I spent a lot of time in airports, unfortunately. It is always a welcome surprise when I encounter good food and good service.

Been here a few times while traveling via San Francisco airport. Food is solid. Burger and fries is excellent. Great meal to send you off in your flight. Small wine and cocktail menu and a few beers on tap. Regardless you can find something that will hit the spot. We had a drink before leaving yesterday. 9 ounce pour of Sauvignon blanc and a cocktail. Nice and refreshing and got us in the vacation mode. Staff were very helpful and friendly when we came in. Got us a high table in the bar near the airport walkway to people watch. I guess I can't really say this is a negative because we all know airport food and drink come at a premium price. The glass of wine I had was $24! But we gladly paid it and the service was great. read more

Just waiting for my delayed flight in the morning decide to have breakfast at this restaurant in SFO My server was very pleasant The atmosphere is pretty nice It was right by my gate I ordered French Toast and side of eggs with hot water to drink The eggs were fine However the French Toast was completely burned on the back I did eat it all of it thinking is going to get better However later when I looked at the back of my round FT I noticed I have been eating burned food I didn't know I had to check first the back before I started to eat My own fault not to check I was so hungry that I ate it anyway I don't like to return food back to the kitchen ( had a bad experience with that before) Any how I am definitely not going to dine again at this restaurant even though I fly to SFO often read more

I have been here a couple of times, mostly when I'm in this terminal. This time I was seated within 5 minutes of showing up and was able to get it to person table so I could do some work. My server was super friendly and attentive. I ordered an unsweet tea and a turkey club sandwich. Unfortunately I wasn't able to eat like a sandwich due to it being soggy and falling apart. I won't be ordering that sandwich again. The fries are always good. read more

The food was good. However, the turkey in the turkey club was like something you'd get next to the bologna in the supermarket, cut in round sheets. I thought maybe it would be something higher quality, like deli meat. The bacon was cooked well and the sandwich was good, yet for the quality of ingredients I'm not sure they should be charging $23 for this sandwich (as of April 2026). I did like the French fries. They have an extensive beverage list. Our service was good. Our server asked when our flight departed and it's nice they take that into consideration (though our flight was so delayed it didn't matter for us). I ordered the creme brûlée cheesecake to share with my kiddo and it was good, even for being the baked kind I don't prefer. The add a 5% surcharge for staff benefits. Our layover in SFO was under two hours, which was just enough time for a meal. Located in the D terminal, which was the terminal we flew in and out of, we chose Lark Creek Grill because of its gluten free options. Being 3pm, it was a late lunch/early dinner -- we had only had snacks throughout the day, and this was our only chance for a proper meal, as we would be arriving at our destination at 11pm. My sister and I both ordered the grilled salmon with garlic herb cream sauce, jasmine rice, spinach, and mushrooms. While pretty basic, it was tasty and filling, and it hit the spot. I also ordered a glass of wine. While not cheap, we enjoyed our meal, and the service was great. Funny moment: When I ordered a glass of wine, the server asked if I wanted a 16oz or 20oz glass. I looked at her, baffled, thinking I had misheard (I know that portions in the States may be larger, but glasses of wine starting at 16oz?!). The server realized was I was so confused, and said those were the beer sizes and that she had accidentally misspoken -- wine servings were actually 6oz and 9oz. We had a good chuckle at that. SHORT ANSWER: SFO food is always expensive changing, Lark has been here a while. It is expensive but a nice location with pretty good food and excellent service. LOCATION: on the corner of one of the main connector terminals. You will find it. FACILITY: Tons of seating and a very nice bar with TV's you can see from just about everywhere. Clean, and they turn tables quickly so be patient. MENU: Lots of options, you will find something, some healthy options and some not so much. FOOD PREP: Well done, they knock out a lot of plates here so they do an exceptional job during the rush hours. FOOD QUALITY: Very good, I ordered simple, chowder... it is very good. LIBATIONS: Seemed airport adjusted reasonable and well poured. WAITSTAFF: Super fast, these people work hard, please appreciate their efforts and tip well. OVERALL VALUE: For an airport, it was expensive but worth it to me on this afternoon. TIP: Set your expectations correctly, take your time they will not rush you but if they are slammed maybe dine and let others get a seat as there are more comfortable locations to relax in that terminals. read more

