I'm giving this place a two which actually really sucks because I know that Dragonmarsh has been a staple of Riverside and the good ole University Ave for a while. Yet legitimately I went to Riverside today from Fontana SPECIFICALLY for Dragonmarsh. Yet the past few times that we had come we were followed, even though I had made a purchase and was simply browsing for what I wanted-I obviously had money to pay. But being followed, especially that closely is creepy, and makes a person frankly feel unwanted. We were legit SCARED to go into today because we didn't know how we were going to be treated. We passed the store a few times and each time found an excuse to wait because we didn't want to deal with being followed, or another typical case of Dragonmarsh staff- judging those who don't know much about the arts and such that is sold in the store. I am a curious person and would love to learn more but I've definitely been shown on numerous occasions to not come here. The final straw for us just leaving after we had a nice lunch and antique shopping downtown was the passive aggressive "no smoking marijuana or being scented with marijuana" sign. I get that some people have allergies, and I can respect it. However it really gives a judging and pretentious vibe- and nor me nor my wife smoke ANYTHING. It was simply the final judgmental nail in the coffin of pretentious actions that I've experienced at this place. Which absolutely sucks because I want to, and do enjoy the items in the store. I would like to be a patron and give my business, but not under the treatment in which this store has chosen to operate. read more

Was excited to check it out however the guy working told us we could only come in if we knew what we want we were not allowed to look around, go to scared journey way better staff and you don't have to feel unwanted or hounded by staff to pick up what you need and leave. I spend $700 a week in crystals for my business and scared journey has never disappointed me or my clients. Never coming back here. read more

It's a fun, corny, gimmicky tourist store with a lot of cheap stuff. Some of it feels overpriced. It's just fine if that's what you're looking for and want a touristy gift. They have tons of cute stuffed animals and fun stuff like fairy dust. It's not a spiritual place. If you want a place with spiritual vibes go to Sacred Journey in Riverside. Most of their crystals seem teeny and overpriced to me except their rose quartz, which I appreciate. When I was there I didn't find any jewelry with crystals from the earth. Its located on Riverside's Downtown Pedestrian Mall on Main Street, just down the way from the Mission Galleria and close to the historical Mission Inn. They've been around downtown Riverside for over a decade. The shop's owner, Moira, is a friendly knowledgable woman and the rest of the staff are more than willing to help. This is the place to go if you're in the market for tarot cards, incense, books, Renaissance Faire costumes, books on historical time periods, and cool quirky gifts. They also offer unique services like custom made Costumes, Renaissance and Victorian Era style weddings (Misty, Moira's daughter and the resident Priestess, performed a friend's wedding ceremony), unique spiritual classes and a great layaway plan. I used to come here all the time in high school and load up on candles, incense, essential oils, etc... The last time I stopped in was about 6 or 7 years ago. This past weekend I headed out to Riverside because I wanted to buy essential oils for the hand scrubs I am making. I went to where they used to be, and they were gone. What? So I walked around some more and found them down the street and around the corner. Much smaller space than what they used to have, which was sad because the old space had a much better layout and was cooler looking. Due to this smaller space, they have a limited selection of products. But, they did have a small room in the back with essential oils, so I was able to purchase what I came for. The lady assisting me was helpful and nice. Will definitely go back if I need more oils, as their selection is fantastic. read more

I originally found Dragonmarsh at Pagan Fest a few years ago where I fell in love with their teas. They have a huge selection of natural teas and herbal blends that I trust not to have all those icky pesticides or processed chemicals in. I recently attended a class here (Tasty Tea Tasting) and it was a really fun experience! The woman running the class was very nice as well as informative. We had 11 different blends and learned about everything from how the different types of tea are made to brewing techniques. Afterwards I was able to buy a new infuser and a delicious bag of Mandarin Vanilla Tea with an appreciated discount for attending the class. I will definitely be attending more classes here in the future. But enough of the tea talk(sorry, I'm totally obsessed)! They also have a wide range of stones, herbs, candles, and essential oils. Although Dragonmarsh is a 45 minute drive, the awesome knowledgeable and helpful employees and the wide variety of products in stock are worth the trip. read more

I love supporting small businesses and metaphysical shops but I was very surprised with the energy of the shop. First you knock and someone lets you in, you still have to wear a mask (which Isn't that big of a deal), but what really took me back was that just about everything is locked up behind glass. I love feeling the energy and quality of stones. The card decks were even locked up. I didnt feel comfortable and the staff wasn't inviting for my experience.
