Ah it is OK. I am on a mission to find my favorite pizza in Delco, and I reckon I've eliminated Drexel Hill Pizza from contention. Which is fine. Not everyone can be a winner. But the people working there were so nice and quick that I have to give them a little credit. The restaurant was actually kinda nice on the inside. It reminded me of an old school Pizza Hut buffet restaurant, if you remember those. Kinda nice, but not uppity. Also being BYOB is cool. I always appreciate that. Pizza is fine. I actually prefer Domino's, if I'm being honest. And it is a little on the pricey side. I'm sure I'll eventually go back, given its proximity to my home and that they have good seating, but probably won't be on the forefront of my mind when looking for pizza in the future. read more

This place is the definition of average. I'm judging strictly on the pizza. There's nothing wrong with it. There's also nothing special about it. It's mostly cheese with very little sauce. It's a Pan style with a crust that is more chewy than crisp. It just doesn't have the balance I like. It's really nice inside and the person who served me was really nice. It's the type of place I wouldn't mind sitting in and having a meal. And on the plus side, I kind of liked the mini tacos. They give you a lot of them too. They're literally the same that a lot of local pizza places use too, but I'm not complaining. Next time I'll sit in the dining room eating mini tacos. That will work for me. I will say that my 8 year old son and his friend each ate three slices. So it's good kid pizza. read more

Great wings, but the pizza was so awful, the kids wouldn't eat it, and I can even get them to eat Dominos. First, I thought they handed me an empty box; it was so light, I was actually shocked to see it had anything in it. Light on sauce, dry, and worthless in my opinion. They charged me $1 for half pepperoni and $1.95 for half bacon, that's almost $3 for one layer of toppings on what they call a large pizza (closer to medium for the rest of the world), and no one was willing to eat it. If it looks like 25% of it was eaten, it wasn't - in the trashnitvweNever again. UPDATE 8/7/2020: Ordered wings to pickup. I walk in and a customer is waiting while talking on the phone and no mask. I look around and see 3 employees and the owner - no only are they not wearing masks, but when I asked about nobody wearing any masks, they all had To scramble to get one. Then the owner tries to tell me that "when people come in, THEN we wear a mask". I call bullshit; you didn't have one handy when I walked in, and there was a customer inside talking on the phone. And how does the owner know if any of the workers may be carrying the virus but may still be a-symptomatic. I should have told them that I didn't want the order anymore, but instead I took it, trashed all of the wrapping, and microwaved the wings to kill anything that may have been in them. THIS is exactly why I don't like drive-thru or delivery service - you don't know how careless people are with your food as you can't witness their habits. Updating my review because I had a horrible experience. Took an hour for my food to get here. I ordered. Turkey wrap with potato chips. It came with about ten, stone cold French fries and wrap with maybe one slice of turkey. Really ridiculous. I personally don't like pan pizza because the crust is more like dry flavorless cardboard, so this shop has that going against it from the get-go. I ordered a margarita pizza and upside down pizza, I liked the sauce but the cheese on the margherita was lacking! It was terrible, all crust and little sauce and cheese, it was a colorful slice of cardboard, That aside, the upside down had what I can only assume is the correct amount of sauce and cheese because the flavors of both were enough to make me forget how bland the crust actually is. My wife actually liked the upside down, so maybe there is a glimmer of hope for this place. In my mind though, there is better pizza within two miles. read more