Solid meal option at the SFO airport. The service is always great. The food options are pretty decent. I have had breakfast a few times. The coffee is nothing to sing home about but they seem to be pretty popular with their drinks. The pasta primavera is an excellent vegetarian option for a meal. You have to have some time in hand if dining here, food does take 10-15 mins to arrive. Good place to work or just sit and chat depending on the purpose of your airport visit. read more

One of our party ordered a side of pickled onions (a component of another item on the menu) and they brought a side of raw onion. I've had good food here before (the fish tacos were great), just don't get the chilaquiles. The "salsa roja" they use tastes like jarred Tostitos salsa, and there are about 4 beans that come with it and 1/8 of an avocado. read more

Wanted to grab something to eat on my way out of San Fran at the airport so decided to stop by this spot and eat. I did like at the hostess stand that they asked for when your flight boards, so as to make sure you have enough time to dine there. Pretty cool concept. They actually scanned people's boarding passes to make sure which I liked. Our server truly was fantastic and worked her behind off to make sure that we were well taken care of. I ordered a coke and a chicken sandwich because it sounded pretty darn good at the time. I asked for the dressing on the side, which I never got, but it was fine. No biggy. The sandwich was pretty good. I ate about half of it. Not too bad! They have a pretty extensive menu, too. For airport food, it's not the worst. Not the best either. But can't complain, it filled me up and they got me out of there in time for my flight to board, so it all worked out. read more

I was craving some French toast and this place was the first place in the airport that showed me that they had it. You got to wait to be seated. It was early in the morning so it didn't take too long. I was asked if I could sit in the bar but I declined. Thankfully they seated me at a table for two. A seat for myself and my backpack! It's a large space with lots of tables, booths, and a bar. I had the most amazing server in Tracy. Tracee? I should have checked the spelling. But no matter, she was absolutely a joy. She was so attentive! Made sure to tip her well! I got the French toast with the berries on the side. They give a generous amount of maple syrup as well as two slices of individually wrapped butter. I ate only the strawberries and didn't use the butter though. The French toast was delicious. I ate it well. 5/5 read more

I have such low expectations for airport food. My frequent travels always leave much to be desired, so I was pleasantly surprised with my meal at Lark Creek Grill! Located in SFO Terminal 2 near the D gates, they have a wide range of American options on the menu. I went with a cobb salad to go. When I opened my box, I was shocked to see it full with fresh ingredients. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The toppings were neatly piled on. It was a filling meal and so good! It's always nice to get something fresh when you're on the road and this was great! read more

Yesterday, before my flight out of San Francisco, I had breakfast at this location and ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and ham -- a completely standard meal. Toward the end of the flight, I began experiencing symptoms, and shortly after arriving home I developed a severe foodborne illness: high fever, intense nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The condition was extreme and debilitating. I have traveled extensively and eaten in countless restaurants, including airport locations, and I honestly cannot recall an episode of food poisoning this severe. The timing clearly points to the meal consumed here. What is especially concerning is that the symptoms could have fully escalated mid-flight, creating a serious situation not only for me but potentially for other passengers as well. This raises serious questions about food safety and handling practices at this restaurant. I have attached proof of purchase from my bank records. This level of food safety failure is unacceptable for an airport restaurant. read more

I was waiting for my Southwest evening flight and hadn't had dinner yet. I'm a wheelchair passenger, but can walk short distances with my cane. Lark Creek Grill was right by my departure gate, and I could watch my luggage as I sat down at a table. Rather quickly, a waiter told me I had to move to a 2-top table farther away because my table could seat four. Okay, a little annoying when there were other empty 4-tops. I wanted a healthy dinner, and took a chance on the seared salmon entree with rice & veggies; I got the lovely creamy sauce on the side. I was told this entree could take more than 15 minutes, but it came out in about 10min. The salmon was delicious, but perhaps had been cooked one minute too long. The side of mushrooms and spinach was good, but I only picked at the HUGE portion of white rice. Over all, service was good and the salmon even better. I'd eat here again. read more
