EEZ exceeded my high expectations. Here's why. I needed old, corroded pipes replaced under my kitchen sink and a new faucet installed(which I had already purchased). Previously, I had asked my friends for referrals of their plumbers. Friends' plumbers never followed through to call or return my calls. I also contacted a very good plumbing service I'd used in the past. Left messages and never received a return call. So by this time (approximately couple months), I'm frustrated. My corroded pipes have now morphed into cracks and dripping water under the sink soooooo, we used the old temporary standby-duct tape. Yep, sure did. It kept the water at bay for a short while. I became frustrated and desperate. I YELPED. Found couple of highly recommended services. Sent messages requesting quote and Pat from EEZ responded same day. Called the office and spoke to very pleasant, friendly woman (I believe it was Katrina?) Pat requested some pictures which I texted to him.(LOVED THIS CONVENIENCE of sending pictures to alleviate his making a trip to my home just to give me an estimate. It also gave Pat a peek at my duct-taped pipes AND now the gaping hole.) Hoped the pictures didn't scare him into quoting me an unreasonable estimate. It didn't. Pat called me as soon as he received the pictures. He gave me a very fair estimate and we scheduled an appointment for a 12-2 pm window for Monday(yesterday) Pat called me a little before 11am asking if I were at home because he wanted to come within 15 minutes. Hey, works for me. Pat and his assistant showed up within 10 minutes, replaced all the pipes under my sink, installed the faucet, cleaned up and were done in less than 90 minutes. I am so thrilled with the pipes and faucet. (Those corroded pipes were as old as Abe Lincoln so it required extra patience and muscle. Pat and his assistant handled it.) Also, the electronic credit card payment process/invoice took less than 5 minutes to complete. Oh yeah. Chain broke in our very OLD toilet tank and I asked Pat if he could replace it. He checked it out after completing kitchen job. He was honest. (This guy has a great sense of humor.) Because of age of toilet, he said it would be hard/costly to find part. I called to schedule an appointment for them to look at my ejector pit. It turns out it is an older unit and needs to be replaced. I was told they would give me a call with a quote for a new one. I was charged a $55 service fee. I was never told there would be a fee for having them out and they did nothing other than tell me I needed a new unit. Before leaving, the technician gave me a 20 minute lecture on how bad the water that comes out of the faucet is for one's health, telling me I needed to filter all of the water I use, drink, cook with, give to pets, water our plants... It was really long and at that point I just wanted him out of my house. They never ended up calling me with a quote for a new one. About a week later, I called them. They gave me a quote that was way more than I am able to spend at this time. I'm very disappointed at the service I received. read more

I had two different plumbing companies come out to investigate what turned out to be a complicated plumbing issue. Both said they were unsure of the root cause, and then next step would be to demo the bathroom. Since a demo is not currently an option, when I sent out a new round of request for quotes, Pat was the only one who thoroughly read the description of the problem. He called me shortly after and explained what he thought the problem was and what he thought the next steps should be (and was very clear that the next step should NOT be demoing the bathroom). Others that I requested quotes from clearly did not read any of the background I sent. Unfortunately, Drain-EEZ doesn't work on the type of toilet installed in the bathroom. However, Pat recommended another company that does, and I ended up hiring them because they are clearly experienced, and also very good at communicating what they are seeing. Pat was unable to service my toilets as I live out of his service range, however, he was still huge help. My toilet stoped flushing last year and when I reached out to him, while unable to come out, he talked me through the fix and basically taught me how to replace my flush valve on my own. I called him again about two weeks ago because my other toilet started to have similar issues. Again, he messaged with me and diagnosed my problem based off my description. We have been using Drain-EEZ Plumbing for over five years now and have always been very pleased with them. In fact, this is the only company that comes to mind when I think of who to turn to for a reliable plumber. We have used other plumbers before but none of them compare to Pat, the Drain-EEZ plumber. He goes above and beyond to assure a repair is done right the first time and has had to fix the work that plumbers did. For example, a couple years ago we had a plumber that just pushed a clog further down the drain with his pressure plunger. Well, a week later, the bathroom shower and kitchen sink had water coming up in them again and so I called Pat. He spent a good couple of hours rodding the pipes and knocking on wood, we have not had an issue like that since. The first project involved a complicated shower faucet repair and fortunately Pat was able to find and replace the parts, repair the faucet and resolve all of water temperature issues in a timely and efficient manner. Update: I had a 4 star review instead of a 5 based on price...high. It's now 2 stars. The first handyman (Punchlist Plumbing & Bath) hired took shower head off and it was now leaking (wasn't an issue before). Drain-Eez came out fixed the problems from the first repair that weren't fixed by Punchlist and then took the shower head off, saying I needed a new one & could do that myself. After Pat from DrainEez left, I took out my plumber's tape and reinstalled the shower head...no leaks. What exactly am I paying $685 for when you can't even toss in a few inches of plumber's tape and screw on a shower head for an extra 5 minutes of your DOCTOR's pay? I changed my mind. I won't be using this person again. It's sort of like a bad one night stand with all these plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc. They leave in the morning and you realize they took your wallet! I'll add Pat remarked on no one wants to fix or repair their places anymore. I'll add to that- it's because the average person cannot afford to hire people to fix stuff. Most of us don't earn Plumber's Pay. This repair set me back, seriously...I pray nothing else breaks in the next few months. Now, I know why my poor aunt kept a dishpan under her leaky sink for years. Pat was helpful and completed the job in a timely manner. He was honest that he couldn't get to my place for a week, he's not in this area (Rogers Park) often. He fixed what a handyman screwed up even worse than it was. He had an assistant with him, so I can understand the high price-kinda. Still, the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is $685 for less than two hours work & that included having to go get the part, changing out parts that cost tops $60 total. I wanted to cry but what can I do, I've been without a shower for weeks. I'll forgo some groceries for awhile & work overtime if I can. I just don't get on average $300 an hour for almost all repairmen. I mean brain surgery it's not, but unless you are really sure, you won't screw it up yourself & that your place is brand new without any of the "glitches" that occurs when you own an old place, some things are best left in a pro's hands. I would still use him again for anything that I can't fix myself (which I'm actually capable of doing) & I'm grateful I can now take a shower again. read more

Okay so I called Drain Eez to fix a pump issue. They came 100% on time. They went above and beyond. They fixed everything perfectly with no complaints. They left my home SPOTLESS. STRESS FREE!!! and even repaired a toilet they discovered was malfunctioning!! ( they did not have to fix it, but they did, because they wanted everything to be working properly with our new pump. They are nice and professional and amazing. Pat is a genius and is coming back next week to fix another problem that was caused by another plumbing company. as far as other reviews here are concerned: Sometimes things happen and a plumber is late because they never know what they are going to find behind a wall or under a sink..so they can be contending with flooding and all kinds of emergencies..so I always cut a break if they are late.. I am extremely happy with the job they did for us ! they are going to come and fix my tub next week.. they may have to go into the wall. It's always good to have a General contractor to fix the cosmetic stuff because Plumbers cannot do drywall etc..