Ordered 2 salads for delivery - cost over $30 alone with tax tip and delivery fee. Fine, that's a bit high but no problem. My salad was fine, but the website says all salads come with a garlic roll on the side, and mine was missing - Strike 1. My wife's salad, on the other hand, was requested no olives and no anchovies. There were no olives, but anchovies all over it - and no feta cheese which the salad included. Also, no garlic roll - Strike 2. We called Drexel Hill Pizza & Grill to find out what happened and what we could do, and were told that there was nothing they could do about it and we'd have to order again or get food from somewhere else - Strike 3. Horrible customer service, overpriced food and they'll screw your order up. We are new two the area and are looking for a staple, but this is obviously not that place. Went here last friday night for the first time. It's cute inside, yet also cozy. One of the workers (I am assuming the owner) was going around to the tables, saying hi to everyone. He actually sat down with the couple next to use, and brought out a fruit tray for them and talked with them for awhile...I am not sure if he knew them or not but it was a nice gesture. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp (picture to follow) which was actually very good - I find that bacon-wrapped anything is yummy. I also had a burger, which was good. The waitress was pretty good, all of the workers were quite nice. We were on a strict time schedule, and everything moved along at a fairly nice pace. Will definitely be coming back again. read more

My family and I used to go here often. . . keywords "used to." The food here is actually pretty decent (with the exception of the greasy pizza) but the service is a completely different story. Over the past 2 or 3 months, the takeout service has gotten progressively worse. Every time we placed an order for pick up (we would typically go here 2-3 times a month), there was an issue. The issues ranged from missing items, to incorrect items, to taking an order for mozzarella sticks when you were out of them and not notifying the customer before pickup occurred. Most recently, our order was "lost" and then it had turned out that it was given to another customer - we ended up waiting almost an hour to receive our order all while dealing with a rude cashier who made a few attempts to get us to pay before actually receiving our order, which, in the end, was incorrect yet again. When we actually tried to talk to the owner about what happened, he wanted nothing of it. Sorry, Drexel Hill Pizza, but you will no longer be getting any service from my family and I will be sure to spread the word about our experiences there. Because he was raised with the standards of New York pizza, my Fiancé is a definite pizza snob. I grew up making my own pizza every friday night, and so I hate it when pizzas don't taste fresh and are made with canned ingredients and fall under the snob category as well. We've tried nearly every single pizza joint within a 10-mile radius and Drexel Hill Pizza is the only one that we can both agree on as being good. Their crust is just a little bit springy but not too dense, the bottom and edges are usually just slightly caramelized and crispy, their cheese is tasty without being bland or overly-greasy, and their vegetables are actually fresh! DEATH TO ALL CANNED MUSHROOMS! We love Drexel Hill. Love them. Even though they trashed up the place by putting those tacky beer signs up, going into the restaurant is actually a really good experience! Don't be taken aback by how horrendous it looks from the outside. The inside is casual enough that you don't have to worry if you're just there to share a pie and head home for the night, but intimate enough that we frequently go there for date nights. In-person, their pasta meals are AMAZING. Seriously. The eggplant parm is perfectly crispy and they top it with fresh basil and plate it in a way that isn't fancy-schmancy, but doesn't look gross and thrown down haphazardly. When they deliver pasta, they seem to take significantly less care, with the pasta itself often being either completely un-sauced or entirely over-sauced. They also ALWAYS melt the lids on their plastic containers. Seriously, we order from them at least once a week and have never gotten a container that wasn't melted. Even though the taste is above and beyond when you dine in, they NEVER disappoint when they deliver. The delivery guys are awesome, and their food always gets to us in a surprisingly short amount of time. I've also had extremely pleasant interactions over the phone when I've called in to order something absolutely ridiculous, like the time I just wanted a sub roll full of sautéed mushroom, fresh tomatoes, and melted provolone cheese. Go to Drexel Hill, order from them... Whatever. Just give them your money! And Drexel Hill Pizza Grill, we gotta talk. You've got to update your website. Your menu is completely incorrect on there. Also, get on Grub Hub! Online ordering is where it's at! And lastly.... Please include some more vegetarian options. Veggie burgers are pretty standard nowadays. Stopped in here with a buddy before heading down to Citizens Bank Park. This isn't a real big place, but not sure how crowded it typically gets. I just went with the bacon cheese burger and fries. The burger is served on a Kaiser roll and overall it was fine, but nothing special. Onions, lettuce, and tomato are served on the side. The fries were your generic fries, and again, nothing special.
