I saw an advertisement on Yelp for a "new year special" with 25% off services $35 and up. It was a great location so I decided to check it out. I told a screenshot of the deal when I saw it last week. Today, I got my nails and toes done and presented the coupon at checkout. I was told it wasn't good anymore and that it was "taken down" so I couldn't use it. Even though it clearly stated through January 31st on the coupon. I wanted to like this place but this combined with the way they remove your dip manicure (literally just soaking your fingers in acetone/nail polish remover while you breathe in the fumes for 20 minutes) made me leave unsatisfied. One day later...my fingers burn because of the small cuts the nail technician caused on 7 of my fingers. I believe this happened because my skin was dried out from the acetone soaking. The tool she used was also too harsh and was obviously causing pain. Changed my review from 2 to 1 stars. read more

I visited Dreams yesterday and I am very pleased with my nails. I just relocated in the loop and I've been on the search for a nail salon I can frequent often. The staff is very accommodating and service you very quickly. My nails are beautiful and it was a very painless experience and that matters to me most because I always get "cut" by nail techs! I came here on a Thursday afternoon for a pedicure and gel manicure. I waited for a while before someone came over to do my nails. Two women came in after me and they started complaining about the wait and were helped before I was and had two people working on them (one for the mani and one for the pedi), while I only had one person doing my pedi and mani. The pedicure kept getting interrupted because another customer was complaining about her pedicure, so the woman doing my nails had to go over multiple times to help. The pedicure came out great and I'm happy with it. However, the gel manicure was really mediocre. I chose a lilac color and it came out patchy. It also chipped within a couple days and I ended up peeling it off after less than a week. Gel manicures usually last me two weeks and this one didn't even last a week. The workers are all really nice, but holy moly, the service is SLOW. It took an hour and a half for me to get both the pedicure and gel mani done. I don't live in Houston, but if I'm ever in the area again, I would not go here to get my nails done. read more

Firstly, the employees were very unprofessional when bringing us to the nail station. We didn't know where to go and they ignored us. We requested very specific shapes and they were unable to deliver. I wanted almond and ended up with oval. My friend requested for the technician to file down her nails some more and she was ignored. The nail polish is sloppy and doesn't completely cover the nail. Overall, it was a bad experience and I definitely won't be returning. Don't go here if you want your nails to look the way you pictured. read more

I called ahead and made an appointment for two shellac pedicures. When we arrive there is only one other customer there. We are seated quickly but right away, I knew something was off. I let the person doing my toes know that I had shellac on and to take it off she only left the foil on for a couple of minutes and then proceeded to use a cuticle cutter to pick off the old shellac. This process alone took 30+ minutes. Meanwhile, my friend is already over half way done with her shellac pedicure, so I tell the person doing mine that I just want regular polish because I no longer have time to get the shellac done. The actual pedicure was AWFUL! I could have done a better and faster job if I did it at home. I finally go to check out an hour and a half later and the main person who I spoke with on the phone doesn't even ask how it was. He tells me its $40!!!! For a regular spa pedicure with nail polish (that looks terrible). I told him I was very disappointed in how it turned out he didn't have anything to say.. I will not be going back. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The new owner is extremely unprofessional and rude. I came here to get a shellac pedicure and a dip polish manicure. The nail tech that did my toes knew I wanted Shellac, but instead she accidentally did regular polish and then did a shellac top coat. So after she competes the entire pedicure (it took an hour) the owner comes over to my toes and starts aggressively filing the crap out of my toes without telling me any explanation. Obviously I'm extremely confused since there wasn't anything wrong with my toes so I ask my nail tech, Nam, why he's filing the polish off and He proceeds to tell me that I hit the top of the uv light when they were drying from the shellac and blatantly lies to me. I knew that wasn't the real reason because there was not a single smudge on my toes and I knew I hadn't hit the top so I have a confused look on my face and then finally another tech, Katie comes over and tells me the real reason that the previous tech had messed up and only done nail polish instead of the shellac, so it was THEIR mistake and they needed to fix it. I appreciated her being honest, but the reality is it shouldn't take the third person working on your toes and nails to tell you the truth... you would think the owner would be honest and have the courtesy to do so, especially when your nails have to take the grunt of it when they have to be filed for the second time and the whole process done AGAIN. So at this point, the correct took over another hour, so I'm at 2+ hours for a simple pedicure. And when I approached the owner and said why weren't you honest and told me what happened he then proceeded to get mad I even brought it to my attention and charged me $55 for the worst pedicure of my life. On top of that, my nails have never come out worse, the entire side is crooked and uneven! This owner doesn't know how to provide customer service is values making a quick buck even when he and his team has made a huge mistake that he should have made right. This place is awful and if you're looking for an actual nice nail salon with great customer service, go to Nail-Tique where they actually value their customers and take pride in their business unlike this shady place. read more

First impression: very clean, spacious & plenty of seating. It was late Sunday, so not sure how crowded they get, but I enjoyed the quiet after a busy weekend. I got a regular pedi & shellac mani and they did a great job and had tons of colors to choose from. They also gave me 20% off, so it was an even better deal! I've been coming here since it was Roulas and paying double the normal nail salon price due to Roulas cleanliness policy. To me they have devolved into any other nail place. Don't waste your time. I made an appointment, but ended up waiting 20 minutes before the told me it would be an additional 15 minutes before they could get to me. Other customers had been waiting longer than me and still had not gotten service. During the 29 minutes I was there, two women walked in complaining about their nails chipping that they had just had done a few days before. Loved it. First of all I'm pretty picky when it comes to clean and this place was squeaky clean. The basins were all lined with disposable liners and all the techs wore gloves. The nail implements were in sealed packets and opened on station. The pedicure was excellent and very reasonable. I will definitely be a regular. read more
