Pad thai that's more like lo mein
    Lenaia K.

Just order from here via Ubereats. Never gotten food from here before. Got a pork egg roll which was not that hot but everything else was still very hot when it arrived. The kids got sesame chicken which is delicious. I keep sneaking pieces from them. Also got the veggie pad thai. I was disappointed that there was no tofu in it as most places I've gotten veggie pad thai from has tofu. Besides the pad thai noodles this isn't pad thai. It tastes more like lo mein sauce and is very dark brown. It was a large serving and a ton of veggies. I will order there again because the sesame chicken is encouraging but won't get the pad thai again.

    Good people, good food!

If I could give negative stars I would. Took over 2 1/2 hours for our order. Called and no one answered. Totally unacceptable

Finally a Chinese restaurant in Brunswick with good food. Prices are very reasonable and they will make the heat level as you prefer.

I ordered the pork and fried plantain twice (carne frita y tostones). They're pretty tasty. What makes it special is the very nice cashier that has always taken our order. I know they opened a few months ago and I am sure they will keep getting better. My one piece of advice is the following. When I first walked in all you can see is their fritters in the case (empanadas, I call them pastellillos, papa rellena (meat filled potato balls) and alcapuria. That's all I thought they had and I almost walked out, turned around and decided to try. As I was ordering my husband found one single piece a paper with menu. They had so much more to offer. So hopefully they can get large colorful images of their food and prices and have it fill their side wall. Other than that, Kuddos to this small business. Let's keep them open.

We started with a delicious array of appetizers and later sat down to a plated meal. First salad then preordered main course. We provided guests with 4 options in advance (steak, chicken, salmon and pasta). Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Finished up with dessert. Assortment provided by In the Weeds and they allowed us to bring in a special cake. Lastly, In the Weeds also provided expertly arranged flowers that matched our color palette perfectly. The evening truly embodied a celebration worthy of a 60th anniversary!

The booth I sat in was ran down, you shouldn't sink into the booths when you find that perfect "@ss spot" being used for over 5 years. (Pet peeve of mines, this is why I hate booths). The menu is sort of all over the place with no cohesiveness. The price points for the quality and quantity is off for me, way off. I wanted the wedge salad but was told they have no ranch... "how don't you have ranch" I ordered the chicken piccata, it was nothing to write home about. Strike two when the waiter asked did I "need any salt and pepper, hot sauce". (Eyebrow raise, hot sauce!?!?) They warmed the frozen chicken breast up nice. The sauce was good but a burnt flavor lingered. Not sure if it was the sauce or the burnt vegetables. The mashed potatoes were congealed and flavorless. After I found a dime sized black flat ball of something in the mashed potatoes I had enough. I looked at all the beautiful dishes on yelp before I came here. ***WARNING*** if you don't see good pics and reviews within 10 months or so old, DONT DO IT! I can imagine the locals are helping to keep this place alive...

Read a few of the reviews here and was not optimistic it was going to be a good experience, but when I walked in the door with my wife, we were treated with a huge smile and promptly seated belayed many of my fears. We came in on a Tuesday night at 5:30. The parking lot was already half full, that alone surprised me, as they were the only open business. The ambiance still has a 70's feel to it, but so what? Linens on the tables and comfortable seating, we got off to a good start. Ordered a glass of the house cab which wasn't half bad. Started with a side salad that was reasonably good, but nothing over the top. Our server brought bread to the table, but no butter until we asked. The bread was very good. Not sure if they make it in-house, but it was warm. Took a while to get our entrees. When they landed on the table, they were luke warm at best. Ordered both a chicken parm and an eggplant parm, as well as an Italian sausage on the side. The sausage was cold. The advertised linguine pasta morphed into spaghetti and the red sauce, though tasty, was sparse. Both parmesans were outstanding. Crispy, somewhat cheesy, and warmer than anything else on the table. It was clear to me that the mediocre service wasn't the fault of our server. She was hustling, just overwhelmed with the number of tables. When she brought our check, she apologized without prompting, which moved this review up from 3 to 4 stars. I will come back, but a little bit earlier in the day to beat the crowd, and will ask for a side of marinara. I'm expecting a much better experience. When we left, the parking lot was full...on a Tuesday night...in the middle of nowhere. Truly amazing!

The hostess greeted us warmly and kindly walked us to our table. Our server, Cam, was excellent--very polite, attentive, and a great communicator throughout the evening. We started with three appetizers: the baked brie with poached pear, bang bang shrimp, and the French onion soup. All three were delicious and well seasoned. The baked brie with poached pear was especially amazing, and the French onion soup had wonderful flavor. For drinks, we tried the basil lemonade mocktail and white chocolate martinis. The martinis were fantastic--rich, chocolatey, and delicious. The mocktail was refreshing but could have used a little more flavor. For our entrées, I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the beer-battered cod special. His fish was perfectly seasoned and the batter was crispy and delicious. My seafood pasta initially came out a little dry and needed more sauce. When we let Cam know, he immediately communicated with the kitchen and they brought out a freshly made sauce right away, which made the dish much more flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere was great and the entire staff seemed friendly and professional. Overall, we had a really nice date night and appreciated the attentive service. We'll definitely be back again soon!
