This is my first-ever review for a medical or dental provider. It's not something I usually do, but the level of professionalism and care I received at Dr. Smile stood out enough to share. I visited their San Pedro location. I just moved to Los Angeles, and this was my first dental visit. From the moment I walked in, I was met with professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care. Dr. Nadi was outstanding -- attentive, transparent, and invested in helping me understand my oral health. She walked me through the imaging, laid out a future treatment plan, and answered my questions with clarity and patience. Dr. Merati, the oral surgeon, joined the consultation to review the imaging alongside Dr. Nadi and provide insight into long-term care options. Although he was momentarily delayed assisting another patient, Dr. Nadi and Rebecca (the office manager) kept me informed every step of the way. Their proactive communication ensured I never felt like I was waiting in the dark -- I felt valued and prioritized throughout the visit. Rebecca also went above and beyond in helping me resolve insurance coverage issues. My previous plan offered poor value, and she took the time to walk me through alternatives and helped me enroll in a plan that actually aligns with my care needs. That level of service -- especially when it comes to navigating insurance -- is rare and genuinely appreciated. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the team -- the hygienist, imaging staff, and front desk -- all of whom were professional, efficient, and courteous. I just have to share my experience with this dentist office because it was unlike any I've ever been to. Usually, I dread walking into a dental office, but from the moment I stepped in, I felt welcomed. The staff took the time to explain everything to me in a way that was easy to understand, and it was clear they genuinely care about my oral health. I just wanted to let my family, friends and San Pedro know what an excellent job Dr. K did on my teeth...i am 100% more confident, i feel pretty again and most importantly i can smile again!! I feel like a million bucks thanks to Dr. K and his assistant Jacob, I'm so thankful to them both. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Smile. Every visit has been a great experience, and the entire team genuinely cares about their patients. I had deep periodontal cleanings done on all four quadrants, and they made what could have been a stressful experience so much easier. They made sure I was completely numb, kept me comfortable the whole time, and helped save my smile. The front desk staff, especially Jasmine, are absolutely wonderful. They're always friendly, welcoming, and make you feel like more than just another appointment on the schedule. I'm honestly sad that I'm moving to Texas because finding a dental office this caring won't be easy. Dr Smiles and especially Claudia played a big part in my second chance. Life threw me a curveball when I went in for a physical at my Dr's office and left with a murmur diagnosis. That isn't so bad until it actually turned out to be a leaky aortic valve in my heart. It was Open heart Surgery now, or the ER and possibly death. I chose to go through with the surgery except I hit another roadblock. They can't perform open heart surgery unless you get a clean bill of health from your dentist. Turns out my teeth were not sterile enough for surgery and My surgery date was a couple weeks away. Claudia started snapping fingers and did was necessary to get me an immediate appointment and all taken care of in one day. For that I am eternally grateful. I have been going to this office for more than 7 years and can say without a doubt that I've had the best ongoing dental experience. I'm always greeted with smiling faces and the treatment for this old guy (me) has been "top notch". Irene is a master at cleaning teeth. Dr. Kayvon and his wife Dr Nadi have each treated me and are exceptional dentist as well as nice people. Everyone at their office gives professional care but also seem generally interested in your welfare and it seems to take away the nervousness you usually feel when going to the Dentist. I definitely recommend this place. The dentists and all the team in general are super kind, they are pacient and proffesional. I got my wisdom teeth extraction and it was not painful at all, one of them had a complication one week later, because sometimes it is normal that things like that happen, I called them and they answered right away in the middle of the night helping me with some indications and they were willing to help me and did what needed to be done during the weekend (day off for them). They really took the time to explain each step of the process of what is being done and what to expect going forward for my dental care. I recently had my wisdom teeth removed at Dr. Smile with Dr. Merati, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I was nervous at first, but the sedation worked great. I didn't feel a thing and was surprised when Dr. Merati said he had already removed two teeth. Recovery was easy with no real pain, just followed the post-op instructions they gave me. First coming into the office the front staff was very friendly and nice. They greet you with a warm smile Dr Lai did my surgery and im very satisfied. Shes very good. I had no pain with my extractions! And no pain after. Shes very good at explaining the procedure which made me feel at ease Paulette did a part of my cleaning and she has very gentle hands. I came here after walking out of multiple dentist offices. But after coming to Dr.smile it has changed my whole outlook of dentistry. Doctors are amazing and have transformed my smile, never thought I could achieve what they have done. Along with veneers I have had implants done and they have been so easy to deal with.
