Stopped in before grocery shopping because we were hangry. It was yummy, pretty simple but hit the spot. The service was quick and very spacious inside.

The food was a little better than what I expected. Still only been in once though because it was nothing fabulous.

Dr Dawg still offers some of the best hot dogs and sandwiches in the Milwaukee area. Several options for hot dogs including Chicago style, chili cheese, slaw dog and corn dogs to name a few. Great char grilled burgers are also on the menu along with hand cut fries. I do wish they would put 2 slices of cheese on a " Double" cheeseburger though. They also have "Pups. Little 3" varieties of their hot dogs. Prices are fair. Counter service to order then your food is brought to your table. My only gripe is I have to drive all the way to Glendale to enjoy.

I just moved here from Chicago, so I had to make sure there was a decent hot dog stand. In the Milwaukee area. No offense to Portillo's, but I like my dogs charred. The bun was a little stale, and the fries were covered in oil, and a little on the soggy side because of it. However, I have had a lot worse even in the Chicago area, many of which don't even have the correct fries, and some won't char the dog. I will definitely be back the next time I have a hankering for a hot dog and fries. They even brought my food out to the patio, and let me order over the phone, since I had my dog with me!

They have a VARIETY of hot dogs on the menu along with burgers and chicken options as well for a pretty reasonable price. the burger was very good and loved the barbecue sauce they have. The hot dogs were very good, nothing mind blowing Staff was super friendly!!

Sometimes you crave a Chicago hot dog and this is the place for it. While they have many other options, the Chicago hot dog is delicious. They also have vegan ones for those who don't eat meat. If you are super hungry, you can order a foot long Chicago style. You can either dine in or order on line during a workday. This time I ordered on line as I was on tight meeting schedule. Dining in is also fun, the place is clean and nicely laid out. Sometimes they also have music. If you go in a group, you can order the rosemary fries (too much for one person) to go with. They are delicious. Prices are reasonable and service is fine. Again, ordering ahead on a workday is a good idea.

Love the Italian beef. We had them cater a party with Italian beef for 15 people, and it was great. I also like the Chicago dogs.

Date of visit: July 2, 2026…read more I came here with a friend after her daughter raved about it and it was overall a nice meal. The restaurant is slightly awkward in its layout, with a small dining area and a bar in the front plus a larger dining area in the rear. We were promptly greeted by the bartender and given a larger than necessary table--though it did let us spread out a bit so I wasn't too worried about it. We could not see how busy the rest of the restaurant was but we imagined it was fairly steady given the wait. Since we had not seen each other in a while the time passed easily and we didn't mind the wait. Staff was all nice and friendly and ensured that our water glasses were kept full. My Kickin' Bourbon Burger was pretty good, though the tots on the side were a bit underwhelming in terms of portion. Meanwhile my friend's portion of chips was taking over her plate and we were both looking for a bit more moderation in our side items! If you wanted something spicy, this is not the one! That was good for me but may not be what you were looking for. I thought it odd that I wasn't asked for what temperature I wanted my burger and probably would have appreciated it a tad less done than what I received, but overall it was a pretty decent burger. The bourbon sauce was tangy without being too sharp and the pretzel bun was good, if a bit manhandled in appearance.

I found myself looking for a Friday fish fry close to Germantown so that I could be back by 6:30pm…read more After looking through my bookmarks of places I hadn't been to yet, Crave Bar & Food's pictures intrigued me the most. In addition to the beer battered walleye with potato pancakes I got beer batter cheese curds and a dozen wings. Happy hour is 2pm to 5pm Monday through Friday and, along with having drink specials, select appetizers are $7 each. The cheese curds, which are huge and come as an order of nine, are one of those select apps. The batter didn't have much beer taste and the shredded Parmesan on top seemed unnecessary, but for $7 they were a steal and even at the regular price of $10.50 they're an excellent value. The old pictures I saw of their wings made them look like they were coated in a rub even though the menu didn't state it. Just to be safe, so I could taste the rub if there was one, I got half the wings without sauce and half with honey BBQ. There didn't end up being a rub on the wings, but the sauceless ones were still great. The honey BBQ was bold tasting, yet didn't overpower the flavor of the chicken. Although I enjoyed the wings, $18 for a dozen is on the very high end of what I would pay, especially since they were average sized and not jumbo. The amount of food on the walleye plate blew me away. Even if they gave me just one of the two large walleye fillets, I feel like that would have been about fair for the price. The two huge fillets made it feel like I hit the fish fry jackpot. Similar to the cheese curds, I didn't taste any beer in the batter, but the fillets were good regardless. I prefer potato pancakes that are thin and crispy, but their thicker potato pancakes were great even with largely being soft due to their thickness. I liked the herbs in the potato pancakes and was a big fan of the cinnamon applesauce compared to plain applesauce most other restaurants provide. Throughout dinner I heard some of the hostesses and waitresses stressing about reservations and having enough tables. Apparently I got lucky that a table was available right away when I got there at 4:30pm. I guess call to make a reservation if you plan on coming on a Friday night.

One kid ordered a BBQ chicken wrap without the BBQ sauce or tomatoes and got fries for the side, my wife and other kid split a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza, and I got a Caesar chicken wrap with sour cream cheddar cheese tater tots for my side. We also got mozzarella sticks and wings with a sweet and sassy BBQ sauce. The mozzarella sticks were Italian breaded, which I like. They tasted good, but $9.50 for seven sticks that are on the smaller side is a bit much. The wings, however, were great. Decent size and you get 10 of them for $12. The older kid that didn't want BBQ sauce in his wrap ended up enjoying two of the wings, which has a subtle kick to the sauce. We'd get these again. The pizza had a little too much sauce, but it wasn't hard for my wife to scrape off some of it. She and the younger kid both like the pizza, which is good because the younger one can be quite picky at times. Both the older kid and I enjoyed our wraps. I thought mine in particular had a good amount of really crunchy chicken. He liked his fries even though I thought the one I tried was a little bland. I appreciate that the tots seemed homemade, but I really didn't taste the cheddar or the chive, so I probably wouldn't get those again for the $5 up charge.
