I feel for you small town folks if this is the best you have in grand junction. Inedible horrible breakfast. Like legitimately the worst breakfast I've ever been served. If Mexicans knew you were serving tacos that taste like they're filled with water instead of the potato and egg you put in there they'd hop in the kitchen and make you some real food. Green chilli?? Water in a bowl. Hoooowww do you make everything taste like water?!?! Go ANYWHERE but here. A gas station has more nourishing food

First time here. The Food was amazing! From the Maverick Bene to the Malibu Chicken sandwich. You have to partake in a cinnamon roll. One of the best ever! I can't wait to try the blueberry muffin pancakes and the banana bread French toast. Thank you for a great breakfast to hit the road on!

I stopped here for breakfast on a trip to Grand Junction and really enjoyed my experience! The interior cute and the vibe reminds me of the Snooze chain in Denver. The servers were lovely and friendly. There is a variety of morning cocktails, including mimosas, bloody marys and spiked coffee. I tried the strawberry mimosa which was really delicious and a sizable drink. My partner got the cinnamon roll french toast (not pictured) and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend getting this. We also were kind enough to have gotten a cinnamon roll on the house, so we were able to compare the two. Both were respectively food but I say the French toast is the way to go! I ordered the white water breakfast wrap, which was good, but I thought it could've used more seasoning or a dipper on the side- like salsa. There was ample seating inside and outdoor seating out front. Dream cafe offers vegetarian, vegan, non-dairy, and gluten free accommodations. this is a good spot to come with a friend or a bigger group. I would definitely come back here on another trip!

Breakfast time. But let's start with some coffee.

Ordered the French toast and when it came out, it tasted like onion. I told the server and she said oh sorry we must've used the same pan to make an omelette no refund no offer for anything nope.

As a long-time restaurant owner, I was excited to try the Dream. The place was busy and a bit noisy. The cinnamon roll was good. My husband's Mavric Bennie was good. My salmon Bennie should have been good, but there was disgusting skin left on half of the salmon. There was also an upcharge on the already high prices, .75 per egg, so $1.50 per meal. The Dream had this printed on the menu, not an added sticker. This makes no sense. Put the real price on the menu. When I asked the hostess, she rudely responded, "Read the menu." The server noticed the large piece of salmon with skin on it pushed to the side, but chose not to ask about it.

The cinnamon roll was amazing. Definitely give it a try and you can share it.

We went in on a Saturday, we had a party of 11 we had to wait a few minutes when they set up for us. We tried their cinnamon roll and we split it amongst the table. It was so good. Loved the caramel sauce. For breakfast a lot of us shared plates because the servings were so big. Dream Café is very clean and loved the modern look. The house plate was amazing as was the avocado Benedict. When we tried to go back on Sunday, we were pressed for time so couldn't wait the 15 minutes, but definitely would go back again.

Solid breakfast spot with some tasty options and wonderful service. We passed by on a Sunday during what appeared to be their rush hour (10-11am) there where lots of folks waiting but the wait was totally reasonable at like 20 minutes or so. This spot was definitely the busiest out of all the nearby options. The food was delicious. They do not have an espresso machine tho so no cappuccino or lattes, only regular coffee (there is a coffee shop right next door though if u are picky). Staff was friendly and attentive and I would certainly come here often if I lived near by.

If you're looking for a great breakfast spot in Grand Junction, this is your place. My husband and I shared: - AM Burrito - Cinnamon Roll French Toast The burrito was very good, but the cinnamon roll french toast was the star of the show. It was one of the best french toasts I've ever had. Make sure to ask for the caramel and icing along with the syrup. They come with the cinnamon roll, but for some reason the french toast comes with less sauce options. There isn't dedicated parking, but we were able to find a spot on the street after some searching. We got there a bit after noon on a Sunday and there was no wait. I'd definitely come back because there were more things I wanted to try.

