I ordered the mini-monkey bread (pictured), essentially a biscuit dappled with cinnamon sugar streusel. I didn't love it; I thought it tasted too salty. Still, I finished it so it couldn't have been that bad! I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (eggs, chiles, cheese, onions, drizzled with avocado cream and served with red salsa), which was very good. Harumy checked on me, and brought the check promptly. You pay at the counter, not directly to the server. I would have given 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't enable this, so I rounded up to 5 stars. Definitely give Bluebird Cafe a try!

I had to ask the hostess to ask our waitress to bring our drinks because we never saw our waitress again after placing our order. She brought the waters and 1 minute later our food arrived lukewarm. The potatoes were not cooked. We were never checked on again. Then the check came, but the extra bacon I ordered "to go" had not arrived. So she went to get that. We paid at the front with the hostess. It was an extra $5 for 2 pieces of bacon. $2.50 per slice. Is that inflation or price gouging? This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip. I'm usually a really good tipper. And I feel bad about it, but I also want to be taken care of in order to give a tip for good service. This was not good service and the food was mediocre. Would not return.

The atmosphere is another highlight calm , cozy, and inviting with the feel of a comfortable home-style breakfast setting. For our meal I ordered the chicken fried chicken with gravy, scrambled eggs and potatoes while my spouse had a BLT with potatoes. The scrambled eggs and potatoes were well prepared and enjoyable and my spouse was satisfied with their dish except how her lettuce and tomatoes were soggy. Unfortunately the chicken fried chicken was undercooked. At the time I didn't immediately realize this as the texture seemed soft due to the gravy. It wasn't until later that I recognized the issue and I ended up feeling unwell after the meal. This was very disappointing and ultimately impacted my overall experience. While the service and ambiance were strong positives the food safety concern is significant. I hope the restaurant takes extra care in the kitchen moving forward.

We've had nutella crepes, chicken fried steak, breakfast burrito (which is massive!) and a special of the day - strawberry cheesecake waffle. All the ingredients come together perfectly and melts in your mouth! The one thing you HAVE to get is the cinnamon roll. Eat it while it's hot and gooey, you won't regret it! Alyssa was the first to know my name and my order. I've also had the pleasure of getting to know Micheala, Taylor, Danika, and Aline. In no particular order, all of these servers have gone above and beyond. It's gratifying to walk in and feel recognized. You are welcomed here and can trust that you will be taken care of. What complements this talented team is supportive and productive leadership. I've met one of the managers, Peter, who always shakes my hand. When there was a problem with my order, another manager, Taylor Risco, swiftly and efficiently resolved the issue. The cherry on top was that Taylor Risco probably overcompensated me for what was honestly a very minor inconvenience. Together, the team here continuously demonstrates altruism, respect, and genuine care for their customers. For context, my day job is working at a brunch diner in Denver.
