This place makes fantastic pinsa! Service was so friendly and quick! The owners are an older Turkish/Persian couple (hope I remembered that correctly). Seems like they are a local favorite. Inside is small, but decorated very well and has great lighting. All the pinsas we ordered were so yummy. Crust was a fantastic texture (great thickness, a little chewy, and crispy)!! Flavors were all great! We got a Diavola pinsa too (not pictured), which is a customer favorite (for good reason)! All the ingredients were just fresh and yummy. Got this takeout since I live 10 mins away. I was expecting more from the rave reviews on Google Maps, but I was a bit disappointed. Wasn't what I remember from Roman style pizza-- the crust covered much more of the surface area, and bread wasn't a pillowy soft in the center. Flavors were on par w/ other Italian places. Such a super cute hidden gem!! Very unassuming from the outside, but once you step in it's incredibly aesthetic, cozy, and charming. Seating is pretty limited but when I went on a Tuesday afternoon it wasn't busy at all. They have a great selection with really interesting flavor combinations, plus a solid wine list too. And because it's pinsa dough (not traditional pizza), it's surprisingly light. I usually don't eat the crust on pizza, but had no problem with this one. We split one pinsa between two people and it was a perfect size. Will definitely be back to try more of their flavors. Highly recommend! read more

Their's is called pinsa and the menu explains why it is healthier than pizza. Tbh couldn't tell the difference between this and pizza. I loved that they had vegan options. The vegan cream dos not taste vegan at all and added a nice creaminess to it. There was a good amount of each topping too. Everything blended together nicely. It was crispy and salty in the best way It was super busy when we went on a Saturday evening so be prepared to wait (small space inside) or take out. With differences in ingredients and supposedly healthier, pinsa dough is light and airy which makes it even more enjoyable. Easily the best pizza place to go in SF. I randomly walked past by the restaurant and decided to grab a pinsa here and it was one of the best decisions I made. Especially the pinsa dough is very light and delicious. Usually the pizza doughs are heavy in the stomach and I get easily sick of it, but the pinsa doughs here does not feel that way at all. I could easily finish the whole pie by myself. The toppings they have are combination of various ingredients and I absolutely love that I can taste them all. The Diavola had a nice kick with the spicy salami, balanced out by a light, airy crust that wasn't too heavy. This is not your regular shmegular pizza parlor, and that's the charm of it all! They specialize in pinsa, a healthier alternative which is just as delicious. Inside the shop is very quaint, organized and has a modern feel. The bathroom was also spotless which is a plus. There are literally only 3 small booths to sit at, so indoor seating is SCARCE. Our server was awesome and he gave us a thorough run down of their menu while gracefully accommodating our group of 5! He also provided us with all the fixings like hot honey, chili oil, cheese and pepper. Now to the good part, the food! We got the: Montanara - 9/10, this pinsa was delicious. The truffle flavor was just right, and the toppings were a great combination. It was a heavier-tasting pizza but if you're all about rich and savory flavors this is the one for ya. (Would recommend a salad on the side to balance it all out). San Daniele - 8.8/10, airy, fresh, and well balanced. The cheeses pair nicely with the glaze and prosciutto, while the greens on top add a nice freshness. Prosciutto e Fichi - 7.5/10, my friends said this was almost like a dessert pinsa. The fig jam is very thick and sweet, overall it is hefty in weight. Good, but not everyone's cup of tea! Our server said that most of their ingredients-cheeses, meats, etc, are directly imported from Italy and you can really taste the quality in each pinsa. We basically cleared each one, except the fig one- leaving 2 slices to take to-go. I was really surprised with how great the quality of the crust/base of the pinsa is! It's an optimal thickness and crispness while holding its shape even when it's eaten the next day. I can imagine it being just as good if taken out instead of dining in. Ordered takeout from here and was very happy with it! The restaurant itself is small with some indoor dining and very cute inside. The diavolo pinsa was delicious and I love how the pinsa is not oily but still is flavorful and has that chewy/crispy crust. My partner got the montanara and it smelled like truffles which was great. It's average-pricey pizza ($28 for a pizza) but it was a very special pizza that I don't think I could've found somewhere else with the fig sauce balanced with smoked prosciutto. The friendliest staff in any restaurant in S.F. is here. This seems to be a family owned shop as there was a grandma working in the kitchen that seemed like this was her recipe.
