absolutely the WORST privately owned DAIRY QUEEN in Delaware. DO NOT GO HERE. They are super unfriendly and they will not help you if you have problems with your mobile APP. HA! It is so sad we have to say this on national cheeseburger day. They were supposed to give you a free cheeseburger today with a supposed 1 dollar purchase. Well there is no item that is 1 dollar on their menu on their app. Even worse if the app malfunctions which it did. We are one of three people the app worked for one persone easily. For a second person it took literally 16-20 minutes to get it to work but lastly the third person it had this weird thing where it refused to give youi the free burger, So we were nice we called and a nice high school woman said she would help us. So we drove there... 16 min and when we got there well NO ONE would help us. And even the manager refused to help. And even worse... they refused to give us the 866 number you could call The toll-free number to call Dairy Queen customer service is (866) 793-7582. This number is the most commonly used contact point for customers, with 90% of users calling this line to address their issues. The customer service team is available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM Central Time and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 6 PM Central Time. THE WORST SERIVICE EVER. and they watched us flail for about 1 hour. It shoudl not take an hour of complaining to get help. And I regiustered many complaints. So far no one has called me back! So forget email or mobile app messaging. USE THE number I providede above. The store won';t give it to you. hahaha. This is the worse Dairy Queen I've ever been too! The staff is unprofessional and rude and the manager/owner doesn't seem to care. My mom ordered a Hawaiian blizzard and 1.) we didn't get it until 25 minutes later, by this time it was melted 2.) the staff member couldn't turn it upside down due to it being really melted and 3.) the staff was very rude to us when we went in there and asked were our order was when we waited 25 minutes and other people who ordered after us received theirs. So, I emailed them with my complaint and they never got back to me. This DQ has been in Lewes forever. And as such, is a reliable place to get soft-serve in countless runny forms from cones to splits. Blizzards are probably the best thing on the menu -- but a Peanut Buster Parfait (vanilla soft serve, hot fudge, peanuts) often hits the spot with only an occasional regret later. King's Ice Cream, located on 2nd Street in Lewes, is of higher quality. But sometimes you just need DQ. Good place to bring the kids, and maybe your mother-in-law. The first time I came here the food was exceptional. Today I was thoroughly disappointed. I received the completely wrong order and I was already a mile down the road so figured what the heck just eat it. Take a bite and mustard flowed out due to the excess they had on there. My guy gets a burger with a whole half of an onion on it. Fry bucket was half way full and then I ordered two blizzards. After two people receiving theirs before me and the same exact blizzards I get mine with ice cream pouring over the sides because it was already melting and she obviously knew because when she delivered it to me she didn't do it upside down as she should have. This Dairy Queen is pretty much what you would expect from a chain restaurant. During the day, you don't have to wait that long. But at night is when the party really gets started. I would say an average night would take about 30 to receive your food. The service was pretty good for a fast food restaurant. The entire place was spotless. My husband and I grabbed some ice cream from this location as a evening snack. They have standards setup for social distancing and as long as the customers follow directions it is a good practice. There are signs and buckets setup inside to show the 6 ft rule and they have signs posted about mandatory mask wearing for anyone over 12 years of age. The ice cream was great and the service was quick. We appreciated that this location stayed open late and that helped us grab ice cream around 9 pm. read more

Good location and frequently very crowded. Only one register and usually lines that snake through the restaurant and our the door and around the building. Ice cream and blizzards were our primary target, but some members of our party got food and it looked pretty good. Prices were reasonable for our yummy sweet treat. Overall the food was great but the facility was sub-par. The ice cream great adn they go our order correct adn it was large order. The staff was good and efficient and seemed to have a good system so the process was very clear. The facility however was dirty and crowded. There also didn't seem to be any air conditioning 4to it was hot and sticky in there. There is no seating in the biulding or on the surrounding curb. Poor setup to protect customers. People coming and going out the same door, social distancing not being adhered to, some people not wearing masks. The staff wore masks and gloves and were doing their best without much success to make people social distance. Owners/Management at fault here with several options to make things safer for their customers. They could have remodeled one of the windows to be an outdoor pickup window, have people entering one door and exiting the other, implemented outdoor iPad app ordering where people stayed in their vehicles and order was brought out by a runner etc...but decided to do the bare minimum and leave it up to people to follow the rules. Would not give one star if option was available. 4 of July weekend 2016 I called Dairy Queen to confirm their business hours. Loaded car with friends and family rushed and arrived 10 before closing. As we pulled into the parking an employee locked the door. I called from the parking lot and was told "sorry the machines are off for the night. " Unsatisfactory customer service. My family and I have been coming to this Dairy Queen for years when we hit the beach. Last Wednesday (7/6) we went and ordered three orders of chicken tenders, and a plain cheeseburger. I pick up my food and take it to the car to eat since they have no seating and opened the bread that comes with the chicken and it had mold on it. I took the bread back and asked for more and when the young cook (teenage boy) gave me new bread he told me with an attitude that was not mold but butter. I took the new bread outside and opened it and guess what, more mold on it. Just threw it away. So I finally get ready to eat my burger and opened it up and it had everything on it (honest mistake) instead of plain. I took that back and I was given another attitude and I could see the two cooks smiling and laughing as they prepared a new burger for me. This burger was def messed with. Now the girls taking the orders were nice but I am not happy with the cooks. Needless to say they lost a customer after many years. read more

I brought a DQ gift card to this location and was told there was 0 amount on the card. The lady went on to say that has happened to her before and the card was probably bought at "Walmart". I paid cash for my order and went back to work telling others that they might have an issue with their gift card, as well. We decided to call the number on the back of the card and was told there was a $15.00 balance. I called the restaurant and told "Chantell" there is a $15.00 balance on the card she had indicated to toss out. She said "must be our system today". Never did she apologize or never had she suggested to call the number to verify the funds. It was a done deal to toss the card in the trash, according to her. If this happens to you, ask for a manager. If Chantell is a manager, she needs to be re-educated. read more

This used to be a great place to stop by for good soft ice cream, but recently has turned into a bait-and-switch place. I went in tonight to get a large sundae listed at $3 on the overcounter sign. I was charged $3.15 and brought it to the attention of the employee. The answer was, "Oh, that was last year's price." Another employee (who had just finished making the sundae) chimed in with "Don't you want it?" as she was getting ready to dump it. I'm not complaining about the raise in price.....just the way that it was presented...and I'm wondering what else has a price different from the displayed price. read more
