It was a beautiful day here in the Burgh so we decided to get some ice cream after finishing a few errands. We don't live near a DQ so we decided to stop by this location since we were in the neighborhood. It was busy, it looked clean, what could possibly go wrong? Y'all. Y'all. If you haven't looked at my picture, please do now. Let's talk about this "blizzard," which should be a crime against everything the blizzard is and has stood for! I've been getting Oreo blizzards all my life, and this was the worst one. Do you see Oreo? Probably not, because I had the equivalent of ONE in this entire cup. It was nothing but Oreo dust and particles with maybe 3-4 minor chunks just to say there was in fact an Oreo used. The funny part is that the employee did the upside down cup test. For what?! FOR WHAT?! You didn't blend anything! I'm laughing now; yesterday not so much when I was basically eating blended vanilla ice cream. We arrived with 4 teens working with basically no instruction. They were overwhelmed with orders and had no apparent supervisor. 1 person was walking around "stocking" already full containers of items while the other 3 were overwhelmed between a rush of in-store customers and online orders. We bought a cake for a cookout and multiple individual items. When noticed numerous people who ordered after us start to get orders we asked where ours were and it was cleared out of their order screen without being fulfilled. The lobby was warm which isn't ideal for serving ice cream as items were melting so fast. The lobby was full of cameras for some reason. I love DQ but will never come to this location again. read more

This DQ sucks. I don't know why we continue to let ourselves be disappointed -we've lived nearby for 5 years and it's never changed. The employees are either 17 year old kids who's parents made them get jobs or middle aged women that think they're better than you. Regardless, personality is lacking beyond that you, the customer, are clearly bothering them by entering. Last summer I recall 2x them being closed when we went within 30 min of their posted closing time. Today I got a blizzard with no more than 6 animal crackers in it -it was basically vanilla ice cream. No wonder the line at Rita's is longer. read more

Had a pretty bad experience here tonight. The hours on Yelp and Google say they close at 9:45. We walked in at 9:30, and you could immediately tell the two guys working wanted to get us out as quickly as possible. I'd understand the frustration had we knowingly walked in right at closing, but the hours posted online say otherwise. One of them stood by the door, locked it, and basically escorted us out while relocking the door. Then as we ate our ice cream outside they proceeded to let several groups of their girlfriends in, while blatantly turning others away. I haven't encountered such rude, immature employees like this in a very long time. I definitely understand the feeling of wanting to be done with work on a Friday night - but there's no excuse to make people feel completely unwelcome. I will gladly take my money elsewhere to another small business with employees who are always kind and willing to help. Perhaps consider correcting the hours so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

We've been to this location multiple times and the woman working is never friendly, but she seemed especially miserable this afternoon. We felt like an inconvenience when ordering and waiting for our blizzards. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake blizzard, it was good but would have been much better if it were actually blended. The strawberry was all in the middle section, so before I got to that part I thought she forgot the strawberries or didn't put many in. read more

The worst experience I have EVER HAD.My fiancé and I placed our order at 7:21pm. There were other customers that came in after us that had gotten their order immediately. Honestly it felt targeted considering we were the only 2 African Americans in the establishment. Our orders remained on the screen and it wasn't until 7:35 after everyone else including people that came after us had received their order that we had gotten ours. If it wasn't for my fiancé addressing the issue we probably would have been waiting longer. read more

I'm EXTREMELY disappointed. Don't get me wrong the ice cream is fine.... but the service was very bad. The website and door say they close at 10. We walked in at 9:30 and were immediately bombarded with the workers saying that they wanted to leave. We were told to hurry up and order or get nothing. At this point they had put all the cash away so we could only pay with card in attempt to drive us away. The experience alone would have been uncomfortable thankfully I was with friends. Very friendly staff, clean environment. Great for kids and families all of their equipment was pretty clean their ice creams and cakes are absolutely fantastic. Definitely a perfect place for you, your kids to cool down on a sunny hot day. read more

They close earlier than posted times on a Friday night. Who does that? Is that a Pittsburgh thing? My location at home never does this.

This Dairy Queen always gets it right our blizzards, sundaes, and cones always good. The cashiers and employees are polite and it's always clean inside when we go in. This Dairy Queen stays open pretty late and all year around which is a plus to. read more

It's a beautiful warm pre spring day and nothing sounds better than a DQ blizzard. I passed up dessert at the Iron Bridge for this blizzard. I had never been to this particular DQ, but I figure they are all the same. Boy was I wrong. The service was quick and friendly, but my blizzard was a cup of chocolate ice cream. I couldn't find my peanut butter cups anywhere. With great disappointment, I threw it away. I stopped here with my family last night for blizzards. They have a buy one, get one $0.99 so we really couldn't resist. We ordered the butterfinger, strawberry cheesquake and banana split. They were made perfect and blended well. The guy at the counter didn't seem irritated when we asked him what was in a few of the blizzard options and everyone behind the counter seemed really nice, smiling. The line was LONG as this is not one of the larger stores but they had a system of ordering on one side and waiting for your order on the other so it worked out fine and moved fairly quickly. I usually love Dairy Queen. This time, however, the ice cream in their blizzards was not the same. It tasted as if they mixed crushed ice and skim milk with whatever candy you picked. Very bland and rather disappointing to be honest. I would have preferred going to market district, getting a tub of ice cream, a candy bar, and mixing it all together myself. As far as DQ's go this one is pretty nifty. Brand new facilities with a friendly staff means you can expect clean bathrooms, clean facilities, and awesome ice cream. They staff is relatively young, so there's a certain space cadet-ness quality to the service, nonetheless, it gets the job done. read more

My fiancé and I went to this establishment with a coupon for a buy one get one free blizzard for her birthday. Management said that they would not accept it. They stated that the coupon needed to be printed even though nowhere on the emailed coupon did it state that the coupon needed to be printed. Happy birthday to her! Suck a fart DQ, suck a big wet fart! You should close this establishment and fire every manager that works there. I'd give this place zero stars but yelp requires at least one. read more

This is the cleanest Dairy Queen I have ever visited. The staff is very friendly and nice. Terri is the manager and offers the best customer service every time I am in this store. She took over this diary queen over a year ago and it has improved so much since. I will always stop here when I'm in the area for delicious ice cream! read more
