I had the Wisconsin Brat and fries. The Brat was soooooo good but the fries suck. Well if you like the soggy and cut fries thing...you'll love them. The fries were really greasy and we're not good at all. But the Brat made up for it. The customer service was really good and that's very important to me. I didn't like the fact that the burgers are a'lacarte. Every topping costs extra lol. But I'd go back for the Brat. read more

Best cheese fries in the city. Italian beef is right up there as well. I would highly recommend this combination for lunch or dinner.

Am I nuts? I traveled over 20 miles for the purpose of putting down Dr Dawg's famous "Dr Dawg" jumbo hot dog. No, I'm not crazy, it was well worth it. It's always worth it. My Dr Dawg was the juiciest dog I've ever eaten, served on a fresh poppy seed bun, and covered in those delicious fresh cut French fries. I've had other hot dogs, even other jumbo franks, but absolutely nothing compares to the "Dr Dawg". You guy's keep doing what you're doing, and I'll keep making the trip out there. The Chicago style dog was very good and the fries were tasty. Maybe I have a different taste in burgers than most...I just thought it was okay to have again, but I'm not going to be craving a burger here. We ordered to go and the food was up pretty quick, 5-7 minutes. Person at the counter was very nice, brought our food even though they could've just told us it was ready. I've been once and the food is fantastic. Fresh, quality ingredients. One of the best hot dogs I've ever had. Great fries, crunchy but with real potato flavor. I also have to rave about their customer service. My son and his wife who live in Glendale are doing my husband and me a big favor this weekend. I wanted to treat them to Dr. Dawg as a thank you but didn't know how I could accomplish that from 160 miles away. I emailed Dr. Dawg and Katie (she is one of the owners) responded with a suggestion on how we could do it. She is fantastic! Customer service of this caliber is so rare. And when you have it at the top it trickles down to all employees. We have other family members in Milwaukee and the area, too, and they all love Dr. Dawg. read more

Dr. Dawg has become my go-to place when I am looking for tasty eats in the North Shore area. Easily serving some of the tastiest chili cheese dogs I have had (with a great no-bean chili!), the french fries are some of the best I have tasted! The atmosphere is good, the employees are typically very friendly and when the boss is in (who my friends refer to as The Doctor), it's pretty likely he'll be the one bringing you your food. One of the first times Karla and I were up in Milwaukee, Dr. Dawg was just across the street from our hotel. We were out walking around, hoping to find a place to grab dinner, and we lucked into this place. I started with some chili cheese fries - so good. You know it's good when you've still got some chili and cheese when you're done with the actual fries. I can't remember the name of the dawg I had, but it was half Chicago-style, half sausage, a foot long and delicious! My daughter loves the mini hotdogs and fries. I especially enjoy their giant monster cookie. (It made for a great breakfast.)
