I wonder if they are able to remove the bad reviews. I wrote how they wanted to do unnecessary work and going to charge me $3700 (after insurance). I got a second opinion and found I actually needed one crown that wasn't even found by Modern Dentistry. And that was all, $550. I have been going to Modern Dentistry for 8 years. I will not go back. Month later I was logged in to my 2nd insurance and found out they billed. First of all that is not right and I am not even sure if it is legal. The biggest slap in the face is now I am trying to get my xrays so I can go to Mexico to get my dental work and what I get from the customer service clerk is I am busy I will get to it when I can. Do not do business with this company! I wish I hadn't but now I am stuck trying to get my xrays from them since my insurance wont pay for another set of xrays.

Finally, Dr. Bloom (our pediatric dentist, who owes his bulging bank account to my kids' crappy brushing techniques and stubborn resistance to ever floss) delivered the inevitable, wallet deflating news - braces were necessary. I selected Dr. Kawakami, blindly, no preferences were given from Bloom, who remains annoyingly, politically indifferent during such discussions. So, left to my own decision making devices, I chose Kawakami based on the consonant cadence of his name. The first time we met Dr. Kawakami, it was Friday, just before Halloween. The entire office staff, including Dr. K were festively attired in costumes, and not on a phoning-it-in level, either. Much to my sci-fi son's delight, Dr. K was Star Trek's Spock and easily indulged him w/ Spock-isms. We were putty in his hands after that initial interaction. Dr. K is a kind, conscientious person. He gently mapped out treatment option and easily shared his experienced opinions. The grand total for the multiple tactics necessary to correct my son's problems came to $4000, of which our insurance covered $1000 - yeah, our insurance suuuucks! Dr. K's office offers a generous 10% discount for cash payment in full, so that brought it down to $2700. That includes all of the x-rays, maintenance visits, wax, etc... Dr. K's staff is really friendly, happy, even. I actually buy that they like working there. His receptionists are not time Nazi's, meaning, when we happen to run late - ok, I admit to an uncontrollable, genetic predisposition that unintentionally results in arriving a few minutes late, yes, people hate me for it, but, I digress - they don't give us the evil eye, making us feel even guiltier, like every other desk jockey does. My son's brace technician is Cheryl, he really likes her, considers her a friend, and barely complains even when she has to crank up the wire tension. Tanner's teeth are well on their way to becoming one of his best assets, thanks to Dr. K and his staff. They have made an expensive and tedious process sail by smoothly.

I heard about Dr. Moreno from my dad. He spoke very highly of him and his office so I went with him. Now don't get me wrong, going to an orthodontist office in a different country was a bit nerve wracking for me. I live in Arizona so it wasn't a bad drive at all, just about an hour or so away and the walk across the border was just a small 5 minute walk. It was actually very exciting my first time going I was able to see the uniqueness of Mexico. The second you step into this office though it was like I stepped right back into one of the orthodontist offices in Tucson. The place is spotless, and I mean so clean you can see your reflection on the marble walls. It was so fancy as well with marble everywhere and flat screen TVs, the kids area has an array of tablets set to a counter with chairs and a bunch of games on them. The couches are comfortable with plenty of magazines also in English for some. He lady at the desk was very welcoming and spoke good English. And they have a neat set up where you walk up to a computer to check yourself in. The doctor did a consult with me and he was very professional and paid very close attention to detail from my X-rays. He explained to me all of his plans for how to get my teeth to look the best. He had very neat graphics on his computer that showed how my teeth would move. He even fixed he proportions of my jaw with small comfortable titanium screws. (I didn't even know that was possible). The staff was all so nice even the ones who couldn't speak much English were very patient with me and very nice. The big room where the doctor works on your teeth is very comfortable and he talks to you the whole time ensuring you are comfortable. I do recommend going as early as possible if you have to cross the border just because the line to cross the border back to Tucson is very short in the mornings on weekdays. I almost forgot to mention how great his prices are, very affordable monthly payments! And much less expensive than Tucson. I love my smile and get compliments on it all the time I couldn't have gone to a better orthodontist. He gets all of my recommendations!

