Surf & turf Benedict ~ deLISH!!
    Lynda B.

Visiting family in Elko we HAD to try Dreez after perusing the menu and seeing pictures of the yummyyy offerings. We popped in for breakfast and were immediately greeted by the staff and quickly our table was ready. Menu is extensive with SO manyyy options to choose from that we decided to share a few things andd get our own too. The MUST dish for me that morning was the Surf & Turf Benedict w/2 poached eggs, steak, shrimp, house made chipotle hollandaise sauce and the side dish to compliment this already yummy dish chile' infused hash browns - absolutely deLISH!! For my hubby & FIL they shared the Biscuit & Gravy Meal w/baked biscuits smothered in gravy served with 2 over-medium eggs plus the chile' infused hash browns - yummyyy!! We all three shared the green colored Pistachio flavored waffle with powdered sugar and pistachio pieces - this was TO DIE FOR, especially if you have a hankering for something sweet and uniquely different and yummilicious. Overall GREAT service, cute inviting inside with an open floor that has a bar to greet you as you step inside along with friendly staff. Definitely a MUST for a yummyyy breakfast whether you are in Elko or passing through.

Garlic bacon cheddar fries , loaded French dip and jersey shore

The atmosphere is really relaxed playing GREAT reggae music. Our server Alisha U was great and knew what to recommend. We ordered garlic cheddar fries for appetizer the garlic is actually cooked not like most in Elko . The French dip was amazing flavor meat was tender , veggies cooked to perfection . The jersey shore was meh not too much flavor . They serve liquor

We were in town for a wedding and our friend who is from Elko suggested 3 spots for brunch, Dreez being one of them. After looking through the menus for all 3 places, my husband picked Dreez because he was intrigued by the green chile infused hashbrowns. I'm so glad he picked Dreez because we had a great experience! We came in on a Saturday around 12pm and were seated right away without a wait. They have a big breakfast menu that is served all day, there's something for everyone. My husband got the country fried steak meal and I went with the benny blackstone. He loved his country fried steak, you could tell it was hand breaded and the gravy was really flavorful. The benedict was very tasty and was made with regular bacon instead of canadian bacon, then covered in their delicious chipotle hollandaise sauce! Our favorite part of the meal was the chile infused hashbrowns. If you come here and get any other side, shame on you! You're really missing out. Not only do they have a kick to them, they are also quite cheesy. They were amazing, I easily could've had a whole plate of just these hashbrowns! There were a lot of other unique items on the menu that I would've loved to try like their pistachio waffles, strawberry crepes, and churro french toast. Our food came out within 15mins of ordering. Service was good, the waitress checked on us a few times despite having a busy lunch crowd. This was the perfect brunch spot, we enjoyed having a great meal and then taking a stroll of downtown afterwards to look at some of the art murals. We will come back next time we are back in Elko!

Cute cafe style restaurant. Very crowded. Must be popular with the locals. Got seated quickly at the bar top. Server was nice and quick. Ordered the Benny and hash browns + a mimosa. The mimosa was much more OJ than champagne, hate that. The Benny was very good. Liked the touch of diced tomatoes. Not a traditional hollandaise sauce, but really good. The hash browns tasted like they were made from dried potatoes, didn't love them.

BREAKFAST at Dreez! What a great start to the day with a Greek Goddess omelette for moi and biscuits and gravy and a bowl of Mexican fruit salad for the daughter! The service was fantastic from the hostess to our server and the food was delicious and satisfying! It was enough fuel to get me up the hike in Lamoille and maybe too much for the daughter who back pedaled and took a nap while I finished out the hike!! WTH?! Go, eat and live your best life! ~Your LV friend and foodie :)

Dreez is 100% worth stopping at for breakfast or lunch if you are driving through Elko. Service was fast and friendly. Our food was delicious, and there were lots of choices. They do a great job advertising their items on instagram, and my caesar chicken wrap with sweet potato waffle fries looked exactly like the photo they posted. I had a huckleburry mule to drink, and it was scrumptious. Especially if you're driving on 80 to or from Salt Lake City, your weary bones will appreciate a 45 minute rest at Dreez.

