Mine was a unique circumstance in that I had just completed my first complete hardtail chopper build. But I wanted to have an expert double check the final details just to be safe. I had researched a handful of possible shops, but the reviews at King America were by far the best. The atmosphere in Waldo's shop is fantastic but more evident is his genuine passion for motorcycles. After discussing the details and reviewing pictures of my build, I was confident in the choice. And with his tenured history with custom builds, he also offered suggestions to further improve the final product. Waldo took the time to really listen to what I needed, offered genuine advice that helped me complete the project, and did so at a more than fair price. What I…read morehadn't done is find a shop who was able to satisfy needs of service, experience, knowledge, know how with a smile and who cares enough to discuss options and what they recommend to keep my two wheeler running well for many miles and a long time. Today I stopped in to see Candy's Cycles and discussed my needs for service for my 2014 FLHR. They pointed out some inconsistencies with my past services at other shops that were done poorly or not done at all (but were paid for). Anyway I'm pleased and the bike is running better, shifting smoother and is safer than than when I took it in. I intend to patronize Candy's Cycles. You should check them out.

He said he would try to fit me into his own schedule, and we discussed a time that would likely work for both of us. However, before ending the call, Cody asked me to modify or delete my review. I told him that once someone actually came out and looked at the bike, I would have no problem updating the review to reflect that. At that point, he accused me of "blackmailing" the company with my review. To be clear, I never brought up the review during the call--he did. I simply said I would update it once the issue was addressed. Being accused of blackmail for wanting the problem resolved before changing my review was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. My original concern was the lack of communication after the repair. Unfortunately, this interaction only made the situation worse. I paid Cody $130.00 to come to my house and let me know what was wrong with my bike. He came with a helper and they showed me what needed to be fixed and what the cost would be. I agreed and they were to come back in a few days when they had the parts. I never heard from anyone again. I finally found another mechanic to take care of the bike. I'm sorry to say this, but don't bother with this one. They aren't reputable and they don't care about their customers.
