This past Thursday, Dr. Lola came to my home to help my bestest most loyalest friend of all times, Shadow, pass on to the other side. It was time. She purred to the very end. Here in her home, wrapped in my arms. Totally loved. Dr. Lola was an absolute angel through it all. It was both terrible, and loving and bittersweet. Dr. Lola is awesome. In-home euthanasia is expensive, I won't lie. I paid $355. It includes cremation. (Not ashes delivered back to you, although that's an option if you want it for a little more $$). If you can afford it, or if you have an elderly pet, and can tuck $$ away for it, I highly recommend. Your special friend gave you a lifetime of loyalty, unconditional love and companionship. Dr. Lola's Mobile Vet service was an answer to our prayers! We had been searching for someone compassionate enough to make our poor ol' dog Charlie's transition stress-free for him, and peaceful. Charlie has never been comfortable with car rides, vet office visits, and shiny floors. He could no longer walk without falling. His back legs would give out on him. The problems he was having to deal with would have been compounded had we had to drive him to the vet, and having Dr. Lola come to us seemed the easiest solution. She returned our call asap. And, consulted with me to make sure this was a good decision and a good time. She immediately got down on the floor with him, offered treats and talked and petted him. He became immediately and clearly relaxed with her there. It's never easy having to put a furry family member down, but he was showing signs of pain and major discomfort. We were happy to be able to make the end of his journey in this world as easy on him as possible, and in doing that, Dr. Lola also made it easier for us.
