesta Brava was a 4.5 and holding. Obviously I had to stop in! These tacos were dead ass perfect. Two corn tortillas, meat, onion, and topped with delicious cilantro! Lime wedges on standby, shiiiiiiit, perfection. I had two barbacoa and two cabeza and the wife went nuts and ordered this absolute unit of a burrito smothered in cheese and sauce. She only made it through half of it! Swing in for taco Tuesday, got eight tacos, chips and salsa, and tried out their spicy habanero salsa. The tacos were full of meat and the extra falling out was just scooped up with the tortilla chips that came with the meal. Habanero salsa packed some delicious heat and all of it for just over $12 and tax. Our server was on top of our table, efficient in getting drink orders, and returning with orders promptly! Remained pleasant throughout the entire evening! The food was good, served hot. Since we are from Southern California we are super picky when it comes to Mexican food and this place delivered! It totally hit the spot when we'd been traveling so much up in the northern states and wanted some good ol Mexican food. The street tacos (they call them regular tacos here) are delicious! The al pastor with the grilled onions is super flavorful and the carnitas was crispy yet moist and it even tasted a bit smoky - it was delicious! A sign on the outside says masks are required and all the staff were wearing them too which I appreciate keeping us safe during Covid-19. The restaurant was clean and everyone loved their food! The only thing to warn you about is if you are looking for some Mexican food en route to the Spokane airport (like we were) this restaurant is about 25 minutes off the freeway (12-13min there then 12-13min back since the main road is under construction so it's down to one lane - once construction is does it'll be way faster)...However for us the extra drive time was totally worth it since the food was delicious, the restaurant was clean and it tasted just like we can get in LA or San Diego. read more

we went in for taco Tues and were rewarded with great tacos! Why 3 stars? So I decided to try a sope. It was terrible. The tortilla is supposed to be a thick soft pillowy tasty support for the toppings. It was exactly the opposite. I couldn't even cut thru the edges with the totally worthless knife I was given. I should have known there would be a problem when I was given a knife. I guess, in short, maybe steer clear of the sope. We were also over charged by almost $5. They did correct it and I still left them that $5 for a tip. read more

Popped in for some tacos at my friend's multiple recommendations. I live a few minutes drive away and I will definitely be back. They do a lot of the simple, important things right that others skip for time/convenience. The tortillas were nicely grilled and had a perfect, soft yet sturdy texture and weren't falling apart as I ate them. They tasted great too, so no dirty grill problems here. I know it's not a huge deal, but I also appreciated the fact that the limes were fresh cut and perfectly green. I order a lot of Cuba Libres and gross, old limes are an issue for me. Try both salsas, I liked them about the same honestly. Neither was spicy by my standards and that's fine with me. The salsa that came with my chips definitely had some bite to it. The chips were great, tasted fresh, and were hot out of clean oil. Of the meats, the chicken was fine but nothing exciting. The asada was great and I will absolutely order it again. The al pastor was the star for me! It was just so well seasoned and the smell hit immediately after I opened the box, so it was the first I ate. It's also the one I keep thinking about. Meat portions are not skimpy here, they definitely fill your whole tortilla. The place has a friendly, casual atmosphere. It's perfect for a casual date or lunch spot. It's a bit warm if it's hot outside but I can't fault them for that. They do have margaritas and beer, so that definitely helps! Staff seems like good people and I look forward to seeing them soon. read more

Guys, let me just say this, fish tacos with TARTAR SAUCE???? Being half Mexican and from Southern California, I couldn't believe this! Also, the fish tacos weren't even breaded, they were grilled.
