This place is unsanitary. I ordered cashew chicken. Not sure where the chicken was in the dish as it was full of white rice and some type of gravy full of chestnuts. The soda machine was filthy!!!! This is a fast serve takeout/delivery eatery, as the name "Express" implies. It's not gonna knock you out with ambiance, exotic dishes, and black tie service. This is a solid neighborhood lunch or quick dinner option joint. They offer a nice selection of common Americanized Chinese food. Quick & tasty and won't break the bank. I've stopped in to grab to-go lunch a few times now. Portions are ample, food is tasty and freshly cooked, it's a good deal for the price. I just had the teriyaki chicken meal, which comes with fried rice & good sized eggroll. The sauce was delicious, and if you like your rice to get soaked in the sauce like me, you're going to be pleased with that. I really can't find anything about this place that stands out from any other mom and pops Chinese fast food place, but I will say this is the best in the area and it is slightly better than most. First thing you notice is the place itself needs some help. It's just unfinished and even has a drink machine that has been out of order forever. It just doesn't make sense to me to keep junk laying around your restaurant. Along with a stack of news papers....what's up with that? As I mentioned before the food here is ok and even better than most other places. One thing that I can promise is they give you a TON of food, no shortage there. The Dragon Delivers! Had heard a lot about this little Lewisville hole-in-the-wall (both good and bad) so decided to roll the dice and check it out a few months ago for myself. Located at the far west end of the Albertson's shopping center on Main, it's a pretty simple no-frills take-out place with only a few tables and an interior that could use some cleaning up. I'm one of those people though that doesn't much care about interior decorating as long as the food is good and I'm taking out. Walked in and ordered the chicken curry from a tall, affable Chinese guy who spoke good English and plopped down to wait for my meal. Now this is where things get interesting... I heard from friends and acquaintances that the Dragon has serious issues regarding salubrity (insects, cleanliness). Truthfully, I just didn't see any of this here. As I said before, the place could use a little aesthetic touching up but no sign of any health violations or stuff that would make you think twice about eating here. What I did find odd about this place on this visit and two follow-ups is that the kitchen seems to have a lot of in-and-out traffic not only from employees but also customers picking up food! Pretty bizarre seeing people pick up their food and then go rolling thru the kitchen area to engage in banter with the staff (and no, these were not delivery people). Looked busier than Grand Central with so many people popping in and out of there! So anyway, about the food. I'm pretty choosy when it comes to Chinese food and most of the offerings in Texas are acceptable, but depressingly mediocre when compared to the New York style I got addicted to living in Brooklyn. The Dragon, on the other hand, is a noticeable upgrade. Still not really close to authentic NY Chinatown cuisine, but better than most around here. Ordered delivery tonight... used to get delivery from here 10-15 years ago in our other house, but decided to try again tonight (tried one other time a month or two ago also). Wasn't sure after reading so many poor reviews, but my daughter had this recently at a friend's house and loved it. The items we ordered tonight were exceptional. Chicken fried rice was cooked perfectly. Daughter (11) even said "I don't even mind the peas and carrots in this, it's so good!" Okay, that's a huge WIN in my book! The chicken lo mein and pork lo mein were also very good. Nothing was greasy. Tasted fresh. Our last time we recently ordered, I didn't like the mongolian beef quite as much as I do from other places... the beef was kind of "soggy" and no crispiness to to it. That's why I ordered some basics tonight... testing them out again... and we both LOVED the lo mein and fried rice (love our carbs I suppose!). Also - portions are HUGE! We could have split a lo mein. There is TONS leftover for lunch/dinner tomorrow. We will order from here again, and will update review when we try some other items. read more

This is a place with good Chinese food. Being from up north/midwest I'm used to a different type of Chinese food than what I've find is native to Texas. However this place is closer than what I love from back home. I'll definitely go to this place again. I do however wish they put egg in their fried rice. We had Shrimp Fried Rice, Schezuan Shrimp, Orange Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. There were no complaints about the food. Decent amount of food for the price. Ordered take out from Dragon Express and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the dinner for 2 plus a side of broccoli beef. A VERY GOOD DEAL! You get so much food with just the dinner for 2 that you don't need to order anything else. We got a pint of Egg Drop Soup (one of the best soups I've ever had), 4 rangoon (so so delicious), pork fried rice (I personally didn't like the taste, but my fiance loved it) and sweet and sour pork that was enough to feed a small army. So, I'm normally very harsh on fast food restaraunts as my husband works at one (we go out and judge other stores against his to see where his needs to improve). But this place is just absolutely awesome. Every time we have ordered from here they atleast get our orders right! The wait time is not that bad (45 minutes is not a long wait time no matter how far/close you live), remember they still have to cook the food and send a driver out, whos already taking orders elsewhere (you're not the only person ordering), and find the place / get in the gate. Heed the bad reviews. They're all true. We ordered before and had a bad experience. Decided to give them a second chance. Terrible idea. We ordered kung pao chicken, combo fried rice, chicken lo mein and beef curry. They were all bad. I've never been in there. Not sure if they're a buffet but the food taste like it came off a buffet line. The meats were all dry and rubbery. The shrimp was mushy and had a bad fishy taste. The veggies were overcooked and too soft. The fried rice was bland and dry. The lo mein was bland, soggy and overcooked to the point of mushiness. The curry was also bland and could use more curry paste or powder. The service is worst than their food. They told us 45 mins for delivery but it took 1 hr 15 mins to get our food. On to of that, they forgot our sides of rice. We called them and they were very rude. They insisted the rice was in there and tried to give excuses for the late delivery. They gave the same excuses last time. So they finally agreed to send out our rice. They said we'd get it in 15 mins. It took 40 mins. Took almost 2 hrs to get all our food. SUCH RUDENESS.
