I fly out of SFO quite often and whenever my gate is located near Drakes, I always stop by. My experience here has always been great, food always fresh. I brought some coworkers here while we waited for our flight. We shared two pizzas the classic, and the bee sting. Bee sting was my favorite due to the jalapeños and the hot honey (yummy) we asked for ranch on the side. For my main dish I was craving a burger and our waiter Ghil was so helpful in helping me choose one. I went with the California dreaming burger & it was hot and fresh, my fave part was the crunchiness of the jalapeños. I ordered to drink the best coast ipa and it was so juicy. They have tons of seating & a bar top.

Grown up egg salad sandwich with toasted whole grain bread, kale, capers, and egg salad with tomatoes

I joined the folks watching football at the bar. I received as much attention as I needed. And was left alone when I asked. I had a few beers before ordering the egg salad made with capers which sounded interesting but tasted quite bland. The bread was cheap, it soaked quickly from the tomatoes. I should've just had a hamburger and fries. It's kinda hard to screw that up. What really got my goat was after the fact I saw a post on the wall that they increased the price of everything by 5% to make sure their staff are well tipped. Are you kidding me! How do I figure out the tip?

I love this little spot in the SF airport. I always end up here when im heading home from a work trip. Arrived here and ordered a few proseccos and a burger. Can i say, this was one of the best burgers I had in SF. Maybe I was super craving meat this day, but it was totally delicious, juicy, and cooked perfectly medium rare. Great little place for some grub before heading home! I know ill be back again very soon.

I have to admit I did not expect much from an airport restaurant but was very pleasantly surprised with the fresh-baked pizza they serve. It was very good ! I went for the classic flavor and really liked it. A legit 4 stars

Appropriately, my last stop was at an airport bar having arrived early to return the rental car. On past trips to SFO, I've frequented other bars in the airport that were too far to go this time, but was pleasantly surprised Drake's Brewing had a tap room in the airport. It was bright and open, with friendly bartenders who were quick to set placements and welcome in people. They had a large selection of their beers on tap, plus some regional favorites like Russian River, and classic macros. Beers only come in one size: giant. Prices are crazy because you're in an airport, but the seating is comfortable and they have outlets everywhere. I didn't have any food, but those who did around me seemed pleased with giant burgers and things. If you're a beer fan and nearby in the airport, Drake's has solidly good beer.

Fast service and friendly! Came here on a whim to get some late breakfast. You can get breakfast until 11 AM daily. I ordered the pancakes and two eggs and my son ordered a burger and garlic fries. The garlic fries were not that great but the best part about my meal is definitely the pancakes. Whether it was the butter or the way they make pancakes they were fluffy and just right. A little bit crispy on the edges. I also had a virgin margarita, which was really tasty. A little too much ice though. All in all this was a great sitdown restaurant for it to be an airport and I am definitely stuffed afterwards.

Drake's Flyaway is a restaurant/brewery that is in the Harvey Milk Terminal. It's closest to the end and was near gate B25, which was my gate for this day's flight. I was searching through the terminal to decide what I wanted to eat and was craving a burger so I decided to eat here to wait for my flight. I got the Drive-In Burger which was described as a blend of short rib, brisket, & chuck, cheddar, drive-in sauce, pickles, onion, shredded iceberg, and tomato (which I took out). I also got a side of fries to complete this meal. The service was prompt and friendly. Although it was busy I got my food so fast and it was fresh and hot. Not sure if I was just super hungry but this was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Not just based on taste as it was a pretty normal burger but it was exactly what it said it was. The fries were also shoestring, which is my favorite. I was checked on constantly by my server and she checked me out swiftly, which is great for anyone that might be in a hurry for a flight. Great spot to grab a bite (& maybe a beer next time) in this terminal.

Last piece of our delicious 89 pizza

So Filiberto, bartender, was very nice and quite adept at handling entire bar. Our first drink wasn't what we expected and he took good care of us. We ordered an 89 Pizza ... unbelievable for an airport pizza. If it was down the street I would be a regular. The crust was insanely good, the pepperoni perfect, the peppers had incredible flavor. I highly recommend...

September 20, 2025 Stopped in because it is a very short walk to gate B 25. 18 beers on tap and the Drake's nitro is delicious!! The drinks are measured pours, so make sure and go for the double!

I had a memory of enjoying a meal here once so when I arrived early for a flight last week, I choose to come back here since I had enough time for a sit down lunch before my flight. I was seated quickly and got my order in almost right away - a pizza and a beer. The pizza is a bit confounding. I wish the toppings, in this case onions and peppers, were better integrated into the whole dish but the flavors as a whole were good. But the dough/crust left a lot to be desired and was a bit soft. I would have loved another drink but by the time my server came around to check on me again I decided it was best not to chance another 10-15 min absence to wait for the check. If I come back, I have to remember not to get a pizza or be in a rush.

Not a bad airport spot! The bun was a little firm, but the burger itself was juicy and flavorful. Fries were hot and crispy--solid for a quick bite before a flight.

So Basic (eggs, hash brown, chicken sausage and subbed toast for salad)

Located near gates B19/B20 Drakes is a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. I had a few hours before I boarded my flight so I decided to get breakfast. There is a podium in the front with a sign that says please wait to be seated. I was greeted within seconds and walked over to my table. I decided to get the So Basic meal. It comes with eggs, your choice of bacon or sausage, hash brown and salad. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled with cheese. Cheese is an up-charge of 50¢. I went with the chicken sausage and said I didn't want the salad. She offered to sub for toast and the option was wheat or sourdough. I chose sourdough and that was a $2 up-charge. I was a little shocked by that cause she offered so I thought she was swapping that for the salad. I also got an apple juice. They carry the Martinelli brand which is the superior apple juice. If you know you know. The food came out hot and well presented. I really enjoyed my meal. The only thing I didn't eat was the hash browns. I'm not a fan of the shredded kind which is what they offer. I had asked initially how the potatoes were cut so I knew in advance that I was getting the shredded kind. I figured I will give it a try, but I just don't like my hash brown that way. Other than that I was so excited that they had the chicken sausage. It was really good paired with the eggs and then the sourdough toast. The restaurant was super clean and the staff were very friendly. Not a ton of seating in my opinion, but enough to make it work. My check came up to $30.37 that included taxes and 5% employee benefit surcharge. Not something I'm familiar with and didn't notice until after I left smh. Overall, good experience and based on the other restaurants in that gate area the better option if you want to be seated.

When we arrived, our waitress didn't seem very knowledgeable about the beers, but honestly, that wasn't a big deal. My boyfriend ordered his pizza while I was still deciding what I wanted. His pizza came out very quickly, which we had no complaints about. The issue started when we had barely been seated for about 15 minutes. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
