Good food and service. The servicer was excellent. The food was hot and delicious. Will make Drakes a place to go often.

A group of 4 of us went here Friday night, got there at 5:00pm. There was one lady that checked -in before us and they quoted her wait time 30-40 mins. The young guy at the hostess stand told her it probably wouldn't take that long. Then we checked -in. They ask you for your phone number and name, tell you they will text you when your table is ready. He quoted me 40-45mins and again told me it may not be that long. Well 20mins after that the lady that checked in before me got sat. So i thought well, good that means we shouldn't be to much longer....... nope!! 4 groups that checked in after us got sat before us some how. I went in at this point and asked how much longer it would be. The manager I guess she was (had a red shirt on) said with a attitude, "you were quoted 45mins. I told her it has been 45 mins and you have sat 4 groups that came in after us before us. That doesn't make any sense. Her reply was "you'll be seated soon". We continued to wait another 20mins after that! When we finally got sat they put us 4 at a table ment for 2 people! There was no room for our drinks and food when it got to our table!! 2 of us got sushi, it was good. One got steaks, he said it had no flavor. The Bourbon tasted more like bbq sauce. The other got a burger and said it was cold and very dry. We were disappointed with our experience here. They need to pay attention to group size more and place them at appreciate tables. Also their hostess may need more training on how to work the waiting system. read more

I ordered a margarita. It took quite a while for them to prepare, and when our server brought it, the drink was watered down. They hardly added any tequila to it. The meal I ordered was chili with a grilled cheese sandwich/ add-on. The grilled cheese was fine. The menu stated that the chili was full of beef; so, I chose it. It was full of kidney beans and tomato chunks and very little hamburger meat sauce. It was not good at all. Super pricey, too. My family's steaks were mostly rare, when they asked for medium! They had to take them home to cook properly. I have to say that I was very disappointed. I will never order their "chili" again. Server was good, food....not so much. read more

First time at Drake's. Great open atmosphere which allows a lot of seating given the fact that we are in lockdown thanks to Gov. Pritzker, ugh. Food was good and there were plenty of TVs for sports fans, which I am. Nice selection of beers, whiskeys. Old Fashions were very nice. We will go back again! read more

Came here last night 8/17 for dinner with a friend . Bad service for the waiter . Took forever to get my food and once I got it it was cold to the touch as if it had sat out for 30 minuets after it was cooked . (While everyone else was getting they're food quickly) . If someone acts like they don't want my money then they will not get it from me . Will never come back . Would give zero stars if I could read more

hospitality does not exist here. Bartender completely ignored us, our waitress was non existent. Horrible service. Once it seemed they got things together the service was ok. Food was good, we both had burgers but my fries were old and cold. For me a simple so sorry we are super slammed bear with us instead of ignoring us would be great. read more

So glad to see a restaurant doing well during these times. We ordered a salad and burger to go. The salad was ordered and paid for with an additional grilled chicken, but it came without! BROOOO. IVE NEVER HAD SUSHI SO BAD! Ordered the Spicy Roll and normally it's warm when made fresh. It was refrigerator cold and gummy all three times I ordered it. Went to the guys making it...they assured me it fresh steamed rice and that my server was the reason it was cold. NOT TRUE. This was my second visit. First visit was with a party of 5 wait time was 90 minutes. We decided to go elsewhere. Second time was a party of 2 we got right in . My wife ordered the pretzels and a beer ( large selection of beers) I got the grilled chicken and broccoli . I asked for hot sauce and it was delivered promptly . Simple meals but good. Waitress checked on us several times along with a manager or assistant manager checking on people . We sat on the left side of the restaurant on the patio. Sort of open air and it was comfortable. I did notice a person wiping down all the menus after the people left the table. That was nice to see especially with what's going on. Looking forward to eating there again . read more

WORST EXPERIENCE. Waited an hour and half at restaurant for online food order to be ready. Watched car after car and customer after customer come and go. Spoke to 4 different employees who did not give response on status of the order or even acknowledge that i was speaking to them. Order included a salad, burger, and salmon--not a complicated order The online order pick up is extremely disorganized. Workers were standing around not even acknowledging anyone picking up orders and doing nothing to help. Excuse was they had too many orders but they couldnt even tell us what our status was and were not apologetic at all. Finally spoke with manager who really did nothing. Yelp says 1 star is "not good" but my experience here was "just plain awful". The food is just ok. It's typical pub food. Places like this are about the total experience and there are plenty of places just like this for me to take my business. 2 hours to have a beer and a sandwich as you watch your fellow patrons receive their meals within 15-20 minutes? After multiple tables (seated way after us) received their appetizers AND their dinner order, we wanted to ask about our food. Problem was our server was MIA or doing the age old "avoiding eye contact" technique. I finally had to interrupt her chatting up friends at another table and inquire (2nd time) about our food. She said it was ready but still on the line and she would get it. Huh? This was clearly not true because 15 more minutes passed and still no food or waitress. Now the manager comes over and said the waitress is new and they were having trouble preparing the fish sandwich. Again Huh?! It takes over an hour to fry fish? The BS is really flowing now. Food finally comes out but now the manager and waitress can't believe I'm still a little upset about the service and wait time. Then they both actually start to cop a bit of an attitude. Unreal. Moral of the story - As anyone in the service industry knows, if you make a mistake just OWN it. We're in a pandemic, people will almost always understand. When you try to BS your way out of a mistake, cop an attitude when you're called on it, it just makes the customer angrier and less forgiving.
