Food (4/5): Ordered the embarcadero and it was solid. A bit overpriced for the sandwich you get and you can't add any custom toppings without a significant fee but the sandwich itself was still good. Service (4/5): The staff were friendly and got the sandwich out fast. No issues and it's mostly a pickup a spot. Ambiance (4/5): Nice pickup sandwich spot in the airport with nearby seating and tables near the gates.

A hot latte for me - made with local Equator Coffees! - brightened my morning airport visit. A made-to-order turkey sandwich satisfied my guy. Klein's hit the spot for what we needed. Beyond made-to-order sandwiches and coffee/tea drinks, they offer pastries, pre-made salads, chips/snacks, and a cold case of canned and bottle beverages. Service was friendly and efficient.

Got a donut here. Tasted like it was a week old. Not a day old. A week old. Airport food does t have to be great, but this is another level. Avoid this place. Plenty of other places in E gate area.

Stop here for a quick bite on a layover. The sandwich was made fresh to order right in front of you. I requested a few ingredients to be added (red onion and cucumbers) to the Castro Sandwich. It was delicious!!!! The service was quick and friendly. The prices were too bad considering it was in an airport. Highly recommend it.

Did the job. Had breakfast sandwiches and regular sandwiches made to order. Perfect easy experience at Terminal 3 (United flights). Everyone was friendly. Lots of coffee options too.

The bad reviews here say 'expensive'. $13-14 for a sandwich or meal at the airport is actually pretty good! Add $5 for chips and a can of Coke and for the price and convenience...I think it is pretty good!!!

FOOD I had their haight sandwich, essentially a BLT sandwich with avocado. It was savory and creamy without being too salty and filling. However, it was definitely on the pricey side $15+, but sadly to be expected due the deli being located in the airport. SERVICE Despite a line out the door, the staff filter through orders very quickly. There are two sections of the deli-- a coffee/pastry counter and the bagel/sandwich counter. The coffee/pastry counter filters through orders much more quickly than the sandwich one, so if you're in a rush, I would grab a bite at this counter instead. AMBIANCE There is no seating available in the deli itself, but ample seating is available in the terminal at various gates or designated eating areas.

The "Castro." Tasty, and hit the spot!

Had an early flight out of SFO, and the hunger was starting to kick in. Came across Klein's Deli and decided that a sandwich would be a good pre-flight meal! On to the food! I ordered the "Castro", which is turkey & roast beef, plus all the fixins', on a French roll. It was tasty and hit the spot! The service was quick and friendly as well! The bonus is that this restaurant is in front of plenty of tables. Overall, this was a great airport meal, and I'd come here again!

Staff are nice and they have a good assortment of sandwiches. I got the veggie breakfast sandwich and it was nice and hot! It needed salt but I think you can request it. It tastes simple. They managed a long line and they were courteous! The veggie breakfast sandwiches had spinach, red pepper, cheddar and egg. The egg was fluffy. They also have Equator Coffee. Overall I had a good experience.

This deli is inside SFO D gate,we are looking for something to eat but not too heavy before our flight and this place have it,we ordered the breakfast bagel with bacon,a bit pricey but all foodplace here have same price points .It was good since they toasted the bagel, service is ok as well as the ambiance, there's enough tables and chairs in front of the deli.

Ask the Community - Klein's Deli

Do you have gluten free bread? If not, can I bring gluten free bread for a sandwich to be made with it?

They usually have gluten free bread, def ask before waiting in line as they don't always have it. Don't know if they will let you use your own bread.

Is this before or after the security check in thing?

Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. We actually have 2 Klein’s Deli’s and both are post security in terminal 3. One is by gate E10 and the other is by gate F 14. Hope to see you there!…

I had a frustrating experience at Little Lucca, primarily because of how the manager, Maria,…read morehandled a simple pickup issue. I placed two separate sandwich orders online through Clover for pickup under my name. I ordered them about 45 minutes before arriving. When I arrived, I showed Maria my receipts and gave her my name. She briefly checked and told me she did not have the orders. The line was long, so I understand things can get hectic, but it did not feel like she was making much of an effort to actually verify the orders. She even misheard my name and was about to hand a sandwich to someone else under a completely different name. At that point, I became concerned that one of my sandwiches might have already been given to another customer. After I continued asking her to check, she somehow found one of my orders in the same area she had already looked. However, only one of the two sandwiches was there. I showed her my Clover receipt again, including the date, timestamp, transaction information, and order details. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she told me she did not know how to use the Clover system and could only search by name. She then told me I needed to contact Clover myself. I was honestly shocked because she was the manager but said she did not know how to use the restaurant's ordering system. When I explained I could not find a customer support number for Clover and asked what she could do to resolve the missing order, her response was essentially, "I don't know what you want me to do about it." I asked how the restaurant communicates with Clover when there is a problem with the system or how they diagnose issues with the device. Again, she said she didn't know and that the owner was responsible for the Clover system. I asked if I could speak with the owner and requested a contact number. She refused to provide one and told me I could come in early on a weekday if I wanted to speak with them. I'm not from the area, so expecting me to make another trip simply to speak with the owner was not a reasonable solution. What made the situation even worse was that I did not receive a refund for the missing sandwich. I paid for two sandwiches but only received one. Despite showing proof of payment and the order details, there was no attempt to refund the missing item or offer a replacement. Whether the missing sandwich was caused by Clover, a restaurant error, or someone accidentally receiving the wrong order, I would have expected the manager to make a reasonable effort to fix the problem. Instead, I was essentially told it wasn't her problem. Mistakes happen. Technology fails. Orders get misplaced. I understand all of that. What matters is how a business handles the problem afterward. In this case, the customer service was extremely poor, and Maria's attitude made the situation considerably worse. I've also noticed other Yelp reviews mentioning similar customer-service issues, which makes me concerned this isn't an isolated experience. I hope the owner sees this review and takes the time to address what happened. Little Lucca might have good food, but good food doesn't excuse poor customer service or charging a customer for an item they never received. I paid for two sandwiches, received one, was not refunded for the missing sandwich, and was given no reasonable solution. Extremely disappointing experience.

I ordered the Godfather sandwich based on previous photos. I thought it was going to be some kind of a loaded sandwich since it was $20 after tax. When I opened the box, I was a little bit worried that I had ordered the wrong sandwich because it was about the size of my hand. I looked at the photos and I thought ma'am it's kind of looks similar, but maybe I'm just missing something as a scale. But if you look at the layers of the meat, there are actually less layers now than there were 12 and eight months ago. I'm not saying it's a bad sandwich. I'm just saying it's a bad value. The Caesar salad seemed like it was prepackaged in a box. The cheese, kind of taste like refrigerator. And there was no lemon or any kind of anchovy sauce or flavor in the dressing. At the time of writing this review, this restaurant has 4.6 stars shame on me for not reading the recent reviews because I'm not sure I would have ventured here if I did.

I opted for one of those sandwiches, getting the turkey sandwich on dutch crunch. From the cross-section of the sandwich, you can tell this is indeed a hearty sandwich. The quantity of meat they provide for the price is plentiful, and the ingredients making the sandwich all tasted fresh. The service was fast and friendly overall.