I can see why the reviews are so favorable. Our group stopped here for breakfast . The inside was shabby chic and so clean. I had to try one of the amazing Eggs Benedict offerings - the complete menu was unique and inquiring minds would enjoy trying all the curated dishes. I opted for the Half and Half : One Egg Benedict One sausage biscuit with gravy A M A Z I N G !!! The iced tea was so much better then most unsweetened iced tea and boy do they give you a nice size drink . The patio outside looks nice and inviting. This is definitely a must to try in Elko !

My first time here and walking in the ambiance was super chill and the workers greeted us and were super kind! BUT the minute we are seated and the waitress takes our order she's super rude. I understand the food service industry gets a lot of hate but she fr just had a nasty attitude. I'm eager to eat let's see if the food is better than the service. Tried the food.... Not good. I'm a fluffy pancake gal and they're not fluffy they taste like cake batter and I didn't know that when I'd ask for strawberries on my pancakes I'd be getting strawberry jam so that's just my preference of not liking jam/jelly. Also found a hair in my eggs

Friendly. Very good breakfast. And, they have a "senior" version, which I like so as not to have so much waste. Well done!

The dough maker, whom I believe was named Aliza (apologies if I have the name wrong), was there preparing fresh dough, which was wonderful to see. I was fortunate to find a few pastries still available, including the Chile Verde and Beef with Cabbage. The Beef with Cabbage pastry was flavorful and especially enjoyable with their homemade "Hot & Spicy" sauce. While I would have preferred the pastry dough to be a bit crispier, I purchased it after hours and was still very pleased with the quality and taste. Overall, it was a delightful surprise and a very enjoyable experience. I also picked up one Chocolate Brownie with walnuts and a slice of their homemade Carrot cake. I had the carrot cake and it was outstanding! Fresh, flavorful, and loaded with carrots and walnuts, it was everything a great carrot cake should be. I've enjoyed desserts at five-star restaurants and have family members that easily ranks among the best bakers and this cake was delicious!!! Every mouthful was pure deliciousness, and my taste buds were extremely happy. I would gladly order it again!

I got the chicken kabob and my husband had the chicken shawarma. Both were packed with incredible flavor and super satisfying! We couldn't resist grabbing the baklava and a slice of Dubai cheesecake for dessert, and both were fantastic. The restaurant was clean, and the team was welcoming. They quoted us a 20-minute wait, but our food was ready even faster. A quick note for management: We took our meal to a nearby dog park and realized we weren't packed any utensils or napkins. Since a lot of road trippers stop by, having forks and napkins in to-go bags automatically would be a huge help! (Had to get creative as you can see in the photo ). Overall, delicious food and great service!Just remember to double-check for utensils before heading out!

I'm out here traveling east on the 80 with my crew blasting along the freeway at 80 mph (that's the…read morespeed limit here!) and the crew is grumbling about getting some food. They didn't wanna wait till even Wendover, cause there might not be any good food way out there. OK, so, I pull into the Gold Dust West. I've stopped here before and I do like the food they have at the Grill coffee shop inside the casino. We get seated and drink orders taken. You know I do notice a sandwich on the menu I never had before. It's the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Usually I'd think grilled cheese was a boring sandwich you order for kids or something. But I saw it had bacon and tomato in it. You do have you choice of cheese (besides American) and choice of bread. I got it on sourdough and cheddar cheese along with onion rings ($2.00 extra). I couple of my crew got the same but with fries. The other girl on the crew got the Cali Omelet. Our food arrives and I'm surprised at the heft of the grilled cheese on sourdough. I bite in and wow, this is pretty damn tasty! It's not what I expected at all, better! The other guys liked it too and said they'd get this sandwich again. OK, I was impressed with this new grilled cheese and I think they have it at all the other Gold Dust west locations in Reno and Carson City. Once seated, our experience was a mix of highs and "almosts." - Appetizer: We started with the fried pickles -- crisp, flavorful, and addictive -- though a seasoned dipping sauce would have taken them to the next level. - Entrées: Antonio ordered the prime rib, advertised at 12 oz, but it appeared a bit smaller than expected. Portion sizes for his sides, however, were generous and satisfying. I went with the penne alla vodka but received penne with marinara instead. While the garlic bread was decent, I missed the creamy, robust vodka sauce that was promised. - Service: A little on the slow side, though staff were polite once they arrived at the table. Overall, the food was decent, but not quite on target. We're planning to give them another try for breakfast -- here's hoping that meal hits closer to the mark.