The staff from front desk to Dentists themselves are all very professional, respect, polite, I have never had a bad experience. They are just over the US/ Mexico border, a 5 to n from q10 minute walk from parking in Nogales, AZ to the clinic. They have all the modern dental equipment, more so than my dentist in Willcox, AZ. I've been having my teeth straightened with the clear invisible braces, and after my teeth are straightened I will have 2 implants to replace 2 missing teeth. Several years of work, but well worth the savings.

Dental Laser Nogales, Customer Care Specialist On May 22nd Dr Sanchez was unwilling to complete this form telling me that this can only be done by a specialist. I spoke to the office manager Jose and he told me all specialists were busy. Dr Sanchez agreed that I have no infections but wasn't comfortable checking the "no" box on the form. (!!??) Dental Laser is not confident enough to stand by their dental evaluations. I would not had make a trip to Nogales from Tucson if Dental Laser was honest when I asked about having this form completed. Dental Laser should have just stated we cannot complete the form instead of leading me on. Now I had to spend $100 to see another dentist in Tucson and take time off work. During this visit the Tucson dentist found a cavity (which Dental Laser MISSED) so total cost $400. Dental laser should pay this amount but I know that Dental Laser DOES NOT DO THE RIGHT THING. The office is clean and modern, uses sterile, disposable tools, and high pressure water, ultrasonic scaling for cleaning teeth. The panoramic x-ray machine does 360° images with you just standing still in one place. Agree with everything the first poster described. Pricing is very reasonable, bring cash and either USD or pesos accepted. They will also work with you on payments and give written estimates upon request for extensive work like implants and dentures.

Yet told the admin staff when making that first appointment I could bring it if needed. Dentist was rude since I sat in to witness wife's exam and statements made to her. I then told the dentist, "I always come to witness because our experience with the medical community here in Green Valley has been to 'upsell' my wife on treatments, tests, etc., that are not warranted based on current tests and evidence today. We even discovered 'PILL MILL' physicians, obviously taking advantage of senior's to get more medicare $$$ out of their patients." You can guess how well that went over with the dentist as I watched her basically bite back any kind of response. Dentist TODAY: 6/4/2025 Tried to make an appointment for my wife's extraction they recommended. Was advised they would have to call back, Oral surgeon has to review and Oral surgeon has no scheduled appointments for the whole month of June at their Green Valley location I was told. Three hours later, 'no' call back, I called them @ 1:35pm and asked that X-Rays be sent to our 'new' dentist that can see my wife and her painful toothache Monday 6/9. They said I have to come sign a release for them to be sent to the new dentist. I said okay and asked how late they are there?, said there to 3pm. I got there at 1:55pm and they only had the release ready for 'me' to sign. I kept quiet and signed etc. I then said I also need my wife's to sign, 'and before she could get it out of her mouth I said "and HERE IS MY WIFE's MEDICAL POWER OF ATTORNEY AS WELL AS PERMISSION FOR HIPPA RELEASE TO ME HER SPOUSE!" Funny!!! It shut-up the 9 month community college admin tech that believed she had me, . But that was her attitude and it was another face on the very first visit 12/24, but the same 'poor' attitude. PLUS-PLUS!!! I got there at 1:55pm..., on the phone she said they would be there until 3pm. ON THEIR FRONT WINDOW, IT SAYS THEY RETURN FROM LUNCH AT ' 1:00pm ', but when I got there at 1:55pm, THEY HAD LOCKED THE DOOR or NEVER UNLOCKED IT AFTER THEIR LUNCH. As a former business owner and manager of several business's, NO WALK IN TRAFFIC COULD COME IN TO DO BUSNIESS!!! PLUS THEY HAD TURNED OFF ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE CUSTOMER AREA AND FRONT DESK AREA 'MAKING IT APPEAR CLOSED' ESPECIALLY WITH A LOCKED BUSINESS DOOR!!! Had them replace my retainers. When they delivered them, they were so tight I couldn't get them…read moreoff. They kept telling me they were supposed to be that tight and would loosen. I continued to struggle to get them off so I went back. Having had experience with retainers, I asked them to cut down the gum line area. They were accommodating and did it. After a few tries, it was great and I was able to get them off easily. The doctor and staff were very friendly. This was at their location on Oracle Rd.
