I had a great time here very friendly place it's small but cozy I can rely on a good cooked meal here but anyone can say that lets get real this place isn't professional it's needs a lot of worked fine the wall is dirty and the food isn't the best I got sweet and sour chicken and the rice wasn't as cooked as it should have been but I ignored it seeing the fact that I was having a pretty good time I wouldn't trust the cooks but it's was an ok plate the water was nasty and dry sort of like a dirt taste behind it ... First time in lewisville to order delivered chinese food. Absolutely delicious. Early on delivery. Price was right! Definitely recommend.!

I wouldn't really give this business any stars, because they don't deserve any. At least not for being a delivery service. I usually order chinese from QQ here in Lewisville, they are amazingly fast and good quality of food- But Dragon Express has littered my door with enough menus that I thought I'd give them a try. I called them at 4:50 pm and after an hour and ten minutes and 2 phone calls they had still not delivered but went on to say that " we are very busy"(no apologies), and that "we make everything fresh to order" as if that has anything to do with crappy service - the person on the phone then wanted me to wait another 5-10 (but probably more like 15) more minutes. I told her to cancel my order- my diabetic roomate had to leave for work and thanks to the lack of "Express" from this Dragon he had to leave with no dinner(for a diabetic that really can mess you up). I then called QQ who brought me some great food in 25 minutes. I wouldn't recommend Dragon Express unless you are on Death Row trying to buy time. read more

This place is hands down the better than 90% of chinese food places out there. I've been ordering from them since I moved here over 5 years ago and have to say I'm a little surprised at some of the reviews especially because I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to Chinese food. Lets start with the egg drop soup which is quite possible the BEST in the entire area and believe me I have tried others which are almost always a watered down tasteless version of how it should taste. Not only is it great but it comes in a pint for under $3!!!! Moving on the Lo-mein is great and made with the proper noodles not some spaghetti crap that is tasteless and dry. As for the delivery time I would say they usually tell me it will be 45-50 minutes however I almost always get my order in under 20 minutes but the point is that they don't promise to get it to me right away yet they always do. In addition to this I would go ahead and say that MOST Chinese food places take 45-50 minutes to deliver so that being said I'm not sure why some other reviews are upset about that. read more

Not good. At all. I've gotten food from Dragon Express before and it wasn't good, but since it was open and it would deliver I decided to give it another chance. That was a horrible choice. Last time, I got the vegetable lo mein. It was mushy and lacked any real flavor. This time I decided to get happy family (supposedly a chef specialty) and egg drop soup with wontons. As for the happy family, it was a lot less than I expected for being a chef specialty. I'm actually sitting here eating it now, but only due to the fact that I spent so much money on it and it's the only food in the house that can be eaten without extensive preparation. Overall, it wasn't completely terrible, but I definitely would not be eating it if I had any other option. The meat is overcooked and chewy, the sauce is okay (not bad but could be a lot better), the vegetables are extremely scarce, and I just bit into some sort of charred...something. You do get plenty of meat, it's edible, and it comes in a large portion so it's got those working in its favor, but that's really it. Now, onto the egg drop soup with wontons. The soup itself wasn't bad. It was certainly nothing special, but not bad. I'm pretty certain the only two ingredients used consist of chicken broth and egg. Two good flavors, but they could be accented with something else to give it a bit more depth and variety of flavor. The wontons were an entirely different story. Generally, wontons are made of appropriately seasoned meat/vegetables inside of a rice based wrapping. These were not. First off, the wrap was flour based. This led to it being extremely thick, chewy, and undercooked. The inside was filled with some strange, mushy brown meat (I'm assuming beef?) spiced with something reminiscent of mint. I want you to imagine what that would taste like. Minty meat. Nothing I'd want to eat ever again. I took one bite, spit it out, and scooped the wontons out of the soup. I attempted to feed one to my dog. He sniffed it once and refused to touch it - and this is a dog I've found eating cat poop out of the litter box on multiple occasions. If you do decide to test out this restaurant, avoid anything and everything with the word "wonton" in it at all costs. In order to justify the one star I was required to give it, I guess I can list the few positives that came out of ordering food from there - They promised my food in 45-55 minutes. While this is an extremely long time for someone who advertises "fast delivery", they did make it on time (around 50 minutes I believe). - The delivery driver was friendly - The fortune cookie was good - I haven't done dishes in quite a while, and this came with a plastic fork and spoon. If you want good east asian food, one place I can 100% recommend is Thai Pepper. It's Thai food, which is different than Chinese, but still very good. They're located off main street in the lot with Big Lots and Thrift World and they deliver. I've never eaten anything from there that I haven't liked. If you're considering Dragon Express, consider bringing your business elsewhere. One last note. I sound quite a bit younger than I actually am. While ordering, the person taking my order referred to me as "sweetie." I realize there was no malice in saying this, but it does get quite annoying to be referred to by pet names generally reserved for people under the age of 12. If someone is old enough to call you up, order food, and pay for it by themselves, I can almost guarantee you that they're old enough to not be called "sweetie." If you work in the service industry, please avoid this at all costs. read more

Ordered for delivery last night for first time. All the food tasted really old and chewy. Only good part was the egg rolls. We ended throwing everything else away. We had broccoli beef and a lo mein noodles dish with shrimp, pork and beef, dumplings and egg rolls. We might try again, but don't want to risk 30 dollars again. This place is great for takeout! Their dinner express menu is perfect for those with a low budget and big appetite. I recommend the crab rangoo, it is delicious, especially with the sweet and sour chicken! read more
