A place that is off of the beaten path, has great drinks and food, for a decent price, worth stopping into. Thanks.

The parking lot was packed, but we were starving, so we went inside and found the brightest bar we've ever seen. Obviously the lights were on full strength for bingo night and it was full of people having fun playing Bingo! The bar was full all the way around, but we found one tiny, empty table on the wall that we were able to snag! We ordered our drinks from the bar and a server came out to take our orders. We started with the taco fries, which were on special, since it was Taco Tuesday - so yummy! We caught the last couple of rounds of bingo...while we waited for our food. We enjoyed watching and listening to everyone play bingo. The menu was loaded with choices and we both ended up ordering the Philly Cheesesteak. This was a fun time with yummy food...so we can't wait to visit again!

The billboard says "where the locals go" so We thought it would be good. We were happy we did. I had the Perch and my husband had the all you can eat Pollock. Both were very good but surprisingly I liked the pollock better. Great service We definitely will be back.

My husband and I are on a mission this summer, searching for the best Friday Fish Fry near us…read more After 10 Friday meals, Cattails is leading the way. The place is newer and very comfortable with a great bar, if you need to wait a bit for your table. We waited only 10 minutes and we did not mind. At all. A cut WAY above the rest are the Classic Old Fashioneds, served the way they should be -- heavy on your choice of bourbon and very light on the soda. (Definitely NOT Wisconsin Style.) I had a smoked Old Fashioned that was one of the best I've ever had! But the meal got better! A salad bar is not a requirement for a fish fry, but it sure goes a long way. Fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the meal. We both ordered the perch. I had a baked potato side and he had the fries. Best perch we've had -- light on breading, hot and not oily at all. Service was excellent and we decided to have a second Old Fashioned back in the bar for dessert. We'll be back!

You can't get that every where. That's why we love this place, the staff and owners are so friendly, a great hometown feel. Also they make great muddled old fashions and if you want something different try a smoked old fashion. You go to Cattails once I know your going go back.

This place is a classic Wisconsin restaurant. The decor is impressive. I really like looking at the local game on the wall. Some of it is actually for sale. You can come in with blaze orange or snowmobile clothes and fit right in. Almost all meals come with an all you can eat salad bar and a side. The fish is excellent and tastes fresh. An a you can eat Friday fish fry (with salad and a side) comes up 10.99. It's an excellent deal. There pizza is good and I like their soups. My mom says it's one of the best Reuben's in the area. The beer list is solid, plenty on tap and in bottles. Everything is fairly priced. As far as the service, I can't think of a time where they weren't attentive. Sometimes it might take a little longer to get the food, but it's always fresh to order. I love coming to this place. It's a classic Wisconsin restaurant just outside of town.

The ranch tasted like horseradish. It would have made more sense in the Bloody Mary than as a dipping sauce. My wife ordered a salmon burger, but apparently they couldn't figure out how to make one and came back to us twice to say "you might have to order something else". I don't need a lot, just know how to do the things you have on your menu. I also asked for any Wisconsin beers on tap, to which I was told there were none. When I noticed the New Glarus ads on the wall I questioned that original statement and sure nuff, WI beers were available. I asked the server what he thought about the ranch (literally had him try it) and he said "man, you threw me for a loop there... That's crazy". Which to me doesn't sound like an endorsement of the ranch, yet he did nothing to fix the problem. Lump all this with the super long wait time between people bringing us drinks or offering assistance and it makes for a really tough experience. They did have a meat raffle and big TVs showing the Brewers, so they get a point for that. Beyond that, would not return and to anyone going there, keep your expectations low.

Right by the docks where we were is the Bridge Bar and restaraunt. They have ample indoor seating and a large patio overlooking the docks and river. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the Burbon Bacon Mushroom Burger. Any one of those items are good, but all 4 together, that's a grand slam. I enjoyed the river view and a beer while I waited. People fishing, boaters cruising the river, and nice patio dining. My burger was up in about a half hour. This qwa a 1/3 pound burger topped with crispy applewood smoked bacon, mushrooms and provolone cheese served with bourbon sauce. It came with a side of crispy potato chips. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium and the melted cheese ran down the sides of the bun when I bit into it. It was loaded with sautéed mushrooms and crispy thick sliced bacon. The burger was drizzled with a sweet and tangy sauce that had hint of Bourbon. The chips may have been homemade, I'm not sure, but there were plenty of them. This burger will forever live on my best burger list. This meal and this place is worth returning to when in Fremont again