Great eats at this breakfast spot in Grand Junction. Very generous portions! I went here with my boyfriend and grandpa while we were in town visiting. Everyone enjoyed their meals. No long wait to get in, despite being a breakfast spot on a Sunday. And friendly service. The only thing that would elevate the experience is if they had a coffee bar where guests could order lattes, cappuccinos, etc. If you're looking for some solid eats in downtown Grand Junction, you won't be disappointed here! Just stop at a coffee shop on your way in if you're someone like me that lies having a tasty caffeinated drink to go with their meal!

Got a "good" breakfast burrito to go instead of eating reprocessed eggs at the nearby Marriott. The green chili salsa was very good.

The food was good and the serving size was solid. A basic breakfast spot. I wouldn't say the food holds up to how popular/the wait time was.

Enough about logistics and my biscuit history, lets talk Alarado. The biscuits. Whatever you get, you have to try it with the biscuit. Personally went with the sausage, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich with pepper jack and the BISCUIT ofc. There's something surreal about eating a delicious biscuit breakfast sandwich at 7:00 am in the morning when its raining outside. I'm surprised I even got a photo of it before demolishing it. Now underrated co-start is the breakfast burrito. Because my back is big, I also got a chorizo breakfast burrito with green chili. Goodness gracious, that one also was a banger seriously. Biscuit sandwich or burritos are definitely the move I'd say here. Go get your biscuit on.

My wife and I were really excited to check out Devil's Kitchen during our time in Grand Junction…read more It sits up on the rooftop of the Hotel Maverick. We decided to drop in without a reservation. The host was honestly pretty weird about it. He told us he had to go ask his waiters if they would even agree to take us. Truth be told, that is a bizarre way to welcome paying guests. They ultimately found a spot for us. Then they abandoned us for a solid fifteen minutes before anyone even approached the table. We finally ordered our drinks and watched another twenty minutes tick away. I went with the CMU Centennial Manhattan. It is built with a Colorado bourbon, sweet vermouth, local hot honey, bitters, and a bordeaux cherry. A proper Manhattan needs a careful balance between the whiskey and the sweet vermouth to round out the bite. Honestly, they were just way too heavy-handed with that hot honey. It was so aggressively spicy that it just wasn't enjoyable. My wife ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop. Hers was actually perfectly balanced with a really nice citrus kick. We put in an order for the Deviled Kitchen Eggs. Another twenty minutes passed before they hit the table. They make them with a tempura fried egg white and an herb yolk. I appreciate the attempt at a crispy texture. They were decent but ultimately nothing special. My wife ordered the Bison Tip Pappardelle. I decided on the Roasted Dirty Hippie Half Chicken. They use a local Palisade beer marinade for the chicken. I ordered it with duck fat potato dippers and truffle yucca on the side. Another thirty minutes crawled by before the main courses arrived. Both dishes were just huge letdowns. The pappardelle noodles were completely stuck together in a starchy clump. The wild mushroom cream sauce was overly sweet and cloying instead of savory. The bison meat was tough and tasted exactly like plain boiled beef. There was absolutely nothing enjoyable about that pasta dish. My chicken wasn't any better. It had a terribly rubbery texture. It felt like it was roasted three days ago and lazily reheated. The skin was soggy and gross instead of crisp and properly rendered. The duck fat dippers were completely missing that deep, savory richness you expect when cooking with animal fats. The truffle yucca was actually pretty tasty. A good side dish just can't make up for a terrible main course, though. We didn't bother asking for a second round of drinks. The food was so poor that we skipped dessert and just asked for the check. The panoramic view of the Colorado National Monument from the rooftop is fantastic. A beautiful sunset just isn't enough to excuse a bad dinner, though. We expected a much higher-end culinary experience. What we got felt like a bunch of college students running a very disorganized experiment. I would definitely skip this spot.

I could mention several criticisms of recent managerial decisions, but I'll just limit it to one. The "American Breakfast" has disappeared, replaced by an a la carte ordering model. I assume this reflects price creep and the reality that the market will not support a $20 counter-service breakfast (especially one that prompts for pre-tipping) when a comparable $12 option is available across the street at a full-service restaurant. Combined with long wait times and lukewarm food, caused by either amateurs in the kitchen or lackadaisical food delivery by the counter-staff, Cafe Sol has regretfully moved to my "occasionally OK" list.
