Please do not go here for vehicle repairs. The owner Richard, is very unresponsive when it comes to communication. He told me he could do my repair, only for me to wait 3 weeks to hear back from him. Within those 3 weeks, I got my vehicle repaired elsewhere. Ended up needing an oil change, and Richard refused accommodating service to me because I got my vehicle repaired somewhere else. A new transmission so since it was under warranty from where i purchased it I had it picked up and they are now fixing the problem. Richard is the man. He works on both my newer Volkswagen, as well as my beat up 93 carolla. No matter the job, he can do it. He's very good at diagnosing the problem of the car and laying out your options. His prices are very fair. He's not looking to rip you off like most mechanics. You can tell he has a passion for cars. Sometime we end up talking about cars the whole time he does the work. I would recommend his shop for complex electrical or routine work in general. My newer car has had sensor and electrical issues. No prob for Richard. My old car has had oil leaks and suspension issues. Still no match for him. It's always great to have a reliable mechanic. All of the positive reviews about this shop and Richard were spot on. I called for an estimate on brakes and Richard called me right back, texted the info as he said he would, and fit me in same day. When an issue came up that wasn't expected he took video of the issue as he explained why it needed to be fixed and sent it to me. He fixed it and only charged additional for the parts and no additional labor. He even apologized to ME for it being broken although it was no fault of his. Customer service was excellent. This review is well overdue. Richard and his team have been working on my cars since 2016. Acura MDX and BMW 5 series. I was extremely impressed on one occasion when Richard fixed a wiring problem related to the Active Steering rack on my BMW, other shops would have recommended a new one which costs almost 2k. He also installed suspension Coil Overs on my Acura MDX Equipped with the Dynamic Suspension, The OEM Replacement would have cost me a cool 4K at the Stealership, I ain't got that kind of Mulla. My 2000 Audi A6 was overheating. I called around and couldn't get anyone to look at the car. I took the car to Dr. Auto Service and got it looked at. Richard (the owner) looked at the car and it took him about 10 minutes to figure out the problem. He fix the issue in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable amount of money. I took my car here because a friend had recommended him from a few years ago. Biggest mistake of my life! Over the phone, he quoted me $100. I showed him all I had and told him exactly what needed to be done. I do my own car's work all the time, but didn't have the time or tools to do this particular job. When I brought the car to the shop, he confirmed it's a $100 job. He then contacts me a few days later saying it's $240. I asked why, and he said the parts don't fit well. So in order to do the job right, he needs $240. He had already cut out my parts and it was irreversible, so I had no choice but to accept. Being that I am very good at cars, I went to pick up the car and noticed he did NOTHING that warranted the $240 that he had mentioned. He said the extra work was costing more. But he did no extra work. Most of my old parts were still on the car. He's a scammer. Don't waste your time and money. Go for the guy who will quote you $20 more and will only charge you that much and does a decent job. His work ethic is terrible. He has no integrity. And worst of all, he thought he could scam me; even though I told him I've been working on my cars since I was a little kid. read more

Don't let the sketchy-looking digs deter you: Richard is the best! When I needed new brake pads, he did it at a FRACTION of the price of any other company. He also spotted that my a/c compressor belt was starting to fall apart and replaced it for barely anything...then when a couple months later the belt started squeaking, he worked me in last minute to get it replaced for no extra cost. Richard is AMAZING!! When you have a Boss like mine, your schedule changes in seconds. I had to cancel my original appointment, and reschedule. Richard said "No problem. Let's see what we can do". I rescheduled for a week later. He rearranged HIS appointments, to accommodate my schedule, no questions. I was on a REALLY tight timeline, and he had me in and out, in UNDER 90 minutes. My brakes are working beautifully!! I had to drive to Ft. Knox, and the mountains between here demand your brakes be in tip top condition, and mine were. He also recharged my a/c...for FREE!
